Nothing juicy today, but I'm secretly glad the supervisor I shadow on Fridays is recovering from knee surgery because we got to sit a lot more than usual. And my back is still killing me.

I don't like Cardi B. I said it. Those familiar with the show Friends... her voice gets to me just like Chandler's ex girlfriend, Janice.

I hate being called "mama" or "mommy." As in, "hey, mamas/mommies, how much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?" No. What happened to "hey, ladies?" Or "hey guys" or just "hey"? No one is allowed to call me mama/mommy except my children and people who are specifically telling my children "go ask mama," or "your mama is over there." I find the whole thing where people call other people mama or mommy very very weird and reductive. I am a lot of things, not only a mother.

What makes this a confession rather than a UO? I won't love it posts that start with "hi mammas," even if I totally would have if they had just said "hey everyone." I don't care if it's petty, and they'll never know.

Here's another one. The hot, trendy term "Big Dick Energy" really annoys me.

ETA: Especially when applied to kids. There was a fatherly post on facebook today about raising kids with BDE. *eye roll* Like we need any more unbridled masculinity, now we're encouraging them to be giant penises...

@meggyme I have never heard that term! I definitely would not use it to refer to kids. That just seems wrong.

@meggyme I hate that term too, it's so gross on so many levels. And I can't believe anyone would use it in reference to a kid!

My confession is that I decided I'm deliberately avoiding doing work for the rest of the afternoon. I got pissed that even though I'm exhausted and pregnant and carried more of the load this week than several of my teammates, I was still the first one to actually do anything today. So this is my little petty way of getting back at them. They can have lots of fun this afternoon without me!

@lovesclimbing I can see what you mean but I am totally guilty of occasionally starting texts with a “hey mama” I don’t do it regularly and it’s always when I am talking to their “mom side” and have a question about kids or something

so, if it isn't really about manliness, or masculinity, or even dicks, then why is it called "big DICK energy" and not "big PUSSY energy?" phrases like this push a gender-biased agenda, which is why we should stick to non-gender discriminate terminology, like, "CONFIDENCE." it's equivalent to telling a boy he "throws/runs/punches/etc.. like a girl." by coining positive attributes as gender-specific, it by default attributes the antonym to the opposite gender. 

why do men have to fucking claim everything??!

I've been waiting for this since Tuesday, because I was working at my apartment building in a unit without a working bathroom, so I peed in a leftover empty Wendys cup. Flame away, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

I've had nothing but carbs all week long, and for no valid reason other than I've been too lazy to cook a nutritious meal all week.

As long as you aren't like the guys on my husband's job sites and leave it sitting around, I say pee away.

Here goes my confession:

I'm currently having massive diarrhea in my moms bathroom while she watches and entertains DS. I suppose it could be worse we could be in a store without my moms help, etc.

@meggyme definitely not. This was a complete shock as I was told I had less than a 0.005 percent chance of being pregnant. I'm still in disbelief

It's complicated and I'm not proud of myself.  My marriage has just kind of been a friendship.  I don't feel like I was ever really in love with him but I love him like family.  So with that being said, the first person I ever fell in love with is the father.  No my dh doesn't know yet.  NO ONE does but you guys now.  It will come out in a couple weeks though.  I just need a little time to process this all myself.

Yes, I plan to keep it.  I really think it was meant to be and I want more children no matter what.  I'll be sure to update as we go along...I can be the talk of the BMB lol

@violetmarie61516 Life is not black and white so I cannot judge from where I stand. I commend you for committing to be honest with everyone involved. And the bottom line is, we are here to support each other through pregnancies. It sounds like you are going to need support so I hope you can find that here. You are still a woman growing a baby and that is hard enough as it is. Keep us updated on how everything goes.

Confession: I'm ready for a gf that came in town to visit to go home so I can relax! I may sound like horrible friend, but she's single and all she wants to do is party while in town. She knows I'm pregnant, so it pisses me off that she thinks I can stay out til 2am just because it's her "vacation".

Whenever people say they ‘balled’ about something (in reference to crying) I picture them doing dirty things and laugh. It’s ‘bawled’ guys. Maybe this makes me a jerk. I’m not usually a grammar nazi either

Used my pregnancy as an excuse to stay home from work on Tuesday. While I’ve been feeling nauseous, there really was no reason I couldn’t go in. Besides me wanting to have the house to myself and watch OITNB all day. Which I did - it was awesome.

@Shelbyville30 @mayoduck My job encourages us to use a sick day if we feel like we need a mental break. I agree that they're necessary sometimes - pregnant or not.

Wowza! Girl, no one can tell you how to feel but yourself. I can’t even imagine the emotions you are going through. I think it’s really brave to acknowledge the way you are feeling though though. Hugs girl

@navete I'm hanging in there. I haven't been able to talk to the father yet. I'm hoping to get it all out by 10-12 weeks so I can work out things before I am too far along. Just taking it day by day right now.
