  • This thread is for those due March 10 to 16

    Due date: 3-16

Any appointments? Questions?: Appt is in 1 week. I broke down and called the office on Friday to see if they could offer any advice for my MS as it's not getting any better. The nurse said to try b6 and unisom, which worked wonders the first day, but I still dry heaved yesterday and vomited this morning. I guess it's good it wasn't all day though like before.

    Rants/Raves?: Nothing really besides above.

How are you feeling?: See above. At 12 weeks and still have nausea off and on all day.

GTKY: What is your favorite color(s)? Purple

    Any appointments? Questions?:

We had an appointment last Wednesday. It was so exciting because DH wasn't able to come to my first appointment, so this was the first time he got to see baby in real time, and he was very emotional. I think it made it more real to him, because since then he's been super motivated, taking care of all sorts of things we've been putting off.

We also went wide with the news after our appointment and all the love and support has been overwhelmingly amazing  <3

    Rants/Raves?:

Starting to bump/blump, but I really don't want to buy any summer maternity clothes. I was hoping to get by until the weather gets cooler before having to buy real maternity things, but I'm starting to get pretty uncomfortable in my current wardrobe.

    How are you feeling?:

I'm having good days and bad days. Nausea is less consistent, not every day. But on the days I'm getting ill, I'm sooooooooooo sick. I feel like I'll have a day where I feel amazing, and maybe get too hopeful that I'm turning a corner with MS, and then the next day it just kicks my butt.

GTKY: What is your favorite color(s)?

    Red

Any appointments? Questions?: My first OB appointment with the NP was last Friday, next one isn't until the end of the month but we will meet the doctor then. Does any OB office nowadays have you pick one OB and that is who will deliver your baby? Seems like everywhere around us the doctors have a rotating call where it could be anyone.

Rants/Raves?: waiting (im)patiently for the results of all my bloodwork and NIPT!!

How are you feeling?: Great! 13 weeks today!

GTKY: What is your favorite color(s)? All the blues!

  • @smf2018 I hear it’s becoming more common to have rotating doctors. Thankfully my doc only does that if she’s on vacation. She already told me her vacation she has planned isn’t until the end of March so she will be delivering baby. I’m a repeat c section so it’s slightly easier to plan.

    Due date: March 10th

    Any appointments? Questions?:

Next appt is on 9/11, no questions yet.

Rants/Raves?: I hit the 13 week mark on Sunday and we told my parents. I just need to tell my brother now who surprisingly I’ve only seen once since getting pregnant.

How are you feeling?: I have good and bad days. I over did it cleaning Friday and spent the weekend exhausted. I have more to clean today but I’m gonna go a little slower.

GTKY: What is your favorite color(s)? Pink

We have two sleeping beauties in heaven.
Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016.
Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015.
They will be forever missed. <3

  • @smf2018 I also feel like it's really common for OB practices to have multiple providers on a rotating schedule. I personally feel lucky that there are only 2 docs in my office; one I have been seeing for years as my GYN, and the other I hear is wonderful. They'll rotate my appointments between the two so that I'll be comfortable with either one showing up when the time comes.
  • @lucysmom2016 my MS is acting the same way. I hope it goes away for all of us soon.

Any appointments? Questions?: Had my 12 week ultrasound this morning and everything looks good so far.

    Rants/Raves?: Not this week.

How are you feeling?: Tired and sporadically cranky.

GTKY: What is your favorite color(s)? Red

  • Due date: 3/15

Any appointments? Questions?: my dr is awesome and letting me come in for a peace of mind heart beat check Friday.

Rants/Raves?: struggling with work clothes right now, haven’t told the office and it’s a struggle to hid it effectively!

How are you feeling?: still have some nausea, and definitely been a little cranky lately.

GTKY: What is your favorite color(s)? Green!

  • @Kenneylynn3 hopefully the nausea will pass soon!

@smf2018 It’s pretty common these days. I also have a rotating practice and honestly, because I’m Kaiser, I’ll probably be delivered by a midwife I’ve never met. That what happened with DS, because their call schedule pulls from practices around the city, not just mine.

  • @smf2018 my OB's office is a rotating practice, as well.  This will be my third c-section which guarantees I"ll have the OB who delivered my first two, which is really nice. There are some perks to such a major surgery!

    Due date: 3/12

Any appointments? Questions?:  I have my 12 week sonogram with the NT scan tomorrow.  Even though I already have my NIPT results back, I'm still nervous about the scan because the results weren't great for DD2 (she's totally fine, but I was a mess between her NT scan and the NIPT results).  Worrying for nothing!

Rants/Raves?:  Our home inspection for the new house is tomorrow . . . at the same time as my OB appointment.  Not great timing so I'm hoping my appointment goes well and quickly so we can hustle over to the house.

How are you feeling?: I feel like CRAP.  Usually I wake up feeling ok, but by bed time my heartburn is out of control and the nausea is so intense I can barely lay down.  Really hoping this passes for the second trimester, but not holding my breath.

GTKY: What is your favorite color(s)?  Black, black, and more black.

@dtspmama if I may, I’d recommend you get the inspection pushed back so you don’t miss anything. We have been fortunate/crazy enough to buy a couple different houses and had great inspectors who were able to give us a feel for how serious some of the issues were and showed us how to operate certain things in the house that we wouldn’t otherwise have known about. It is a really valuable learning experience!
Eta: TUMS!!! I had horrible heartburn almost my entire pregnancy with DD and couldn’t have lived without it. I have already had some this time too.
