@kerco925 I am in the exact same boat! I had terrible morning sickness from about 3.5 weeks until 6 weeks. I am 6+3 today and the morning sickness just stopped two days ago. I should be grateful for feeling better, but instead I am just sitting here worrying. For me the first trimester is just white knuckle until the first ultrasound.
@maggiemadeit With my first, the nausea came and went so often. I remember being really worried about it, but my doctor assured me that was normal.
I've been feeling really blah. I'm pretty tired all of the time, nausea comes in waves, and even when I'm hungry nothing sounds appealing. When I do eat, I feel sick after a few bites. Thankfully, I've only thrown up once.
@maggiemadeit today I made myself totally insane because it's my first day in a week and a half without nausea still other pregnancy symptoms but not as strong and this pregnancy is so different than with my son I have my first ultrasound in 10 days and I feel there is absolutely no hope of me calming down until that point
I am driving myself crazy, because I am comparing this pregnancy to my first and it's not the same. I know they say each pregnancy is different, but it's still messing with me.
**TW** When I had a CP two months ago, my symptoms stopped out of nowhere and I knew something was wrong. It's in the back of my mind all the time now.
Another one for symptoms coming and going. Also different from my first pregnancy. I swear I’ve never felt happier at the moments I want to/am barfing. My first appointment is Wednesday with an ultrasound sometime after that. I’m not going to feel okay until I see the heartbeat or until my symptoms stick.
Sorry if this is TMI but I have had diarrhea All day long today... it’s been awful. I’m still just as exhausted, trying to drink more water to stay hydrated. Ugh being pregnant is tough. We go for u/s on August 6th and I’ll be almost 10 wks! I feel like it’s so far away, but at least I will know for sure we will hear a heart beat & see growing baby. FX that everything will be a ok, it’s so hard not to stress about baby. My 1st pregnancy I only had one u/s at 20wks...but we heard the heartbeat at 8. So hoping the next couple weeks go by quickly!
The constant nausea. The food aversions. The waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to sleep. Blah. Thank goodness I still like coffee.
@purpleteacher82 I’ve been hoping for that. I should have asked the scheduling person. I wasn’t even expecting an appointment this early. With DD my first appointment wasn’t until around 10 weeks. I ended up getting to have an US at 8 due to some bleeding. This appointment was supposed to be at 8 weeks but that was the first week of school so they bumped it up and I will be only 7 weeks.
1st timer here! OB appt scheduled for Tues, but I'm guestimating a mid-March muffin! I'm currently 6 weeks...
The first couple of weeks have been a bit rough, so much cramping, sometimes I have to lay down for it to slow down. Not used to things slowing me down! Seems to have subsided yesterday and today. Phew!
Also, SO TIRED!!! But I don't even care... we are so excited to experience this blessing!
Ugh my allergies are full blown in the am. I wake up every morning and have to blow my nose a million times. Coffee is my life and lately the fact that it tastes gross makes me wanna cry. Random.... my best friend is pregnant a week ahead of me (they don't know) but she came over for dinner and was craving biscuits & gravy. So I made it and instantly had to go to the bathroom lol she was so excited to find something that tasted good and stayed down and I was in the bathroom crying because I'm so hungry lol. Itll be fun trying to keep this under wraps
Has anyone experienced an onset of asthma while being pregnant??? I live near Houston and we’ve had bad Saharan dust lately so I thought that was it, or maybe the 105 degree heat...? Every morning I take my dog and 2 year old son on a walk really early before it gets too hot (Anywhere from .5 miles to 1.5 miles). I’ve been doing this rain or shine for 4 years since we got my dog and I also workout 3-4 days a week lifting weights so I know it’s not because I am out of shape. In the last couple weeks I get so out of breath that I feel like I am hyperventilating. It almost hurts to breathe and I cannot settle down until I get inside to cool off. Once inside it gets better but it still feels like I am not getting a full breath when I breathe. I was diagnosed with intermittent asthma over 10 years ago when I was having bad allergies but it isn’t something that I have experienced since then and never took medicine for it. I just don’t know how to help the symptoms because I can’t see myself just stopping the walks. Any help or suggestions??? I’m miserable!
@AgGal2010 the dust probably isnt helping but I get out of breathe really easily too. I think that our bodies are pumping more blood so our hearts and lungs sometimes have trouble keeping up.
DD1: June '16 DD2: March ‘19 :::: Married since 2011 :::: USN Wife ::::
@AgGal2010 This is a super common pregnancy problem. Your blood volume is increasing rapidly at this stage, so your heart and lungs are working overtime. Your body should adjust and hopefully you will breathe better soon. In the meantime just take it easy and walk slowly. And mention this at your next appointment, just so your doc is aware.
Not too much nausea, mostly just breast tenderness & so much fatigue. I'm sleepy all the time!! That's hard to get used to, especially at work. I also have some minor cramping. Some back pain & frequent urination. The heightened sense of smell is also a bother since that is what causes most of my nausea. I can smell everything!! I also have lost weight (3 lbs). Has anyone else? I keep thinking its the increased metabolic rate because of baby since I'm not having morning sickness & not doing anything out of the norm. Normally I wouldn't complain but I just want to make sure its ok & normal.
@kb_momofboys What a good friend you are! Sorry you couldn't enjoy what you made for her though.
Nausea is on and off for me, so far I've had only one bad day of it, but it's early days yet (4 weeks 4 days). Just in the last couple of days my boobs have gotten sore and my nose is super sensitive. I was making a breakfast recipe this morning with honey in it, and the honey just smelled super wrong to me... Honey doesn't even go bad so wtf nose, haha.
I'm now eight weeks and no puking yet. My mom pointed out that that must mean the morning sickness is better than it was with my daughter. I hadn't thought about it, but I suppose so. I am getting to the point of a single dry heave and definitely feel like I'm going to puke, so ... is it really that much better? Idk. The puking started when I was right at six weeks with her.
Still so much gagging and nausea here. And I have an aversion to almost all food suddenly. And ugh the constipation has set in too. Send a wahhhmbulance
@maserrano714 , some weight fluctuation is normal and could just be fluid level variation due to time of day. I think it's great you're tracking it, but I wouldn't bat an eye over a 3 lb drop. My ob usually wants me to have a 25lb gain over the whole 9 months, but doesn't sweat over month to month gains (or up to 5 lb losses, unless attributable to illness)
Ugh, like a few pp I'm stressing because I had some morning sickness (nausea throughout the day, and tons of food aversions) which seems to have stopped at 7 weeks. All day yesterday I felt fine and this morning I've just woken up with no nausea either. It's stressing me out. With my previous pregnancy that resulted in my DD, I had tons of food aversions (to the point of dry heaving in the grocery store if I even saw certain foods) but no random nausea or morning sickness. My symptoms were consistent in the first trimester. I know each pregnancy is different, and I'm a bit comforted by the fact that I'm not alone in my symptoms subsiding, but I'm going to be so nervous until I can get in for an ultrasound. Speaking of which, my dr was supposed to schedule me for an early dating scan due to my previous loss and the fact that I got pregnant while taking fertility meds. I hadn't heard anything for 10 days so I called him on Friday and he forgot to send in the requisition. Ugh. So it may be a few weeks before they can get me in. If I don't hear anything in the next couple days, I'm going to schedule a reassurance scan at a private place near my work for $50. I can't wait too much longer to find out what's going on in there!
@AgGal2010 Asthma can get worse in pregnancy, you may not be able to wait until your next appointment if you continue to be symptomatic every day. It may have upgraded from intermittent to persistent. And you may not be sleeping well even though you don’t realize it. In order to stay active you may need daily controller medication. Take it from someone with a lifetime of asthma experience!!
