Hey, y'all! This is a check-in for those of us that are high risk. Whether you've known from the beginning or were just told, this a place to get some extra support. High Risk pregnancies bring an added level of stress and fear to an already stressful time, so use this as your safe space. It should go without saying, but I will, a lot of this thread thread will be TW, so there is no need to use them. We've either all been through this or are navigating together. So let's support each other as we navigate the craziness of a high risk pregnancy.
1. How far along are you? EDD?
2. Why are you high risk? How many weeks were you when you found out?
3. What is your protocol? I.E. extra monitoring, early delivery, etc.
4. How are you? Use this as your rant/rave/screw this whole situation post.
GTKY: What is your favorite movie? (I know it's a lame question this week, my bar in seems to be on hiatus)

I'm happy to be getting closer and closer to third trimester, sad to be going back to work next week, and I am so OVER the pregnancy induced acne. Best thing, though, is that this little girl has started moving and kicking like crazy. I love feeling all the movement.

I can never answer this question with just one! I have at least 1 favorite movie per genre, ha!

GTKY: What is your favorite movie? (I know it's a lame question this week, my bar in seems to be on hiatus)
i love so many movies it’s hard to pick a fav. the one that gets quoted the most in this household is “scott pilgrim vs. the world” so i’ll pick that one for now.
2. Why are you high risk? How many weeks were you when you found out? two previous pre term labors
3. What is your protocol? I.E. extra monitoring, early delivery, etc. extra monitoring, we are starting weekly appointments and dilation checks at 30 weeks... aka aug. 30.. I’m kind of starting to freak out.
4. How are you? Use this as your rant/rave/screw this whole situation post. back to above I am kind of starting to freak out. I am 28 days away from dilation check. They expressed If there is any softening we may do bed rest. This will get kind of long but I was kind of annoyed with one of my drs last week. I see a group of 4 drs. 3 guys, 1 girl and they have 2 female midwives in their practice whom I see if my scheduled dr is called into surgery or labor. Any way I always feel like the women take things more seriously and who are established our plan. I saw one of the guys last week who also happened to be who I saw through most of my last Pregnancy, and who also monitored me for most of my hospital bed rest. He didn’t admit or discharge but he was the one there for 85% of my stay. He completely didn’t remember my history at all, and said word for word “wow, we really should have pushed for you to get the shots” some of you will remember the struggle I had trying and finding out I couldn’t get them. He asked if we had a plan yet, I told him what we established at 20 weeks, he said he completely agreed and then told me to prepare for birth because with this being my third they don’t usually slow down. They stay similar or get faster.. all I could think leaving my appointment is wow. What if I haven’t been through this twice already, or never saw any of the girls and already mapped out a plan. That appointment would have sent me into full on freak out mode. Luckily I knew this was a possibility and I’ve been on restrictions since 20 weeks and we are prepared for the possability of bed rest soon but damn dude can you read a chart before you come in!!?? Any way though I am starting to freak out because THREE KIDS!!! and a toddler and a newborn.. my older was 9 when I had my second and a huge help so this will be my first time with two littles and I’m scared lol lol
GTKY: What is your favorite movie? (I know it's a lame question this week, my bar in seems to be on hiatus) I have so many but if I had to pick one it would be law abiding citizen. I just love that movie!

I'm actually doing pretty well. I'm feeling great, still getting to the gym about 5 days a week and I don't really feel like being pregnant is keeping me from doing much (although, it is allowing me to take more weekend naps). I have noticed my ankles are getting swollen by the end of the day, but I just take it as a sign that it's time to relax and put my feet up.
GTKY: What is your favorite movie?
It's a bit of a lesser known cult classic: Empire Records!

Terrified. In a nut shell. I have two other children both of which went overdue. Hitting 24 weeks makes me happier. I think it's just not knowing. Every time I go for an appointment at the hospital I am terrified I'll end up admitted I pack my bag and go scared sh&*less...
What is your favorite movie?
I honestly don't have one! I fall asleep most movies... Lol
