I stayed up wayyy too late binge-watching OITNB, but I finally finished it! DH has his consult with a specialist about Lyme's this morning. I hope they can give him a good treatment plan because it's really hard to have him sleepy and aching all the time. I just want him to feel better and be back to co-parenting. +1 to wanting the rain to go away. I was planning to do some yard work this evening, but it's supposed to rain all day.

@kns1988 I started it last night but only made it a few episodes in. Also, my yard is a jungle. I got the weeds pulled in the flower beds but my guy was supposed to come mow tomorrow and the rain is making it worse.
Oh, also, a friend of ours who's a contractor, came over yesterday with his partner to get a look at our spare room/future nursery and we talked plans. Our friend is *so* excited he has already been looking up nursery ideas and asked me if he's just doing the contracting or if he can decorate too. It was so funny. I think it's partially because his kids are teenagers and he has all boys so he's excited about a little girl.
Our house should hopefully be back in working order today after our new washing machine is delivered. I feel pathetic that I'm so excited to get a new washer and do laundry all day, lol.
Alright, I'm all over the board today because I'm procrastinating like you wouldn't believe, but can anyone else relate to how annoying progesterone is? Why do they make it bright orange?!? Like, couldn't they have picked any other color that doesn't look like blood? I have to use it every night until 36 weeks.

@kns1988 What brand are you using? I was on prometrium which is white. But I do remember ladies on the IF board complaining about their red progesterone suppositories. I bet a man came up with that colour choice....

@ladystout08 Thanks for the reminder about Christmas shopping lol! I usually start about now. There are some years I've been finished by end of September. I'll have to finish early this year since I doubt I'm going to want to be walking around the mall in December. Although, the last couple of years most of my shopping was done online.

@tosh24 oof, I haven't even thought about that! I hate shopping around the holidays anyway, but pregnant + Christmas mall crowds sounds like a special kind of evil.... I'll have to check that off early this year!
I finally, for the first time in 4 months, went on two long walk/hikes this weekend! @kns1988 I started watching the new season but that show makes me so anxious I had to take a break. It might have to wait until post pregnancy when I can start taking ativan again lol.
@tosh24 I am a scrooge and I think I'm going to suggest to both families that we don't exchange gifts this year. Or at least do it secret santa style (for the adults. I'll still buy gifts for the little ones of course). @kaf1788 not a Scrooge, just honest. I already told my family that Christmas is going to be low key this year. Maybe ask your family for experiences (family pass to movies, local attractions, etc.) rather than stuff this year?

Are you ladies sizing up in bras and moving to nursing bras already? Seems so early to do so but I need a new bra and purchasing a nursing bra kind of makes sense. I saved mine from nursing DD but I think I just need to get new ones. Anyone find any nursing bras at Target that they love?
@UnbreakableKimmySchmidt I am using a bra extender right now, its giving me enough room to get by right now. I had one previously for some strapless bras that were just too tight. I'd be curious to see what others say. I need nursing bras too but i'm going to wait to buy until closer to my EDD
@UnbreakableKimmySchmidt I had to size up so I went ahead and bought nursing bras. I guess there's a chance that they will be too small again once I'm actually nursing, but they were the same price and it really made no difference to me on style so I just went for it. Unfortunately I couldn't get away with an extender, my cup size is significantly larger already.
I'm sized out of Target unfortunately, but I had good luck with Paramour and Freya nursing bras (Paramour being significantly less expensive than Freya)
I'm so nervous for tomorrow morning! At 9:30am I will be sitting in front of my state board for my oral licensing exam. Once I pass (and hopefully I will) I'll be an LMFT! This has been a loooong journey. I know i've mentioned my test before, so i'm sorry for the countdown lol it's been consuming my brain lately and I'm happy to have it behind me!

We started packing to move so our apartment is in disarray which has been interesting with a toddler. Moving was easier when DD was stationary. I'm really excited to move but DH is being grumpy about it because he wanted to stay in our apartment for another year. I was really excited to put together a nursery since I didn't get to with DD and he's now decided he doesn't want to purchase anything since we don't expect to be in this house forever. I think we at least need a dresser and his solution is just keep everything in boxes on the floor and change the baby on the floor.
ugh @pttomato that's so annoying! My DH gets like that about buying furniture... hello, it's not like you can't move the dresser to a new place? Men, suggesting we just live out of boxes. WHY?!? I'm sorry. Just try to calmly tell him why it's important to you (at a different time than when you've already been talking about it) and maybe he'll come around.
@sweetyjenj oh my, good luck!! You got this and it will feel great to have it DONE.
@kns1988 Dude I binge watched all of OITNB as well a couple weeks ago. Let's just say- minus giving any spoilers- the ending was intense (as they all are). That show always throws me for a loop emotionally. I think they are renewed for another season.

I'm sorry. Just try to calmly tell him why it's important to you (at a different time than when you've already been talking about it) and maybe he'll come around.
His problem is he really, really hates moving furniture, although we are getting movers for that part so I don't really get it. At least we are getting a dining table, we've been using a card table and folding chairs for the last 6 years.
Ugh my mom came over to visit today and pissed me off the entire time she was here. She kept hounding ds for a kiss and I kind of snapped at her and told her that forced affection is not okay and I don't appreciate her doing that to him. Granted he's only 15 months old and just started giving kisses, but my kid, my rules.
It has been crazy. DD came down with a fever this weekend and is still too sick for daycare. Yesterday I went to work because importanr meetings. Today DH and I split the day for child care so we could both work. However, it meant that i worked this am and then had to take DD to my 16 wk prenatal, then blood draw, then prescription pickup. Girl wouldn't sleep last night (slept 11 pm to 5 am) and skipped nap today. And isn't feeling well. But I had no choice, we both had to get work done, we have no family in the area.
It has been a day. And i have to try to figure out tomorrow.
@UnbreakableKimmySchmidt I went into nursing bras quite some time ago (20 weeks tomorrow). It started out innocently - I bought a nursing sports bra that was really really loose for sleeping, because my breasts were so sore that I'd wake up at all hours from the discomfort. Well, that bra no longer fits, so I've just been sizing up as required with nursing bras, because they're cheaper than anything else I buy ( I'm an unusual size, so have to shop at more expensive places). There's no shame in buying a nursing bra.
@pttomato That’s super frustrating. My DH can be like that sometimes. I hate it when he’s grumpy because then he turns into FIL. Hopefully, he’ll get over it once you move.
We have once again entered the realm of potty training. I’m being kind of lax about if because if I start pushing DS too much he’ll just fight back. My mom had him for a little while today and she said out of the 4 kids she’s trained (my brothers, my nephew, and me) DS is the most stubborn.
I have on a maternity maxi dress that a friend gave me, and I finally feel really cute instead of frumpy! 17 weeks and my bump is so much more defined than last time.

@pttomato sounds a little bit like my H. Thankfully I’ve always been pushy enough to get him to do things anyway. We didna full nursery for DD in an apartment we only lived in for 11 months! I’ve actually found it harder to get him to do things now that we’ve moved into our house (we plan to stay 5-10 years). I think it’s because he feels like we have all this time now since we ARE staying here. Sorry for hijacking that haha but I hope you’re able to get him to agree and realize his plan isn’t super rational for a newborn!
@kns1988 I’ve started refusing to leave the noisemakers in non maternity clothes because I look aoooo frumpy and not at all obviously pregnant in them. I feel so much better about myself in maternity clothes!
