What did you do this week to keep moving?

What are your hopes for this weekend/week ahead for exercise?

  • Ugh fell off the wagon while DH was out of town for work for 7 days but now I'm on modified bed rest due to my SCH. Hoping it resolves by the second trimester to start getting active again.

    I'm not super into the Olympics but probably figure skating. Swimming, downhill skiing, and sprints are also entertaining, I just only want to watch the actual event, not all the fanfare.

  • I didn't do so hot this week. I get home from work and fall asleep on the couch almost daily. I did get to the gym twice though, once to the Y to do cardio/lifting complex and once to CrossFit.

    The worst is that because I changed my membership to CrossFit (from unlimited access to drop in rates due to my sketchy availability) and have to figure my own workouts out at the gym, I have ZERO motivation to go. I don't *want* to when normally I'm so psyched to go.

    I love watching swimming, gymnastics,  and water polo in the summer. During the winter I like speed skating.

  • What did you do this week to keep moving?
    Went to Mommy & Me workout class twice

    What are your hopes for this weekend/week ahead for exercise? 
    This weekend we'll be walking a lot, I'd like to go to the above workout 3x next week

    Not a huge fan but I like figure skating best

  • @kvh22 I hope the SCH resolves itself soon. It’s hard to be down for the count for long periods of time. I get so stir crazy.

    @imrachellea I get that. When I change up payment at the gym, I always get way less motivated. I find if I just pay the bit extra, I hold myself more accountable. 

    @DuchessOfCambridge way to go get ‘em at Mommy and Me classes! If I were a SATM I’d totally take advantage of that. Great bonding time with the little one!
  • What did you do this week to keep moving?
    I managed to get 2 miles of running with the kids at work even with the crazy weather we’ve been having. (Snowed last weekend and took forever to melt off). I also got to the gym yesterday and today (days off this week for state teacher conferences) with the kiddo in tow. I’m hoping to get to the gym Saturday and Sunday too - for some cardio and strength training.

    What are your hopes for this weekend/week ahead for exercise? I’m praying for the best. We have parent-teacher conferences Tuesday and Thursday night so I’m going to push running with the kids both days so I can get some of a workout in and make the most of 12 hour days at school. My hope is DH will be home so I can get a workout in after DS has gone to bed.

    GTKY - Crazy fan of the Olympics over here!! What is your favorite event to watch (summer or winter or both)?  I love all the skiing events, but I also love watching gymnastics and swimming in the summer games. I’m in awe of those athletes. They are all so dedicated.
  • @MaggieG183 ...I just remembered I have conferences next Tuesday/Thursday too. So there probably goes my workouts those days 😕

  • This week was a bust for me work out wise. I slept poorly and add that to exhaustion and feeling not so great...so I rested. 

    This week I’m planning to get back into OTF. I’m already signed up for a couple of classes including one tomorrow. 

    I LOVE OLYMPICS!!! I will pretty much watch anything, but my favorites are anything involving racing—swimming, track, skating, skiing, etc.—team sports like soccer, basketball, and volleyball, or gymnastics or figure skating.
