EDD: 12/28/18

Symptoms: Tired, peeing a lot from drinking water, a little hip pain, charlie horses in my legs in the morning

Upcoming appointments: Glucose test tomorrow and OB next Friday. 

R/R/Q: Rant: the tired has returned. Ugh. Mostly from having to pee multiple times during the night. 

Rave: FALL HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! The weather has been absolutely perfect.

EDD? 

Jan 2nd

Symptoms? 

Lots of fatigue combined with urge to nest! It's an interesting feeling, Hahaha. Some lower back pain and stabby ligament pain in the lower abdomen. Overall, though, I can't really complain!

Upcoming appointments? 

R/R/Q: 

I feel happy. Just happy content and chill. It's a nice feeling, like being drugged and just not caring too much about things. I want to nest like mad, but it's not stressful.
I think the only bit of stress I felt today was in the waiting room at the midwife, because there was a woman there who was soooo sick and coughing like crazy. She told me how her kids have strep/flu, and I seriously wanted to tell her to put on a face mask. That's what those things are supplied for!

A manatee, because I feel like I would look like one floating around in the water, and they're all peaceful and zen.
In my normal life, though, definitely a golden retriever. I want to snuggle with the person I love most all the time and be happy, and love the water and run through the forest like nobody's business! lol

EDD? 1/3

Symptoms? I am SO freakin exhausted but somehow can't sleep. It's super fun. Also, food just doesn't sound appealing to me again. I'm hopeful I'm eating enough for little guy to grow big and strong.

Upcoming appointments? Glucose test this afternoon and OB appointment next Wednesday the 17th. We are doing a hospital tour with my centering group! 

R/R/Q: 47 more work days until maternity leave! I haven't been enjoying my job, so I'm definitely counting down the days. Anyone else debating about coming back from leave? 

GTKY: What's your spirit animal? And why... I'm a sea otter. I love to snuggle, like to eat snacks off my belly, like being wrapped in soft cozy things...but if you mess with me I will cut you. Sometimes I think I'm also part squirrel - hiding nuts away for winter.

Symptoms? everything.  Actually extreme fatigue and I think that is the reason I feel like complaining about everything right now.

Upcoming appointments? 3hr GTT on Saturday since I failed the 1hr by 2 stinking points

R/R/Q:  see above for my current rant as I really would prefer trying to catch up on some sleep instead of sitting at a lab for 3 hrs.  Rave: my baby shower is on Sunday and although I don't like attention, I'm excited to see everyone.

EDD? January 7

Symptoms? Mainly just tired at the end of the day. I'm having lower back and hip pain too at night but nothing too terrible. I still wake up several times to pee each night and take a while to fall back to sleep so that's fun. But really, overall, I feel good!

Upcoming appointments? They have me on every two weeks now, so next Thursday I think

R/R/Q: Rant: We are so busy with all the stuff going on in our personal lives and at work I feel like I never have a second to rest. This coming up weekend is the last weekend where we don't have anything planned between now and Christmas I think. Rave: Almost in my third trimester!!!

Hmmm, I have no clue. A pig? I like to eat and lay around and don't mind being dirty but I can be one mean son of a bitch if I have to

Symptoms? 

Heartburn, feeling really large and heavy. I have been getting an uncomfortable pulling sensation on the front of my abdomen every now and then when I move in an odd way like climbing into the car. I think I may be getting diastasis recti 

Upcoming appointments? 

Today! I have my glucose challenge and an US to see if my placenta has moved back or not. Crossing my fingers it all goes well! Reaaaaally don't want to have placenta previa...

R/R/Q: 
As my body gets bigger and it's harder to move around I am starting to feel more and more vulnerable and it's giving my some pretty bad anxiety. Like that I couldn't protect myself and/or the baby if someone where chasing me or if I needed to climb out of a burning building that I may not be agile enough. I have always been very capable and fit so this is a new feeling and it's really strange/scary. Of all things to feel anxiety about during pregnancy this one seems weird but it's hitting me pretty hard for some reason. Anyone else? Is that "mama bear" instinct kicking in?

ETA: My placenta is now 3.5cm away from my cervix so I am officially in the clear!

EDD? January 5th!

Symptoms? Starting to get out of breath,  peeing all the time. So annoying!

Upcoming appointments? Oct 17th for my glucose test 

R/R/Q: I have my baby shower this weekend! I'm feeling the urge to nest! I'm dying to get a mattress in his crib and sheets on,  too wash his little baby clothes and put them away.  My H was trying to get me to use a night stand as a dresser for vinny and I was like... um so we can fit one onesie in there???? He was like well what does he need to put in there? 

Oh honey.... honey honey honey.....

I listed off so many things but the end he was like oh... yep that's not going to work

If you asked my H he would say a sabertooth tiger lol that's his nickname for me in the morning  because i'm not a morning person.  He's probably right lol I would say a golden retriever. I'm super loyal and playful like they are.

@bradleysmommy28 I'm so sorry you are feeling like Eeyore right now! I just had my one hour glucose screen yesterday and I wish I could give you a big hug. That drink was bad enough having to drink once. I really hope it flies by for you! Maybe bring headphones and watch some YouTube while you wait? 

I'm loving all of the spirit animals. Not going to lie, I definitely ask that as my fun question when I'm interviewing people.  

Do you ever overhear something at work and want to report it to HR? But you know that in doing so, you'll probably make life worse for that staff person that is being mistreated? Sigh...that's my day.

My pubic sympsis pain is much better lately, so I’ve actually been feeling pretty good...other than sore everywhere else and permanent exhaustion. Haha.

Upcoming appointments? 

I am currently sitting waiting to get my Glucose test done. Hoping I pass! I start my biweekly OB appointments next Friday (can’t believe the third trimester is so close!).

R/R/Q:
DH and I have been working on our basement every weekend for months now. We are finally getting close to finishing it, and I’m starting to believe that we may actually be done the majority of the work by the end of this month and can finally move our spare room and office downstairs so we can start the baby room. I’ve felt like nesting so bad lately, but can’t even buy anything because we currently don’t have the space.

I’d probably be a cat. I have a love/hate relationship with affection and am perpetually moody most days. Also, prefer my space and independence, but randomly demand all of DH’s undevided attention.

EDD? 12/30 (it got moved up from 1/2)

Symptoms? all of them - heartburn, insomnia, fatigue, also kind of losing my appetite. Last night I started getting this weird pain in my vagina, I'm hoping its not my cervix. Maybe its BH or ligament pain? It was kind of intermittent though. As I was doing a lot of activity at the time, I'm thinking maybe BH.

Upcoming appointments? Not until 10/30 but we start birthing class tonight!

R/R/Q: With all the birthing class handouts, this is starting to get very real! Excited to have our baby, but also nervous at the idea of labor and trying to decide what I want even though I've never been in such a situation before.

GTKY: What's your spirit animal? And why... I'm going to go with a dolphin. I'm (usually) a pretty playful/high energy person who loves being around others. Also swimming in the ocean is my happy place.

Symptoms? 

I'm having such a hard time sleeping lately. It's only really semi comfortable to sleep on my left side.  If I sleep on my right, my organs feel all squished and it's harder to breathe. However, if I try to sleep on my left side all night, my left hip starts aching. I can't win. 

However, the good news is,  THE ITCHING IS GONE!!! It is SUCH a relief to not have to deal with that any more.  Hopefully that continues.

I have an OB appointment and my glucose test on 10/19

R/R/Q: 

Rave:  DH has been so sweet lately.  This weekend he said such amazing things as "why don't you go rest, I can put the groceries away," and "I can clean up after dinner if you want to go take a bath."  Of course, he also laughed and called me a turtle when I got stuck on my back for a minute while trying to roll over in bed, but I can't hold that against him too much when I had been thinking the same thing lol

Rant: I had a cold last week, and the last lingering congestion/ cough will not freaking go away.  So annoying.  I miss cold and cough medicine!

Symptoms? Lightning crotch started yesterday. He was  moving all around and dropping his head on my cervix. I told him he doesn't need to be doing that to mommy.

I'm doing my glucose test next week and then OB appt on the 30th. 

R/R/Q: DH went to the dentist this week. He has to to have a crown and 3 fillings done. So there goes the money for our bathroom remodel. Sad face. We were going to go on vacation ( ironically it would have been this week) with that money and decided it was better spent on the bathroom. So now I don't get a vacation or a new bathroom.

Uhhh lol. I think I could be a cat for how lazy / sleepy I am. Or dolphin because I love the ocean.

Symptoms? heartburn. not much of an appetite. sleep is still okay so I am thankful for that!

Upcoming appointments? glucose test yesterday, waiting impatiently for the results. I felt absolutely awful about an hour afterwards, the internet says this is normal but if I have to do the 3 hour test it might be ugly. Next appointment is in 2 weeks

R/R/Q: Raves: the nursery is getting painted today! DH has been out of town for 2 weeks and comes home this weekend! Rant: it is finally getting cold and my winter coats are barely zipping

Back and hip pain mostly. Saw an RMT and she basically did nothing. I had better results with the massage DH gave me, which was awesome. Still trying to keep on top of the constipation too.

Had a blood draw yesterday in preparation for my Rhogam shot next week. I also have my 28 week growth scan and my GTT next week too.

Rave: Nursery is all set up! I just have to work on accessorizing now. I love standing in there and taking it all in! Just waiting for my water hardness test strips to come in so I can determine the best wash routine for the diapers and then I'll start getting those ready.

GTKY: During pregnancy? A two-toed sloth. I'm quiet and slow and like to do things at my own pace, but piss me off and I'll bite you.

@lacroixliz Check out maternity coat extenders on Amazon. They're about $45 Canadian, and it's like a panel that you zip into your coat so that you don't have to buy a whole new coat.

@lacroixliz I felt the same way after my glucose test! Headache and shaky. But I passed! Woohoo! I hope you get some good news soon.

@tosh24 I like that both of our spirit animal responses have some sort of, I'll F you up if you push me in there.

EDD? 1/8

Symptoms? I go back and forth between constipation and diarrhea. My hip hurts all the time. I started taking half a benadryl every night before bed- I feel guilty about taking meds but it really has helped me sleep which is helping me not be so irritable all the time. 

Upcoming appointments? not until Nov. 1

R/R/Q: DH has really stepped up at home this week. I think its because he knows he's going to get busier at work and wont be able to help much soon

EDD? 1/1

Symptoms? Heartburn and reflux which leads to nausea at times. It the worst when I am working overnight. Also starting to get some insomnia and issues staying asleep. I never really had that  problem with DS so I'm pretty bummed about missing out on good sleep now!

Upcoming appointments? next week for just a routine appointment. Then I think I will be going every 2 weeks. I feel like going more often makes it seem like the end is so much closer!

R/R/Q: I've been thinking a lot lately about how this will be my last pregnancy. We decided that 2 kids is it for us, which I am ok with that part. But I really like being pregnant. I like the way I feel (almost all of the time) and I love feeling baby kicks and movement. I'm sad that I only have around 11 weeks left enjoy it all.

I have no idea for this one. I would maybe go with cat. I am pretty laid back and have a mixture of liking my own space and being social ( at least that is how my cat acts). I  also become annoying and needy if hungry or wanting treats lol.
