They are okay with Ada. Freya (top pupper) really doesn't have much to do with her. Dakota (middle pupper) licks her in the face and is done with her. Layla (bottom pupper) sniffs her to death. Doesn't lick, just nose to A at all times sniffsniffsniff. We limited their interaction for a long time just because the dogs are all still hyper, haha. Freya is about 3 or 4. Not sure about her background, but she's just a scared pup. She is the main reason we waited until Ada was bigger to do more introduction. Dakota is 5 and is pure Siberian Husky (not just her breeding, but her personality; full of energy, fluffy, mischievous, stubborn, sweet, loyal, and gorgeous). Layla is 6. Layla is a dog's dog, happy, lazy, goofy. They range from 40-60 lbs. I have doggie DNA tests for Freya and Layla and I really need to send them in!!!
This is my spoiled girl, Georgia. She was a very in your face hyper puppy bc her momma died when she was four weeks old. She missed out on crucial doggy learning but I love her and think she’s perfect. She’s developed a weird walk bc of her old age and breed. She gets to start supplements for her leg nerves. It doesn’t stop her from acting like a puppy though.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
These are my girls Bella (l) and Callie (r). They definitely know something’s up. Callie’s pretty snuggly anyway but has been even closer lately. Bella is not usually a sit with you cat and she’s been sitting with and napping on me. Drives DH nuts since they’re not normally snuggly with him at all.
Fun story - we have a two story entry in our new house. Both cats have jumped on the upper ledges from the stairs and haven’t been able to figure out how to get down. We’ve had to get the ladder out to rescue them. In a few weeks we’ll put some shelves up so they can jump back up onto the stairs or jump down into the entryway.
When we had or girls, we just had our bulldog. She is pretty lazy, so she wasn't a fan of all the night time feedings. She mostly kept to herself if it was just one of the girls, but every now and then...(picture) She's a little jealous of anything getting attention that's not her, so if we were with the girls, she was making sure we knew she wanted love, too.
*TW* We actually put her down this past may, she was old (15) and sick.
She would look at whichever adult was attempting to soothe a crying dd like they were an idiot. Since we put her down when dd was only 11 months, and not yet walking, I have limited experience with mobile babies and dogs. Su did try to teach dd to walk, and encouraged her during learning to crawl. They got in a few face licks, and Su was a big help with working on dd using a gentle touch, because she would walk away if she was being too aggressive with her petting. We never left them alone together, and DH actually took this photo, I probably wouldn't have invaded Su's space like that. He claims they were only like this for 30 sec to snap a photo, but sometimes I question his judgement.
My little diva Lucy has been so bored since I've been feeling crummy, but she's been a good sport about it. My husband walks her when I haven't been up to the job, but I know his walks are all business, and he doesn't take her as far as I do. Feeling better these last couple days, so I'm going to try to take her to the dog park or beach today so she gets some good romping time in
We try and make sure we still give Tanner attention. But he’s been fantastic with DS since day 1. We obviously work with DS about being kind and gentle with the dog, but our pup also has the patience of a saint.
