I had breast milk that I pumped 3 or 4 days ago in the fridge. I took it out today to freeze it because I don't think I'll be using it this week. It smelled fine... It actually had no smell at all. But then I tasted it and it had a clearly sour after-taste. Is this normal or should I dump it?
@zuzu43 Sounds like you have a high lipase problem. The milk isn’t spoiled but just has an off flavor due to the high levels. If baby will drink it, great. It won’t hurt him/her. However, at some point baby may object to the taste. Google info about scalding milk to prevent the bad taste from forming if that’s the case. I had to do this with DS.
