Symptoms Month of October

It's October now and we are in the final stretch!

Re: Symptoms Month of October

  • I think I lost my mucous plug this week. The only reason I say this is because I've had tiny flecks of blood (brown/pinkish) and super mucousy discharge.
  • Loading the player...
  • my heartburn is noticeably better... I am wondering if she's starting to drop?????

On the downside, insomnia is becoming more common. I was up at 430 today, ugh!!!

  • @lifesabeach85 I'm frequently waking up around 5 right now. It is annoying because I'm beyond exhausted by dinner time. Hope you can find a way to get some sleep these last few weeks!

I think my main October symptom is going to be stress. There is just so much uncertainty surrounding our new house being finished on time and now the buyers of the home we are selling are having financial problems. We are in one big grey area and I cannot stand it. I hate the last few weeks of my last pregnancy have so much muddling it up.

  • Contractions are my biggest symptom since October started. That, and I can barely bend over any more, which sucks but is hysterical at the same time. Also all the exhaustion and peeing still going on.

  • You guys, I swear the baby dropped last night. Like, noticeably. I've been in pain walking around all day feeling like a bowling ball is about to drop out of my va-jay-jay. Is this normal? I don't remember this with DD. Do I really have to put up with this for 4 more weeks???

  • @offtoneverland Yep, normal. DD1 dropped around this time (and this baby did over last weekend, too). Helpful for heartburn, but horribly uncomfortable!! DD2 never noticeably dropped, and my heartburn was still raging when I was in labor.

  • @runningyogimama Ugh, this is going to be terrible then! I was hoping it meant baby would make her appearance soon, hahaha. H is getting pretty freaked out that she's going to be here any minute now!  :D When I was 2 days overdue with DD we went to the zoo and walked around for several hours and I felt fine. I can't even imagine doing something like that now. We need to go to the grocery store today but I told H he needed to go without me because walking hurts too much.

  • My LO dropped too but my heartburn is still burning quite a bit! The OB said she’s only dropped a little. I hope she drops more so that the heartburn goes away!

Also the exhaustion is real for me. I don’t do anything and need a nap!
  • I wish this baby would drop.  Still have raging heartburn, shortness of breath and now insomnia and the severe uncomfortable-ness makes it super hard to sleep.  The tiredness is making it super hard to stay motivated at work :frowning:

  • I'd rather have heartburn than have the baby drop! Heartburn you can at least take care of with some meds, there's nothing to get rid of the pelvic pain. I hate not being able to walk around comfortably. I just got up to do a load of laundry and now I have to sit again because being up is so uncomfortable.  :/

  • @offtoneverland I feel your pain, literally. It happened over the weekend last week for me, and this week at work had been a struggle! It’s also so much pressure down there, it’s uncomfortable to sit, but it’s also too painful to stand, and any walking is terrible!

  • @runningyogimama Not gonna lie, feeling pretty let down that this is normal and doesn't mean the baby's on her way soon :( I guess I had it really lucky my last pregnancy.

  • @offtoneverland I feel you. This babe dropped at 28 weeks. It's been hell.

Which leads me to my other symptom/problem. Kiddo is so low that I can longer bend over, even a little, nor can I lift my legs. Exactly how important are things like bathing legs and feet and wearing pants?
  • Omg insomnia. Up all night worrying about being away from DD for so long in the hospital. I was there 5 days for her, I’m hoping hard it won’t be so long this time.

Also, idk if it’s her knee or her foot, but she’s literally kicking through my belly button, making my innie an outie. It’s hurts like heck and looks super creepy!
  • +1 with exhaustion! Almost every day this week I've had to take a 15-20 min power nap as soon as I get home from work just to make it through the rest of the evening.

I'm terrified this little girl is going to make me pee my pants. I have to rush to the bathroom with her squirming and pressing on my bladder the whole way. It's painful.

@emjohn517 I feel ya. My little man thought my inny was a punching bag I swear... It's now a flatty about to be an outie but doesn't hurt as bad once it's flat.
  • I am with everyone on exhaustion. I had to go out to my car for a brief nap during lunch to get through the rest of the day at work. My hands are falling asleep at night now and I just can't find a comfortable position.
  • Yesterday and today I have been having cramping that's a mix of period cramps and diarrhea / have to poop cramps. They aren't regular or super painful and are only in my abdomen. Is this braxton Hicks? Wasn't expecting them so early (33w).
  • @ftm_jen I’ve had BH since 25ish weeks and have had those cramps on and off for the last few weeks (I’m 33w now as well). My OB attributes it to an irritable uterus since I’m a ftm and it has never been stretched like this before. I’m not sure if there’s another explaination, but she assured me it’s nothing alarming unless there’s bleeding or my water breaks.

  • @ftm_jen diarrhea can definitely make your uterus contract. That’s why spicy food is recommended to “induce labor.” But like anything else that can cause contractions like orgasms or exercise it won’t put you into labor unless you’re really basically there anyway. If you’re worried, call your doctor but if they’re not painful or regular I doubt it’s anything to worry about. Hope your stomach feels better soon!

  • Thanks @lifesabeach85 and @rosebud1230 . My stomach feels fine it's just the start of these weird cramps! Counting the days!
  • @ftm_jen I felt something like that yesterday, not diarrhea but I had several BM type cramps along with BH and I was pretty scared it was the start of labor, especially since the baby just dropped yesterday. However, after using the bathroom I realized it was just BM pain. I wondered if maybe with all the organs scrunched up in there, maybe things are just feeling weirder and crampier?

  • Face/palm... Couldn't feel em but pretty sure LO had hiccups today. I was sitting down and my belly kept rhythmically "twitching" while LO did the sqirmy worm wiggles.

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts it reminded me of popcorn popping but in my belly haha. All LO movements are so crazy to feel. I'm so grateful the anterior placenta didnt end up meaning I don't feel anything.
  • So, my water may be leaking. I woke up to wet underwear and it seems to still be leaking. I am going to the hospital soon to check it out. After I shower and eat. I assume that if it is leaking, I will have baby tomorrow.
  • @wildrainbow Damn girl, it's one thing after the other with you.  :/  I'm sorry. always, keep us updated.

  • @wildrainbow you’ve had such a tough pregnancy...thinking of you!
  • I feel rage-y. I’m just exhausted and done, and I assume it’s hormones, and then I want to cry because I get so angry with my family.

  • @wildrainbow - I know you're ready to be done, but on the bright side yay for baby getting to mature a little more!

Also exhausted over here. We had a busy weekend, and I have been cleaning/unpacking since we got home and I think I'm going to pass out tonight. Also lots of pelvic pressure, sciatic pain, and contractions.

  • @runningyogimama samesies :s I can tell my hormones are all over the place. I hate the angry cry because people just think they hurt your feelings when you’re really just so angry you can’t control it.

  • I just want to be able to walk or sit or stand or do anything without my back hurting. The random shooting pains are getting real old. Second up is the sciatic nerve pain. Please just stop already.
  • @linz36 - is your skin dry? If there is no rash, dryness, or any reason you can figure out I'd probably call your OB and mention it so they can rule out ICP. I am pretty sure being pregnant with twins puts you at a higher risk for it. Hope the itching stops!

  • @mockingjay1 yeah I should mention that it’s dry. I drink a ton of water, only use aveeno sensitive skin soap and boring, thick lotion but nothing helps. I’m seeing my ob tomorrow and plan to mention it. I’m sure it’s just my stupid skin but it needs to stop before I start bleeding.
