High-Risk Pregnancy

Circumvallate Placenta

Hey ladies! Looking for some advice. I am currently 20 weeks pregnant, due in January. I just got my anatomy scan and baby girl is looking perfect. My doctor however told me that I have a "circumvallate placenta", basically instead of my placenta being balloon shaped, its folded in, making it harder for nutrients to get to baby. She said I am considered high risk and will have to have growth scans every 4 weeks from here out. Has anyone had experience with this? She said there is a chance I will have to be induced early around 36/37 weeks but its not 100%. I've been trying to find information about it but it seems like a pretty rare condition and I was hoping you ladies may have some insight. As of right now baby is growing right on track. Just looking for others experiences. Thanks ladies.
