Quiet week, eh? I don’t have any medical appointments this week, but some insulation folks will be here tomorrow at 7:30am - ugh. Too early for my blood.

good luck @hkom! Nothing worse than being stuck in the hospital
Reg OB apt this week. I guess after this some point do glucose and fetal heart echo. Probably be a boring couple of weeks.

Regular Maternity Clinic appointment tomorrow. Excited to hear baby and, oddly enough, get a note from the doctor about needing a breast pump (for insurance purposes). I don't know why I'm excited to buy a breast pump - maybe it makes it feel more real.
No appointments for me this week, other than my weekly adjustment at the chiropractor. Someone asked me last week how it's going and I never responded...sorry, I'm terrible! It's been going great though. I'm not 100% pain-free with my sciatica but it's greatly improved my level of comfort throughout the day, even on days when I take long walks. Pretty much the only time I feel it now is when I get up in the middle of the night to pee and occasionally hobble a little bit.
My son does have a speech appointment (also weekly now) and his bi-monthly (is that correct? I never know) EDIS evaluation, where we'll talk about his failed MCHAT. I'm interested to hear what they say.

I have my regular MFM appointment on Wednesday. I think they'll do a quick ultrasound to check some things they couldn't get a good view of at my anatomy scan last month, so I may get to see baby! And hopefully get a good profile picture finally!! This kid likes to hide his face from us.
Mine did the opposite! At the beginning of the scan kiddo was staring at us (I'm still kind of creeped out), the sonographer pointed out his eye sockets and jaw, and I was just thinking "turn your head, stop staring at me!"

@echo-charlietango lol ours did that too. The sonographer was like "this is the face" and it was like a skull mask or something, which I pointed out. It was kind of horrifying looking. She printed it out for us anyway.
I have a regular OB appointment tomorrow. I think it's a boring one, but I'll schedule my GD screening which I'm nervous about. My dr also told me to start looking for pediatricians and I haven't done it so maybe I should do that today.
Had my glucose screening this morning. Fingers crossed I don’t have to do a 3 hour one. Then the regular visit, which was uneventful (which is a good thing!). Measuring on track, baby with a good heartbeat. Did not get counseled on weight, even though I thought I would.

We kind of got a skull/eye socket picture, but I don't think the tech got a good look at the mouth to look for a cleft lip maybe? I think that's what she needed. And no good profile shot. But damn if this kid wasn't excited to show us he's a boy
No appointments for me this week but lol at everyone who also got the straight on look/skull/eye socket photo. It creeped me out! It also weirdly reminded me of the Terminator, haha.
Our baby has been cooperative enough to get profile pics, but not still enough to get good ones. And not cooperative enough to allow detailed pics of the parts we need, like her heart! I actually haven't gotten the head on stare many of you have experienced! No eye socket pictures for us.
I cancelled/ postponed my follow up anatomy scan since insurance still isn't figured out. Bah. Rescheduled for Sept 5th.
Endocrinologist says my thyroid levels are staying pretty steady, so even though we had anticipated increasing med dosage by now, I can hold off! Next bloodwork in September will probably be the time we increase, but I'm glad for now i don't need to change anything. That's all going on with me appointment-wise. Boring next few weeks!
I met with the genetic counselor yesterday and had a blood draw for the cell free DNA testing, due to the urinary tract dilation discovered on my A/S last week. So, now we just wait for results. I go for my 24 week appt on 9/11 and another ultrasound 11/5. Those both sound so far away, but I’m sure they will be here before we know it!
@scaredunprepared We had to go in for a follow-up too - for her heart and left foot. Lol! She definitely was not cooperative the second time around, but that ultrasound tech seemed much more experienced and was able to get me to move in such a way (laying on my side, digging in deep, not comfortable at all.... lol) that we got the pictures that we needed.
Also, I'm glad your thyroid is staying steady! Mine had been at 1-1.5 TSH score for a few years after getting it steady and in early pregnancy it went up to 2.7. I got the midwives to approve a dosage change and, over 3 months, it's now back to 1.5. I'm hoping that it now stays at 1.5... and doesn't go any lower. It'll be annoying if I have to change my dosage to a lower amount. (I'm currently at 75 mcg a day, which is 1.5 pills, so I have to cut them. If I have to change it, it'll be like 50 mcg 3 days a week and 75 mcg 4 days a week and will be SUPER confusing!)
Appointment update for me! I got to thinking about the glucose challenge and decided that it wouldn't hurt for me to call my OB and try to take it early, so that if I do end up needing to take the 3-hour test I can schedule it for when the in-laws are in town over Labor Day weekend. And if I don't, I'll know sooner rather than later. OB is totally fine with that, so the lab order's put in for me to do the draw on Friday. Woooooo glucose drank.

@katy0990 Hope the results re: urinary tract dilation are good! @scaredunprepared Glad your thyroid numbers are holding steady - hope the insurance stuff gets sorted so you can have your follow up a/s soon!
Had a fetal echo today (surprise for me since I've lost track of all the USs they want to do...). Everything looks good! And baby is measuring right on track which is great for having GD! My MFM is happy with everything, including my blood sugar numbers! WOO!!!

@PensiveCrayon I'm glad the chiro is treating you well! If mine gets bad like last time I am going to go too!
AFM - I have been extremely MIA, sorry! I will try my best to catch up. I got surprised audited at work last week for 2 days, then was traveling and finally we had my niece over the weekend, so it's been hard to get on here. I had an appointment today which went really well! I'll find out later today if I passed my GD testing. Doc said I'm measuring two weeks ahead at 28 weeks, but that I have a long torso so she isn't surprised. She praised my weight which is something I've been working hard on, so I'm really happy about that. Super low BP at 98/54, but also not a concern.
I had my A/S today (I'm probably the last one of the group) and it went so well! Baby boy is as good as can be. We got the best picture of his bicep and man does he have some muscles. AND my SCH is gone! It completely resolved itself in 3 weeks. MFM Dr said she wouldnt have been able to tell I had one unless I had told her. I am so relieved.
@CecilB93 yay for a great appointment! @temmetime so glad you had a good appointment too! @gorgeousariel so glad you SCH is gone! And super cute muscles!
