1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 13 weeks, lemon/peach

2. How are you feeling? Better, I do not feel as tired as I used to, hello 2nd trimester, is that you?

3. Any appointments this week? I have my NT scan tomorrow, and I am waiting for the results from the genetic testing, its been 2 weeks, why is it taking so long?!

4. Rants/ raves/ questions? n/a

5. GTKY: Do you have any siblings? If so, how many? 1 younger brother.

1. How many weeks/how big is baby? 13w today! App says baby is as big as a daisy, whatever that means. 

2. How are you feeling? Still perpetually tired and nauseated, which I think is compounded by the fact that I have a pretty demanding job and then two kids to chase around when I get home. Hoping second tri brings some relief.

3. Any appts this week? I went on Tuesday, saw the baby on the handheld ultrasound and it actually looks like a little person now which is always fun. Saw the heartbeat but didn’t listen to it this time. Also passed my early GD test, so woo hoo at that. Go back end of August.

4. RRQ? Meh, not really. I’m moving next weekend and am just really exhausted at the prospect of everything that needs to be done between now and then.

5. Siblings? Yup! I’m 28, my sister is 24, and my half brother is 16. I didn’t know he existed until 2015 though. He’s a great kid and I hope I can make up for lost time as he gets older.

MANY. Twin brother, older sister! 14 year old half brother, and 4 close-in-age step siblings. Needless to say family get togethers are not small.

2. How are you feeling?

Pretty good.  I’m having more good then bad days now with the morning sickness so fingers cross d it goes away soon

Nope not until August 

4. Rants/ raves/ questions?

I think my doc must be one of the only who doesn’t do NIPT testing. She only does the maternity 21 or quad screen (quad screen is so unreliable so she leans way more towards the maternity 21) at 14 weeks and it makes me a little sad simply because it’s so exciting to find out the gender so early...it’s petty I know but I’m very impatient lol

5. GTKY: Do you have any siblings? If so, how many?

Yes one younger brother. I’m 25 and he is 22!

@lifeofboggs NIPT is just just general name for the non invasive genetic testing, I think. There are different brands like M21, Counsyl, etc. Ours just started offering it, they used to only so quad screen too. They don’t do NT testing/US in our practice on everyone either. I did the Counsyl testing but declined finding out the sex of this one. It was hard to say no haha

1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 10 weeks.  Size of a Ferrero Rocher

2. How are you feeling?  Feeling better this week.  Still get some bouts of nausea in the late afternoon/night.  Overall have more energy.

3. Any appointments this week?  I had my yearly on Monday so they just rolled my first prenatal appt into that.  Nothing exciting since I had the dating US two weeks ago.

4. Rants/ raves/ questions? Rave: I have a month off work and I've been taking 2-3 hour naps every day while he naps and it is glorious

5. GTKY: Do you have any siblings? If so, how many? I have an older sister and younger brother

@lifeofboggs  My office doesn't do the testing either. Has never even come up as an option.  During intake they ask some questions about family history and I am guessing those help figure out if more testing is recommended.

@cmjenkies I think my practice just does the testing later then everyone else’s it seems 
and that is a whole left of self control!!  Glad to know mine isn’t the only practice that doesn’t do the whole nt/us on everyone either!

2. How are you feeling? Still just super tired. Ready for some freakin energy. 

3. Any appointments this week? Nope. Next week. Also impatiently waiting for NIPT results.

5. GTKY: Do you have any siblings? If so, how many? I do not. I’m an only, a solid part of why we were wanting a second. Even if it wasn’t planned for right this minute.
