Since even walking gets my BP up, my OB suggested I swim. I made it ten laps the other day before my HR got outta control so I’m gonna try to swim 2-3x a week. Now that DS is settling into his new kinder routine I can start lifting lightly again too.
My Pure Barre 6 month unlimited contract expired this month, so i won’t be going 3-4x a week anymore.. but I bought a 10 class pack and plan to go once a week.
I found some decent prenatal workout videos on YouTube by BodyFit by Amy, so I’ve been doing those. I’ve also been walking several times a week.
I’ve actually exercised every day so far during the month of August, woo!

I'm getting back into yoga, with some prenatal variances. It's helping with the lower back pain. The weather has shot right back up into insanely hot and humid, so walking or anything else is out of the question (I'm asmathic and have been told to avoid using my puffer). Waiting for that business to eff off so that I can resume the walking schedule. Other than that, just kayaking. Pregnancy is so boring.
I have not been very good last week or this week! So far this week I did a class on Sunday and a you tube video on Monday. I’m going to try to either get to a Zumba class or do another you tube video tomorrow, and then a class on Saturday morning- if I can do that I’ll reach my 4x/week goal.
I have been eating slightly better and feel much better and less bloated than I felt the first trimester; so at least there’s that!!!
My class that I was doing ended the session last week, and I'm definitely too pregnant to stay. So I've moved over to their prenatal class. I'll probably be doing an exercise class 2-3x/week and then I'm going to also be trying to swim every weekday.
That said I took my swim off this morning because I feel like I'm coming down with a cold, and swimming always makes those worse for me! Hoping to get a good night of sleep and be back in the pool tomorrow AM.

I picked a terrible week to start swimming. Our gym has two pools, one is used for classes and the swim team and the other is split in half for recreational lap swimmers and the baby swim classes. One pool is closed so when I went after work yesterday the entire damn swim team was practicing and I was sharing the only open lane with this guy who would only swim half of the lane and then turn around and go back so I'd come back from the far end and he's in the middle just floating around. I did my ten and left. I'm going to go lift today.
Ugh, @ladystout08 don't even get me started on people who don't follow good lane-share etiquette! I hope things are better on the pool front soon. And that you have a good time lifting today.
AFM, up early because anxiety/pregsomnia but no pool because I'm definitely still feeling icky.
