How far along are you? How big is baby?

    29w4d, cauliflower

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?

I am feeling pretty good. Pelvic discomfort some days, which is normal. No new symptoms.

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

Rant: My rant is I'm tired. Also... my stupid work computer can't keep up with how fast I type I guess because it keeps missing letters I am hitting and it is super annoying.

Raves: I THINK we may be over the horrible sleep. *fingers crossed* He's slept great the past 2-3 nights. Also, I was looking at my registries the other day and noticed some small items have been purchased. So yay! One of my friends asked last night when the shower was though, which makes me wonder if the invites have been sent out yet.. The shower is November 3! I feel like the invites should have been out a while ago.

Dear Diary: We are going to the pumpkin patch and apple picking with my Sunday school class on Saturday. I hope the weather is nice. I think my mom is going to go with me, so she can help with DS.

GTKY: If you won the mega millions, what would you do with the winnings?

DH and I talk about this from time to time. We'd go on a nice long vacation (like a month), I'd keep my job but go part time, we'd donate, sell our house and buy one we are in love with, pay off our parent's and close friend's houses, buy my mom a house, and put a big chunk in savings for us and the kids. Oh how fun it is to dream!

Edited because I am 29 weeks, not 28. lol

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?

Pretty good overall. I've had 2 people tell me that I've really grown in the last 2 days so I guess he's in a growth spurt.

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

Glucose test was a mess so I'm impatiently waiting for the results. Typically how many days did it take for the results to come back?

GTKY: If you won the mega millions, what would you do with the winnings? Buy a house with a lit of land, pay off our parents house and invest in other rental propert and of course set up funds for the kids.

  • @AdorkablePixie I’m glad that you have been sleeping better! Have fun at the farm! My son and I are heading to the farm to go apple picking this morning. I’m excited!

@gorgeousariel I took mine on a Saturday morning and they were posted to the lab’s portal by the time I woke up on Sunday. Fx you passed!

How far along are you? How big is baby?

29+2, the size of a pineapple

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?

Just tired and sore. I have gotten a lot doe the past few days, but have paid for it with thigh numbness and scaitica.

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

So far this week, I have frozen a meatloaf and 2 batches of white chicken chili, plus I made 3 dozen pumpkin and chocolate chip muffins. I’m feeling like Betty Crocker haha

GTKY: If you won the mega millions, what would you do with the winnings?

I would pay off my college debt and that of my siblings. We would also build our dream home and a minivan. We would definitely travel more.

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms? Eh not really, the peeing every hour has finally kicked in. One night up 4 times. I'm like what the heck is happening??? I guess being head down ready to go has all this pressure now. Been getting lots of crampy feelings at night now like period cramps that come and go. Other then that, acide reflux still off the chain and back hurts every now and then.

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? Rant: just holy S I have so much to do before this kid comes and I don't know where to find the time. I'm too pooped after work because I always work nights after my kids sleep. Running on E. Also today my two sets of maternity pants no longer fit. Literally in a week they will not go over my hips like they just decided to spread???

GTKY: If you won the mega millions, what would you do with the winnings? Oh god a girl can dream right??! I would pay off debts, make college funds for kids, pay off mortgage and go on a vacation!

AdorkablePixie  maybe your friend was asking because she forgot the date? Because truly that is two weeks away! They had to go out already especially if people started buying.

@gorgeousariel I think two days? Did you have to retake?

@katy0990 I need you to come cook for my family lol! All sounds so good!

Wanted to ask all of you - do you guys count kicks one random time a day? Because mine doesn't move around all day more of morning, night and that's about it.

  • @katy0990 a pineapple seems huge! Congrats on getting so much cooking and meal prepping done.

@mcgeeva I've been peeing every hour to. I didn't think it could get much worse! I also feel completely overwhelmed by all the stuff we have to get done before baby arrives.

@gorgeousariel I got my results the next day. I'm surprised you haven't gotten yours yet. Maybe call your doctor?

@AdorkablePixie yay for hopefully being passed the horrible sleep stage. I'm also incredibly tired. Hard to believe our baby showers are right around the corner! I feel like your friend probably just forgot the date.

I'll come back later to add my own answers.
  • @scaredunprepared I feel 100% the same. Not sure how to get it all done. And washing hand me down baby clothes seems daunting bc I don't want to even touch that until I get my house in order. Ugh..and now trying to also order xmas gifts.

  • @mcgeeva and @scaredunprepared Nope, I asked her if she got an invitation yet and she told me no. She lives in Canada though, so maybe it's just taking a little longer. I do remember my last shower my MIL thought the invites only need to go out TWO WEEKS in advance. I am wondering if that isn't the case this time. My best friend was like umm.. no and got them out sooner. But she's so busy with her job right now, who knows who was controlling that.

@mcgeeva That's crazy that all the sudden your pants just don't fit. What the heck do we do when that happens.. buy more pants?! Live in yoga pants?? Maternity clothes are so pricey for something we won't even wear very long.

@gorgeousariel I think like a day or two. Did you go to labcorp? I did and my results were available a day after they released them to my midwife. Maybe call your doctor and see if they're in. If they have the results and haven't called it's likely because your numbers were okay.

@katy0990 Ohh, have fun!! I wish I had that much stuff in the freezer already. All I've gotten to so far is a lasagna. I need to get on it. I wanted to try to do a little at a time so I am not doing it all in one day.

  • @AdorkablePixie Girl I am not spending a DIME! I work at a law firm and have always worn suit pants daily but looks like they will need to deal with my leggings from here on out. I'm just guessing her head down there made my hips spread that fast. Curious what my doctor says on friday

@mcgeeva leggings it is! Lol  I'm preparing myself to live in them... that or no pants!   When I'm home, I'm pantsless.  Soon it may be too cold for that, though :(

How far along are you? How big is baby? 30 + 2, baby is as big as a zucchini?  - about 16 inches and 3 lbs

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?  Peeing every hour, sometimes more!  Heartburn is horrible, but thankfully zantac does seem to be providing more relief than tums.  Every night between 8 and 10pm I start getting upper back pain and pain at the top of my ute.  It feels like my muscles are separating or something. I thought it was baby's position, but I can't figure out why it's only at night.  It is so uncomfortable.  Only positions that are comfortable are sitting propped up by 900 pillows or hunched over a counter/ squatting with my arms and upper body supported by the arm of the couch.  It SUCKS.

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?  Tired as F.  I legit am ready for bed at 5pm.  And I am so overwhelmed by everything that needs to get done I just shut down and don't do anything, which is just making it worse.  Thankfully I did force myself to sort through baby clothes yesterday, so they are at least mostly organized by size and type of garment.

People are definitely noticing and commenting on the bump way more lately.  Guess flowy tops can only disguise it for so long.

GTKY: If you won the mega millions, what would you do with the winnings?  Buy back the house we just sold! Lol  And also buy a vacation condo in Peurto Rico and Vermont.  Fix up my parents home (parts of it really need repairs).  Then put away a bunch for baby.  Our dream is to open an animal rescue/ sanctuary, so probably buy a big piece of land and get started on that.

  • @mcgeeva I do not typically do a formal kick count. I just make sure that I have felt movement a couple of times each day, and if not I laid down and eat or drink something cold and with sugar.
  • Thanks! I didn't hear anything today. I am giving it tomorrow and then I will assume all is well.
  • @scaredunprepared Girl, I am ready for bed as soon as I wake up. :D I am so tired. A vacation home sounds nice!! That's a good idea.

  • How far along are you? How big is baby? 30 weeks, Coraline is the size of a Zucchini!

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms? Feeling stretched out. It’s weird seeing your belly button turn inside out in slow motion!

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

GTKY: If you won the mega millions, what would you do with the winnings? Pay off my debt, move to a lakeside home and go on the trip of a lifetime, probably to New Zealand.

  • @katy0990 no that's why I was so confused to see it that high. Normal range is 3-10 and mine was 15. I know ranges can be off because the range is taken for non PG people but I wouldn't think WBC would be that different.
  • @gorgeousariel Hopefully your doctor has an explanation that makes sense!
  • @katy0990 I haven't heard from my Dr
Those were just the results from quest portal. I don't have an appt until the 30th.
  • @gorgeousariel Can you call and ask?

@katy0990 yeah I need to talk to them about my rhogam shot anyway.
  • @gorgeousariel I would definitely call.  It could be you're coming down with something.  My white blood cell count was high too, never figured out why.  My doctor isn't concerned though, so I'm not either.

@gorgeousariel for sure call and talk to your doctor for peace of mind. Based on what my doctor said to me when mine were high (I forget the number) plus a little extra reading, you can think about pregnancy as a state of stress on all your body’s systems, which elevates your white blood count. The reference ranges for pregnancy for WBC are way different:

  • @Katzalia thanks for that! According to the chart, I am within range for 3rd tri.
  • How far along are you? How big is baby? 30+3

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms? My Dr says I’m carrying bigger than I am—whatever that means! I’m doing ok but I need to put my feet up above my heart more often to reduce swelling. Hard to do that with a demanding job and demanding toddler...

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? Glad we hired a doula! I’m excited to work with her this time around. Also DH and I went to a childbirth/yoga class last week and it was def worth our time! I really want to try more positions to reduce pain & pressure of childbirth.

GTKY: If you won the mega millions, what would you do with the winnings? Pay off my college loans and then go right back and get my PhD.  😊 Also get a new house, invest in kid’s college accounts, our retirement, and buy a house for my little sis.

  • @misscheapandchic I LOVE that name. So pretty.

@Erinka I think I forgot to mention I'd pay off my college loans. I'd for sure do that.
