Thanks for getting us started @BusinessWife! Today is my due date and baby seems to be getting the message.
How far along? EDD? 40 weeks today; 8/20 EDD
How is everyone feeling this week? I'm feeling ready to not be pregnant anymore. I had the rookie mom false alarm this weekend when I was certain my water broke. I was standing in the bathroom with liquid dripping from me so I was certain it was go time. We went to the hospital and the mid-wife who examined me saw the pool of liquid but after testing they realized it was not my water breaking but instead a very liquidy mucus plug. I was so disappointed. This morning I am feeling some severe cramping that I am hoping is early labor. FX.
Any upcoming appointments? I have my weekly appt tomorrow morning if we make it that far and then I'll be induced on Thursday if we don't go on our own before then.
GTKY: How are you and SO making the most of your time as a couple before baby arrives? After Saturday's false alarm we tried to enjoy the weekend as our last before baby. We went out to lunch on Saturday and took some walks when it was really nice out yesterday. We also assembled a bunch of the gear including the rock n play and pack n play. We. Are. Ready!
We stopped to chat with a friend of ours on our walk yesterday and she insisted on snapping the photo of our last leisurely Sunday walk before baby. I look enormous.

I can't believe I'm here! Can someone add me? 28+1 with a baby boy. EDD is Nov. 11, but I will not go past 37 weeks, which Oct 22nd.
** TW** This is my second pregnancy that will prayerfully result in a take home baby. I've had 5 losses over my TTC journey and several rounds of treatments and surgeries. Surprisingly, my son was conceived on a treatment break and so was this babe. This is our second rainbow baby and probably our last. ** END TW**
3rd tri has been trying so far. I found out last week that I officially have Cholestatsis of Pregnancy (ICP) again. It's really stupid early for this dx and now we will play the game of how sick can I get before my dr takes the baby. My son was born at 35 weeks and I'm hoping I can at least hold out until then. For now, I will have all the monitoring appointments to keep an eye on me and babe and at least monthly lab draws to monitor my liver enzymes.
I have my 1 hour GTT tomorrow and then an OB appointment where we will go over all the monitoring and have a possible NST and BPP.
GTKY: I'm in get everything ready mode before 31 weeks if I can. Luckily, I saved all of d's clothes so I am going through everything and washing and seeing what needs to be replaced. H and I have done this song and dance before, once ICP hits, my body goes downhill fast, so it's crunch time. Ds is very excited and even tho I don't think his 2 yo brain doesn't quite grasp that everything is about to change, he kisses my belly everyday and talks to his baby brother.
@laurad75 First of all, you look amazing and I would never know you were 40 weeks just looking at you. Also, I hope the cramping means things are ramping and you get your squish sooner than later.
Lurking*** @laurad75 you look amazing! Fx your sweet boy comes soon. andplusalso don't feel bad about not being sure if it was time... with ruth my amniotic fluid was leaking but I thought I was peeing... so sometimes its just hard to know if something is really happening!

37 weeks today, and got my induction appointment...9/4 at 9 AM !
I saw my OB today and I got her to agree I only need to go in for one more scan and NST at 38 weeks! After the cluster-eff that was last Wednesday where I felt like the nurse was body shaming me, I had another horrible appointment on Friday. I was scheduled for 1 PM and didn't get called back until 2 PM. The ultrasound tech made a comment that my belly is really big, and that just set me off. I was fighting back tears the whole time she was doing the scan, and then when she hooked me up to the NST I just couldn't keep it together and I was crying the entire time. On top of that, I had an appointment scheduled with my OB at 2:30 PM, but because the MFM department saw me an hour late, I missed that appointment and she couldn't see me any later. I was freaking out because I really just wanted reassurance that I wasn't dilating at all, since DH was away for a bachelor party this weekend. Luckily I didn't go into labor obviously, I only have to go back to MFM one more time and I'm seeing my therapist today so I can vent about all of my body shame and anxiety. I feel like I've been doing a really good job this entire pregnancy and it makes me sad that I'm having this reaction so late in the game.
I woke up feeling a bit better on Saturday so I was able to clean the whole house, wash all the baby stuff, did some baking, went to the movies...I felt really productive. The next 2 weeks will just be getting the baby's room in tip top shape and spending lots of time with DH going out to dinner, hanging out at the coffee shop with a book and hopefully seeing friends!

Hi ladies! I’m 38+2 today. Welcome to the 3rd tri Wild Rainbow- sorry to hear all you are dealing with but sounds like you have a plan. Just realized I don’t think we heard from @sarcasticowl last week?? But maybe I’m just not remembering...hope everything is ok.
OB in the morning and I am hoping I am dialating but I have zero labor symptoms so you know....prob not.
@laurad75 you look gorgeous and I would have no idea whether my water broke - I remember my friend thought she peed and was embarrassed to go to the H but when I I’m brought there they were like yes you are in labor so better safe than sorry.
nursery is ready to go!

Wow, baby boom coming our way. And then it's a bunch of us due or inducing the week of 9/4, so feeling like things are really real over here! @laurad75 what a cute pic. I totally get the thinking you are in labor. I went in week ago sunday at 4 am, so I'm right there with ya. I think they probably get that a lot.
@sarzee2 sorry about all the bad appts and the body shaming. That is so annoying. Have they never seen a pregnant lady before? I think some people just don't get how their words can be hurtful. I haven't had as much of that, but today was the first day of school and I did have lots of kids putting their hands on my belly. I'm really not a touchy-feely type and really like personal space so I had to just kind of grin and bear it. And everyone feels the need to comment in general. Although highlight of the day was the kid who told me I'm going to spit out the baby. If only it were that easy...
@wildrainbow welcome to the 3rd tri group. Sorry about all that you've been through and sending you lots of good thoughts and creepy internet hugs.
AFM 37weeks 4 days -9/6. Feeling okay, although I spent a lot of today sorting books for teachers who didn't want to deal with their own crap and by the end I was exhausted. Just all the bending over, pushing around boxes of books, I was literally winded. But, since I'm only here two more weeks, it's kind of a good project for me to do. I usually walk to and from school, but getting DH to pick me up bc I don't think I can make it.
Appts this week- NST wed, Chiro Thurs, acupuncture friday.
GTKY- I don't think we're doing anything that different from normal, but just trying to take walks and deal with all of the extra crap in our house. Well, dealing with it would be an overstatement since it's very hard for DH to get rid of anything. Mostly we're trying to hide it under couches, the bed, behind things so at least we can't see it. I'm picking my battles at the moment. It's really hard living in a small apartment with no storage. Truly we need a storage space, but I'm concerned about paying for it when we're going down to reduced income and increased health care premium, etc.

I have been having contractions on and off since Sunday night but they are too inconsistent and far apart to make a move. Tonight I am so uncomfortable, I’m actually trying to sleep in the glider in the nursery bc I can’t lie down. I can’t wait to see the dr in the morning bc I’m so confused about what I’m feeling and I need to know what’s going on.

How far along? EDD? 32 weeks, 4 days. Just learned they will for sure deliver me week 36, if we make it that far, so looking at a delivery date sometime between 9/14-9/21 if all goes well!
How is everyone feeling this week? Both of my babies are breech and have their heads stuck up into my ribs all on side. That's been pretty uncomfortable on it's own, but in the middle of the night I woke up with sharp, stabbing pain in my rib that was so horrible I couldn't move. I've been having to lean to the left all day to keep pressure off of it...I'm wondering if one of my ribs cracked? Just trying to manage the pain until my appt on Thursday.
Any upcoming appointments? High Risk scan on Thursday and OB after. Next week I'll start going 2x per week due to Baby B's IUGR (she measured at 3rd percentile last week). Still hoping to make it to my 36 week "finish line" but we'll see!
GTKY: How are you and SO making the most of your time as a couple before baby arrives? Honestly we're just ready for them to be here. It's been just us for SO long now and we're ready for them! Trying to finish up all the tiny last minute details so that after this weekend we can just relax and wait....unless they come early

I don't think she's taking the surgery or the recovery seriously enough, and nevermind that her only daughter will be a matter of days or weeks PP, and she'll need US to help take care of her, instead of coming to help us with the baby at all. Just this evening he said he felt like someone was missing! And it was getting to be about time I quit hogging the baby! Lol

*typos / run-ons

William Dale Daniel was born last night at 1:45am. My ob was so funny kept saying what a good looking boy he is! Haha he is just amazing my husband adores him. We are entering the phase where feeding picks up- so far so good! Will leave hospital Friday morning. Labor story in spoiler!
Had a C-section in the end, wasn't an emergency and was my decision and one I am very happy with. I gave it a go for 36 hours without change past 3.5 cm. His heart rate started dropping slightly but I didn't want him to have any more stress. I made it through very painful cerclage removal with morphine drip only, 2 excruciating cervical exams, the second of which he broke my water during with no epidural. I labored 4 hours on pictocin with no epidural also. And I had had it and physically couldn't do anymore. By the end I was shaking so badly and so exhausted. C-section was actually great experience and he was so happy and chill coming out, barely cried and just hung out looking for his first meal! My husband was there with me playing relaxing meditation music and I slept through most of it. I'm in strict orders to sleep, next breastfeed is at 2am. I only slept 1.5 hours today. My colostrum is pretty good and William only has 2% weight loss. Of course C-section pain is pretty tough but I'm up and walking and I feel 100% at peace with my decision.

Re: 3rd Trimester Check-in | week of August 20th
- How far along? EDD? 40 weeks today; 8/20 EDD
- How is everyone feeling this week? I'm feeling ready to not be pregnant anymore. I had the rookie mom false alarm this weekend when I was certain my water broke. I was standing in the bathroom with liquid dripping from me so I was certain it was go time. We went to the hospital and the mid-wife who examined me saw the pool of liquid but after testing they realized it was not my water breaking but instead a very liquidy mucus plug. I was so disappointed. This morning I am feeling some severe cramping that I am hoping is early labor. FX.
- Any upcoming appointments? I have my weekly appt tomorrow morning if we make it that far and then I'll be induced on Thursday if we don't go on our own before then.
- GTKY: How are you and SO making the most of your time as a couple before baby arrives? After Saturday's false alarm we tried to enjoy the weekend as our last before baby. We went out to lunch on Saturday and took some walks when it was really nice out yesterday. We also assembled a bunch of the gear including the rock n play and pack n play. We. Are. Ready!
We stopped to chat with a friend of ours on our walk yesterday and she insisted on snapping the photo of our last leisurely Sunday walk before baby. I look enormous.2017 - egg retrieval #1 - 3 eggs, 0 embryos appropriate for transfer; ER #2 2 eggs, 0 embryos on day 3; ER #3 1 egg 0 embryos

@laurad75 you look amazing!

@laurad75 you look gorgeous and I would have no idea whether my water broke - I remember my friend thought she peed and was embarrassed to go to the H but when I I’m brought there they were like yes you are in labor so better safe than sorry.
nursery is ready to go!

37weeks 4 days -9/6.
