GTKY How many kids do you want?

I'd love 2. This maybe my 1st and only biological child. After IVF, this was out last embryo. I think I'd rather adopt the next round.

We were done with 2.  Life has decided we need 4.

I always wanted 4. Told my husband the night I met him I always wanted 4. 

He never wanted kids when younger and then was fine with having 1 or 2 and has come around quite easily to 3 and now 4. 

He used to want a vasectomy when when we were done, however when pregnant with number 3 he said he was unsure he could ever go through with it anymore.

I have also refused to give up my fertility until I am ready. So #4 was the plan and we tried a long almost 2 years for it with losses. 

We won’t plan for anymore and he’s welcome to a vasectomy after baby is 6 months. But if another comes along then so be it.

I thought this would be a good place to share this because I'm sitting here in the lobby of my Dr office waiting to be seen. There is a family here waiting. Mom and dad, mom looks like she's ready to deliver and they have all SIX of their other kids here too.  Two sets of twins and two others.  They all look to be under six years old too. I can't decide if I think she's crazy or if I'm jealous. Lol. I always pictured a big family with five children all close in age.

We've said 3, then it became 2 or 3. Now that I'm pregnant with #2 I think we really need that conversation of "is this our last" or not.
