New to BBT Charting - Advise?

Hello so I've never done bbt before and since we are going to be starting clomid again once AF arrives I thought I would start trying. I have pcos so my cycle is irregular sometimes but its usually around 34 to 50 days. I have been using the Flo app to track everything. Around CD 16 I started spotting for 6 days and thought that maybe it was AF and I just didnt realize it.  But I started tracking my bbt on CD 21 and on CD 24 my temp dropped. So my first question is would the day I ovulated be the same day as the temperature drop? My next question is when would I start to see the temp drop before AF? Is is a sudden or gradual drop? And about how many days before AF or dpo does it drop? Today is CD 40 and I'm getting anxious to start clomid but I'm not sure when to expect AF. Thanks for the help!

There isn't necessarily going to be a temp drop on the day of O but my charts (also using Flo!) do show that some months. What you want to look for is a temp rise.

With AF, my temp drops a good amount either the day of or the day before arrival. For me, if temps are below 98 I know AF is coming soon. There's a gradual drop throughout AF to my pre-O temps which tend to be low to mid 97s.
