Some of my faves in no particular order: Almost Famous JFK A Lion in Winter Mr Smith Goes To Washington Out of Africa Monty Python and the Holy Grail Donnie Darko Bottle Rocket Joe Versus the Volcano Moonstruck
The Man Who Knew Too Little, Pride & Prejudice (both!), The Sound of Music, Zombieland, Hot Fuzz, Serenity. Eta Inception, Young Frankenstein, Spaceballs, Galaxy Quest, Avatar.
No particular order, and I have a terrible memory but: the Scream movies (I've just always loved them), the proposal, never been kissed, empire records, maleficent...I don't know lol
Oh man, this is hard - Mean Girls (still one of the most quotable movies I know), Romeo + Juliet (the Baz Luhrmann version), Harry Potter generally, all of the Nora Ephron movies (Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, etc.), pretty much any paranormal horror movie, especially those produced by Blumhouse (Oculus is a favorite), Mary Poppins. I am kind of weird and picky about movies, it takes a lot for me to want to see them in theaters because I hate hearing others talk during them, it's really distracting for me. We mostly watch TV shows at home. However, when DD was really young and I was on maternity leave, I would take her to movie showings specifically for babies to come to and that was fantastic. It was intentionally loud so it never bothered me, and it was in the morning so I'd get a coffee and DD would nap on the soft seat and we would get some time outside the house.
DD born PPROM preemie at 36 weeks on 10/1/17 after over a year TI, then 3 failed IUIs, and finally a successful IVF FET.
Due with #2 5/2/19 after HIO once in my FW, because apparently that's how life works now. Team Blue!
A few favorites in no particular order... Pride and Prejudice Two Weeks Notice The Greatest Showman Les Miserables The Sound of Music Seven Brides for Seven Brothers National Treasure What About Bob Oceans 11 Elf
If you can't tell, I love musicals, but DH can't stand them....
Some of my favorites: Home Alone, Step Brothers, All the Lord of the Rings, Better Off Dead, The Shining, The Lost Boys, Roman Holiday, What About Bob?, The Secret Garden, Heavyweights. It's hard to pick just 10! I have a lot of favorites and like watching them over and over.

@sleepy33 I definitely got teary-eyed at the preview, and Lin-Manuel Miranda is so ridiculously talented I can barely handle it. I didn't realize he worked on the Moana soundtrack, I really like it.

He wrote the whole thing! And the guy who sang the part of Moana's father is George Washington from the original Broadway cast of Hamilton! And that's LMM singing on We Know The Way. Sorry, LMM super-geeking shall conclude now. Except to say he's on my laminated list of celebrities, but that's a GTKY for another day...
@lovelybabybumpz omg, I love the wedding singer and am sad I left it off my list. @sleepy33 yas and can't wait! I love Lin-Manuel too @fatmonica i love musicals too and DH is usually on the fence. Not his fav but I have to really pick out good ones that I know he won't mind. We've seen a few on broadway together and he liked them (Jersey Boys he actually loved, Wicked he was eh). As for movies, it's a total risk. He might hate it, love it, or fall asleep 10 minutes in. A few of his likes so far have been West Side Story (I really had to play up the street gang violence factor lol), Mamma Mia (also had to play up James Bond singing), and kind of surprisingly, Sound of Music.

I don't really feel like I have favourites that stick with me forever and ever. But I have favourite genres. I will watch and love almost anything psychological horror, supernatural horror, horror horror horror - except for slasher; I really don't care for slasher.
Also, science fiction, especially those set in dystopian futures.
Like Black Mirror. Give me your most disturbing episode of Black Mirror and I am in (a weird and twisted) heaven.
Right now, I'm working my way through The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix and it's almost the right mix of character development and creepy ghost moments. Could use a few more creepy ghost moments. But it's good.
We're also working on The Sinner (also on Netflix) which has the perfect build up of weird creepy details and twists that send you off in a new direction after every episode.
This is my favourite time of year, when all the horror movies hit Netflix. I consume all my tv and movies via Netflix, in case you hadn't figured that out.

Basically if it's 2000s chick flick/teen rom com, live action Disney, or incredibly depressing, I like it. I like normal Disney too but I think the live action ones have been actual cinematic masterpieces with depth. That makes me sound like a movie snob. I swear I'm not. See "17 Again".
