26 weeks, eggplant

Overall good.

Nope. I should start looking into covered chiropractors soon.

4. Rants/raves/questions?

Finally starting to look for maternity/newborn photographers since this this getting real. Nearing 3rd tri!!

5. GTKY:  A day late, but one can always dream - if you won the Mega Millions, what would you do with it?

Definitely our forever home.  Big car wtihout caring for gas prices.  Help out immediate family.  Invest in businesses.  SAHM with cleaning staff and cook.

28 weeks, eggplant. Third trimester today, woot!

2. How are you feeling?
Tired. Been waking up randomly at night. But otherwise, still doing well.

3. Any appointments this week?
Not anymore. Had to go in for a rhogam shot earlier this week. Should be clear for another two weeks now.

4. Rants/raves/questions?
DH and I have been working on the house relentlessly to get it baby ready and it's wearing us both out. Can't wait till we wrap up the projects and are able to veg a bit before we get to the end!

5. GTKY:  A day late, but one can always dream - if you won the Mega Millions, what would you do with it?
Hire a contractor to finish fixing our house! Pay off student loans and plan fabulous vacations

2. How are you feeling?

Pretty good, other than the heartburn.  

3. Any appointments this week?

I have a midwife appointment today, and then they start to be closer together.

4. Rants/raves/questions?

I was on vacation from work last week, and we had such a great time (explored the Olympic Peninsula). This week has been hard to get back into the swing of things, and a heat wave doesn't help. And then next week, I start a new role at work, plus have to train my replacement for my current role.

Buy or build a little cabin up in the mountains to use as a getaway, and then travel lots when this little one arrives

@tropical1982 I highly recommend seeing a chiropractor! Mine helps me so much, and I always feel so much better after a treatment

30 weeks! I disagree with the bump and baby center sizes. I’m going to say the size of a large ferret, since a book someone gave me said ferret at 28 weeks and a small duck at 32 weeks...anyway.

Some hip pain lately. Lots of overall pressure on my pelvis. Lots of kicks.

I’d buy a brownstone in Brooklyn and a cabin in the Catskills. I’d also fix up my parents place. I’d quit my job but take on a few immigration cases every year so I could provide high quality rep for free. I’d donate a shit ton of money to a few small NFPs that  have trouble getting funding because of the communities they serve (particularly prisoners rights, and reentry services) and I’d set up retirement and college funds and then take some awesome vactions

28, hello 3rd trimester (!?) Baby is an eggplant or a large coconut

2. How are you feeling?

Still feel good. Definitely feeling bigger by the week and this baby flipped yesterday so now she’s up in my ribs.  But I’m keeping up with my walking and my weight gain is on the lower side!

3. Any appointments this week?

Not until 30 weeks when the every 2 week fun starts!

4. Rants/raves/questions?

Built a giant to do list now that 3rd tri is here. It was overwhelming at first but I have broken it up into smaller chunks to get done each week. Still have time to get it done by my due date!

Make a nice college fund for our kid, pay of our house and everyone else’s, and then travel to all kinds of cool places!

Feeling good, though I’m starting to get nervous about the amount of things left to do and the whole childbirth thing. Eep.

General checkup with the midwifes today.

Just found out my aunt and cousin are flying in for my shower in August - awww

Travel. All the travel. I’d love to do a round the world trip. Then the usual things like invest, student loans, etc.

Good! No complaints

Yesterday I had my 3hr glucose test which I am happy to say I passed!! And a wax shortly after.

4. Rants/raves/questions?

I cant believe I'm at 30 weeks!? 10 weeks to go but realistically they told me to expect to go around 38 weeks which means it's only 8 weeks to go and we have NOTHING ready yet... the nursery is being built and hopefully gets painted this weekend if the walls are done then the floor goes in then we're at a standstill until my shower at the end of August.. I just want to nest dammit!

5. GTKY:  A day late, but one can always dream - if you won the Mega Millions, what would you do with it?

I always love this question. The first thing I would do is look into investing a large sum of it to keep money flowing in. Next I would pay off all our bills, and immediate family members would be taken care of too. DH and I would pick a spot on the map (probably in Virginia) and buy a house big enough for everyone to have their own rooms and a guest space, immaculate kitchen and yard space!! We would travel, do a family trip every year just the four of us and maybe a larger family trip every few years with my family then his. Donate to shelters, animals, veterans, homeless, pick a hospital every year to pay terminally ill kids medical bills so their families can focus on them and enjoying their time together. Pick a kid or two every year and pay off their college tuition.

There are so many things I'd love to be able to do if we were lucky enough to win the lottery!! But for now I'm lucky enough to be where I'm at in life so I'll take what I can get(:

30 weeks, appently my baby shrunk down to the size of a zucchini.

2. How are you feeling?

A lot of day to day variation. Sciatic pain is near crippling at times, but goes away overnight and I feel great again.

3. Any appointments this week?

I had my visit yesterday with the OBGYN. BP was good and belly measurement was within the expected range. Was a little shocked by my weight gain this time which I blame on my long weekend on Cape Cod eating good food for 4 days. Got my TDAP shot. i was Pretty uneventful, which is great!

4. Rants/raves/questions?

I sort of knew this, but now it’s been brought up, but anyone who comes in contact with the baby has to (or really should) be up to date on their TDAP. I feel a little pushy to bug my mom, MIL, and anyone else I know will be in contact with the baby before she gets vaccinated to call their doctor and confirm they’re up-to-date, but my baby’s safety comes first. Anyone have this conversation with your family/friends yet?

Buy everything off my registry so I know exactly what’s coming. I hate waiting!

@rabtaido1214 I’ve had that talk with my parents, and am expecting DH to do the same with his (but they also live across the country, so won’t be around as early or as much). I’m glad I did; my mom had hers, but for some reason my dad’s last shot was tetanus only, so he had to get his done again (which he did)

@halfanewt We ended up liking the less official parts best, largely because we had our dog and most of the trails we wanted to do didn’t allow dogs (I was really only up for short easy walks). We did go into the Hoh rainforest, and there were lots of spots to pull over and go for a bit of a walk in the forest before getting to the toll booth. There was a fair bit of construction, so when we went west from Port Angeles we stayed along the coast instead of taking the 101... there were a couple of cool spots near Twin, where you could access the beach from the road. The beach at La Push was also really cool. 

I think my biggest tip though - take lots of snack food! I found the food choices pretty limited in a lot of places, and if I didn’t have my snack cooler, we would have had many a ‘crazed and hangry pregnant woman’ moments

Thanks @Sailing_Mama! That is a good reminder - I always forget the snacks. 

Half the time I think the unofficial bits are better anyway. Sounds like you had a good trip
