@BourbonBiscuits@allthingsgo@okayestmom12@grebretso@kayjay44, I guess it’s a case of “careful what you wish for” apparently the universe responds to my request for constipation with a blockage. Thank you all for thinking of me. I’m hoping they will discharge me by the weekend, although it’s soooo nice to not be puking and have relief from the nausea
@lifeislove87 If it helps, I know what you’re going through aside from being pregnant with all of that. I had an infected pocket in my colon burst in January and the crazy swelling caused a blockage. Not being able to poop or fart while barfing is no bueno.
Edit- Forgot to add that while feeling like poo, the rest is nice.
@lifeislove87 I was admitted for a lot of dd1's pregnancy. Once I got into the second tri they finally just prescribed me zofran to take daily, but that causes headaches and constipation. So they reminded me to take colace with it so I'm not even more uncomfortable! I hope you feel better soon!

@kayjay44 - YES! I remember taking Zofran w/o Colace with my DD and asking my DH to come into the bathroom and just end my life because I couldn’t poop. MISERY!
@madreofdragons I agree! Plus zofran sleeps nausea free are great. My 14 month old also still wakes up at night so I’ll take the uninterrupted sleep and naps. I actually don’t have a colon (have an ostomy) so in a way this is not new territory, although I do hate being a patient
@lifeislove87 How miserable, I'm so sorry! I hope you feel better soon.
@kayjay44 Even if it is a placebo, if it's a placebo that works that's good enough for me. The chia water that I was raving about last week has officially stopped working for me, so now I'm that jerk who raves about holistic remedies that do crap. I bought a squatapotty this morning.
The constipation is real for me too. I’ve been lucky up until a couple days ago, but now...
Weird question, but anyone else whose PGAL brain is interfering with their bowels? With my CP, before I knew the loss was certain I would have clotty bleeding when pooping which was terrifying, and that feeling lingers every time I have a strenuous bm now too. So if I can’t poop easily I just don’t even try, and now my stomach hurts. The rational part of me obviously knows I can’t poop out my baby (even writing that sentence is ridiculous), but I’m not very rational these days. Just let me poop in peace! Actually, just let me poop at all.

@grebretso I totally get that. I definitely don't try too hard for similar reasons, I'm pretty sure that's why I (luckily) don't get hemorrhoids often. I also hate that colon/poop pains feel very similar to period/MC cramps. I'm also terrified to see any blood and have to determine which hole it's coming from. Gross.
@grebretso I have the same fear every time I have a bm too bc when I had spotting that is always when I had the most of it. I haven’t had any spotting for months now and I still get nervous wiping every time.
My lower back is killing me. I was doing chores around the house while DD napped and I had to lay down because it was hurting so much. Scares me of course.
@notthecheat yah, still here. I think they plan on discharging me today, although I’ve vomited about 10 times this morning and can’t keep anything down (since they took out my IV) so I’m not sure if that plan is going to change. I miss being home and just want out of here
@danixbanani24 right ?? It’s been quite the annoyance! Especially when trying to stare at a computer and get any work done. Can I take a nap yet? Work won’t mind...
My previous waves of nausea turned into constant, everpresent nausea over the past few days. I’ve managed to not puke at work all week (yay!), but the never ending part of the nausea is really getting to me. I’m also going to spend most of the weekend in the car and I just can deal. I feel so gross.

Unisom in the evenings. I'd bring some in the car too because you're more likely to get car sick.
@babystrong2719 +1 for headaches. I’m currently prone on the couch trying to get over one. Blah.
@megpants209 I’ve had those same feelings! Weird, fo sho.
@grebretso Hope you feel better soon. My nausea on an airplane a couple weeks ago was horrific, so I’m going to try unisom this time (I’m back on a plane for work Monday morning).
I want to issue a soft TW here for anyone who hasn’t been able to eat/keep food down, hoping to not sound insensitive.... Is anyone else experiencing an almost rotten taste when they eat (insert almost any type of food)? I’ve had aversions, and it’s not that. I’ve read about a common metallic taste due to iron in prenatals and it’s not that either. But in the last week, we’ve thrown out/I’ve stopped eating an almost new jug of milk, half a watermelon, cheese, deli meat, orange juice, and just tonight an apple and pepperoni pizza (the cheese pizza tasted fine to me, pepperoni tasted fine to everyone else). I know I’m lucky to have an appetite and be able to keep food down, but wow is it taking the joy out of eating. Anyone else?
@catwoman8731 - not rotten, but I get sick of things quickly - I can only do things in small amounts and not that often because they just start tasting bad.
@catwoman8731 Yaaassss!! The other day I was eating a bowl over hamburger helper, the first half of the bowl was delicious, the second half tasted like sour milk. Several times I've asked DH to taste something, because it tasted bad to me, but it'll be fine to him. Sometimes rotten, sometimes too salty.. no rhyme or reason. Its awful!
