@sjnsjnsjn hearing from you and the others makes me feel a bit better! I'm not sure what anterior placenta means, but baby placenta is behind the belly button not at the back sothat is the same thing right? The doctor hasn't actually told me that or anything. I am waiting on a second ultrasound to get full results from my AS so I guess just the whole waiting thing is driving me crazy. FTM and I have a pretty solid reputation for anxiety throughout my life.
Just anxiety I suppose. Besides that, i'm feeling pretty fab, had a prenatal massage today....THAT WAS AWESOME!
@bhou That's exactly what anterior placenta is. Usually it's posterior, which is when it's on the back of your uterus. But with anterior, it's at the front, between the baby and your belly, which is why it can be so much harder to feel the baby's movements. It's basically like the placenta is acting as a buffer between baby's movements and your nerve endings, so all of the movements are more muffled than if you had a posterior placenta.
I am feeling a lot, but I'm a TTM and this is the first time I don't have an anterior placenta. I agree with @sjnsjnsjn that there will be a time where you're like "please for the love of god, stop kicking/punching/moving". And that's both in utero and after birth
I was 21+ 6 when I got my first two kicks, I have an anterior placenta, and there was no question they were kicks. You'll know! Up til then I only felt some pressure like feeling in my lower pelvis which I think was probably movement but it wasn't obvious at the time. It'll come and then you'll get to stress on days when there aren't many kicks (my current phase)
@smallbutmighty77 I wear compression socks everyday for work and they feel amazing once on and throughout the day, but holy cow are they getting hard to put on and take off! Especially with the static pain I’m having every time I lift my leg up to try and put them on I get a shooting pain! I think it took me about 5 minutes to put them on this morning and to take off after work lol
Last 4 appts by different people.. 3 u/s techs and my mw.. its been noted i have a very active baby. Lol, wouldnt know since i dont feel much movement but sounds like we will be in for some fun.
Edit: fail, was supposed to be in weekly random thread.
Goddamn I've puked six times today and haven't been able to keep down any food or liquids. I'm scared I won't be able to keep down my unisom and b6 pills either. If I can't I don't know what to do. This sucks!

Didn't sleep much because of lower back pain, and then on my walk in to work I had some terrible shooting pains all over my pelvis/lower abdomen. They were short-lived, so I'm not that concerned, I'm just annoyed and not ready to deal with people today. Good luck to all of us as we start the day! At least it's Friday!
@grebretso nooo ! Have you looked into the product Relief band?? They are pricy but maybe it would help?? Idk. I didn’t have bad sickness but when I used mine it did help...
As a FTM (and a generally fluffy person) I didn't feel baby movement until much further along. Now as a STM, I knew what it felt like so I recognized it much earlier. The kicks/movement will come - don't worry! Near the end you can feel baby HICCUPING in there! It's wild!
@grebretso and @kayjay44 sorry you are still getting sick, that’s awful! Have you asked your drs about possibly it being HG? It seems like it should be better by now. Really sucks it is still happening!
@allthingsgo I definitely don’t have HG, to be at that level I think you have to puke at least 5-10 times a day every day, and OTC medication doesn’t help. Luckily, Unisom + B6 is all I need to feel normal! If I don’t take it it’s rough, but yesterday was abnormal. Usually if I don’t take my pills I’ll feel queasy and puke maybe once or twice. Ladies with HG have it waaaay worse than me. Pretty sure @kayjay44 was diagnosed with it.

I just came across an interview with a woman who got HG three times! She would puke several times an hour and became so malnourished and dehydrated she had to be hospitalized and fed intravenously, every single time. Zofran didn’t even work! At the worst she got so depressed she got suicidal. Reading stories like that makes me feel like a wuss for complaining, lol.
Having kids must be worth it if she decided to go through it three times though. Yikes!

So baby is moving and at the ultrasound yesterday he was head down on my bladder. Today, holy cow he must be bouncing up and down. I keep getting quick sharp annoyances in my downstairs bit. Is this lightning crotch or something? Good lord it is annoying borderline painful spasms. Baby was really really active during ultrsound. Kept barrel rolling away from the tech.
@hnbergeron Ugh lightning crotch sounds terrible! I have my AS today and I’m actually worried baby will be too active for the tech to get a good view of anything, he/she’s been having an insane dance party in the for the last three days! I’m really glad there’s sign of life in there, but holy cow! Slow down a bit, buddy

@grebretso having HG that bad three times sounds like living hell! I can see having it once then being like ok maybe the next one won’t be bad but then when that was too I’d be done! No more babies!
@grebretso - The main thing with HG is actually weight loss. I’ve had to get IV fluids once, but mine is pretty mild (which makes me so glad it’s not worse).

This was me with my first. I had IV zofran and fluids every day and lost 24lbs in the first trimester. It was horrible and there were days I just slept on the bathroom floor because I didn't even have the motivation to get off of the floor. My second was better because we started the IV right away instead of waiting for me to get sick first. I was still miserable, but lost only 15lbs so it was better! This time I didn't even need an IV, but I was on zofran pills basically from when pregnancy test dried until 17 weeks. I only lost 8lbs this time!

Oh my god @AshleySparkle720 how are you still alive??? And you decided to do it again, you brave woman! I’m glad it was just like that with your first though, but fuck. Nobody should have to experience that! Nature is so wrong sometimes.

@grebretso after the first time I was mentally prepared for it. My ob and I had a plan for meds right away and that took the guess work out of when the sickness would hit. I've always known I wanted more than one child so I just had to accept this is how my pregnancies are going to be! Looking back at pictures of me around 12-15 weeks with my first make me very emotional because I was teetering on the edge of being under 100lbs and I looked awful.

Lots of love to all of you ladies dealing with tons of puking. @AshleySparkle720 you are wonder woman! My mom had HG 3 times and had to have TPN with my sister. I was close to HG with my first. Thankfully, this LO is taking it a LITTLE easier on me but I'm so annoyed with dealing with puking at 20 weeks still again.
