When do the good ol stretch marks tend to start popping up... random depending on weight gain or?  Any products that have helped?

Ill take them but if theres something that reduces and is safe happy to try!
I didn't get my first stretch mark with dd1 until I was 36 weeks...however, with dd2 it was like overnight at 24 weeks I looked like a tiger.

@cass06_07 - totally normal to not find the HB regularly until later, especially depending on placental placement. They could keep looking and find it but they usually don’t want to worry you.

Is anyone else losing lot of hair? I'm only 9w5d but noticed a lot of hair fall since 5 weeks pregnant. I was expecting the opposite after hearing people tell hair grows faster and gets better in pregnancy
I lost SO much hair with both of my girls! Like chunks and chunks and it took my ob telling me it was normal for me to calm down about it. It was so crazy to me!

It usually slows down and stops about midway. Then you lose it all at 6 weeks PP and you will be convinced you are actually going bald.

How long have your babies stayed in their infant car seats? I was looking at growth curves today and it seems as though the average would be much later than I expected.
It'll depend on the height/weight maximums on your specific bucket seat. Once your baby hits either maximum you need to change seats. Convertible seats are obviously different. When in doubt read the manual. Dd1 was in her bucket seat until 9m and dd2 was a year.

I was researching all the things we will need and I have zero knowledge on baby stuff. Do we really need something called Mamaroo?
  • Options
No @hk0219, a regular baby swing or chair will be just dandy. Mamaroos are neat but not at all necessary. I know more than one person that shelled out the $$$ just to have their kid hate it.

That’s me  :) My son despised it. Good old Snug A Bunny Swing did the job!

@hk0219 - my kids both hated swings (we got a Rockaroo which is slightly cheaper with 1.0) and DS at least preferred a cheap vibrating seat we tried at a friends. That could have saved us like $170.

My kid hated swings too. We got like 4 hand me down swings and a hand me down mamaroo. He slept in the mamaroo when he was SUPER sick for one night (like he was in the ER he was so sick) but mostly was in the vibrating rock n play if he wasn’t in his bassinet or crib

Mine didn’t care for the swing but the cheap vibrating chair was a hit for both of us. That’s how I got a lot of pooping done  :D

@cass06_07 totally. I may be inventing this fact, but I feel like as the uterus start protruding out of the pelvis, things get hidden.

S+TMs - has anyone ever cleaned a pack n play? Ours has been stored in our garage for the past few months and it's really grossing me out. I feel like I can just soak it in super hot water and laundry detergent and then rinse it really well, right? The reason this all comes up now is because we're determined to repaint all our nursery furniture, so DS will be sleeping in the pack n play for a few nights until his crib has been repainted. I refuse to let this child sleep in a pack n play this dirty.

Yep. I would just use blue dawn in the bathtub. Then drain and soak in clean water. Repeat until clean then air dry.
