Pretty far ahead- they said 3-4 weeks. I’m high risk because of a rare condition called Pregnancy and Lactation Induced Osteoporosis (diagnosed when I spontaneously sustained 8 fractures on my thoracic spine a few weeks after my second was born) so they don’t want to mess around with anything that could cause my brittle bones more fractures. I’m pretty nervous about the c section. But I also don’t want a labor/delivery like I had with my first who was over 9 lbs, needed forceps, I tore and needed to be cut, it was brutal.
Oh wow never heard of that! How awufl. That is definitely more than enough reason.... I will say my sister and sister in law had c sections and I had a vaginal delivery, and I had the worst recovery of the 3 of us. So hopefully this is much better for you.
Just left my 36w appointment (bpp and nst). Baby is measuring a week ahead still and my OB said the mfm put in his notes something about inducing as early as 37 weeks. I'm also apparently dilated 3cm. If mfm gives the okay on Thursday, I'll move my induction up to next Tuesday. My OB said I'm not allowed to have baby girl this weekend since she will be out of town lol.
Just had my first of my weekly NST's a few hours ago.
Baby's looking great. I'm apparently having a little bit of painless "cramping" as the nurse put it, but I remember the same thing happening at this point with my twins. I don't think it means anything and the nurse didn't say anything else about it once I said I couldn't feel it (which is true, not even a tightening sensation).
