Obviously we have very few rules about where Dozer sleeps. Top right was him under our covers, bottom right was in the warm clean laundry bin, and bottom left was cuddling me when I was pregnant with my daughter.
Hes 3, a beagle and hound mix, and we rescued him when he was around 4 months old.
I've been so terrible about taking photos of my pets since DD was born, tried to find some I haven't shared with you guys yet! I've got one with our littlest cat Clementine, after she got into some coffee cake, one of our bigger/older cat Calamity, basking in the sunshine, and then one of our pupper Archie where he looks like he's wearing eyeliner, haha.
Then accepting Invisible Treats (only Mike took them, Atlas was too smart to accept more than one)

I needed this thread this morning! Took Friday off for a long weekend away and paid dearly for it at work yesterday.
I love this one of Jackson not making eye contact since he knows he's not supposed to be laying on my parents' new furniture. The power at our house had been out for two days and I was having surgery that afternoon so I was too anxious to tell him to get off!
@AdorkablePixie Ha! Usually when they beg me for early dinner, I just tell them "no, I'm the boss." And now I say "no, I'm the boss -and- I outweigh you both, so I am bigger too." They don't get the nuance, but they don't get fed before 5pm unless we're going out and want them to poop sooner.
@lippy625 How was your surgery? Also, your puppers are super cute

Well, I don’t have any super recent pics of my pups since they’re in KS and I forgot to get a pic of my old man kitty last night. But, here’s one of me FaceTiming one of my dogs a couple weeks ago.
I look like a crazy pants, but I was excited to see my Husker boy. I’ll probably cry when they come back home next Thursday!
He has DH's sock in his mouth in the pic above - it's a daily ritual that he steals one of DH's socks when he gets home and then hides it somewhere (usually not very well)! lol! He was super fluffy before his haircut last week! Then he is cuddling with the bunny we got for baby bean.
This is Reese being ridiculous resting his head on my brother's legs!

@echo-charlietango sorry late response, it's been a rough few days!! I should've clarified in my post with Jackson that the picture was actually from March The cutest pictures of him are when he's getting in trouble though haha
@maureenmce he would love you right back! He's definitely the most "loved by strangers" dog I've ever had haha When he's with me in public we are constantly stopped by people wanting to give him some snuggles. I've wanted to have him trained to be a therapy dog for hospitals/nursing homes but we don't have any local programs unfortunately.
I watched this video last night where a fake robber comes in and attacks the homeowner to see how the dog reacts. The big dogs all ran away (one right out the front door), but the small dogs were ferocious and attempted to fight off the attacker. Thought it was interesting.
Facetimed with my boys the other night and Husker just looked so sad to see me...I think he’s finally getting homesick. Herbie looked excited this time, the silly goof! I actually may be the goof here...
@binxybaby interesting but I wouldn’t try it at my house. My sweet boy Charlie is a 100 lb lab and we found out the hard way if Mommy doesn’t say it’s okay. He will attack and wont stop until I call him off. It was my cousin who came into our house early morning to work on a construction project, unannounced. I didn’t hear him until it was to late. Once I called Charlie off he ran upstairs to me but the bite required stitches and Charlie now has a vicious dog report. One more problem, his fault or not, and we will be forced to put him down.
Side note: I feel very safe in my house with him and him around my kids. He is the most submissive around DD. He lays down and rolls to his side when she is near and begs for her attention.
@LLynde5 Wow! Quite the guard dog! It's nice to know your family is safe, but I can understand the worry of him accidentally biting someone who isn't actually an attacker.
We protect him as much as possible. We kennel him when we have people over other than close friends and family he knows very well. (Like my mom, he can hear her car a block away and starts doing a dance for her, he’s a loveable pup). We muzzle him if he is going on an unfirmilar place until he is adjusted and he is always leashed unless we are at our house, our camp or my parents. He knows his boundaries there and he will not cross them even provoked.
ETA: we have had a vet and a behavioral DH say “he’s a one person dog and rehoming would never be an option for him”. Not that I could give him up. But I have major guilt because I want him to be a care free typical lab and his brain wasn’t built that way. We see a beautiful smart funny boy but he will never be able to go to the dog park again or run free when we go hiking. If he thinks I am in danger even on a walk his behavior is intimidating. I know I have control and so does he but lord knows he has scared enough people in his day. The best part is when he does intimidate people and I obviously have to correct him, people say “wait isn’t he a lab” and the Charlie bounces away, wagging his tail like well yes, yes I am!! Lol/Grrrr
@LLynde5 Sweet Charlie! One of my boys is a serious guard dog too, so he rarely gets out (especially since I got pregnant!). Luckily he looks intimidating, so people don’t try to approach him, but still. I wish I could take him to dog parks again, but it’s impossible to know when they’re empty or only occupied by non-threatening humans & pups.

My derpy dog looked extra special tonight, but the photo just didn’t quite capture his goofiness.
So here’s Mike, napping on our feet as we ate dinner. Both dogs love being under the dinner table -it’s their safe place apparently.

My little baby ajani this photo is just typical her always getting into mischief but looks cute and gets away with it here it was dirty paws in the clean washing
Here is my beautiful, sweet, amazing, perfect girl. Sans right front leg she's such a trooper, but today was yelping frequently. We needed to get a refill of codeine. The regular pain pills weren't cutting it. She's much happier and more comfortable now.
