Appts this coming week? Seeing my OB this Wednesday, going to have my cervix checked to see if it is long enough. I had a LEEP done 2 years ago and had complications after so I am a little anxious about that.
How're you feeling this week? I am feeling ok, sleeping is becoming a bit of a challenge even with the pregnancy pillow. And my energy never returned yet, I keep waiting for second trimester energy boost but I guess it is not happening for me. Ohh, well....

Rants/Raves: baby started kicking two days ago so I get to enjoy little kickboxing sessions after almost every meal now. I kept waiting for tickling and/or butterfly wings feeling but I guess my LO decided to skip this stage all together and go straight to kicking.
GTKY: What kind of music are you into? Favorite genres/bands/singers/etc.? My music tastes are all over the place. I enjoy classical music when I work, old 2000s pop for workouts and rock for other activities. I also enjoy indy from time to time. I'm currently in search for good lullabies to sing to the baby so suggestions are welcome!

  • How far along?
19 weeks 2 days! Baby boy is the size of a mango

    Appts this coming week?
    Nothing til August.

    How're you feeling this week?
Legs cramps and round ligament pain - those are the biggies right now. I feel like RLP kicked up like 5 notches this weekend! Not so much the sharp pains from sudden movement; more so the dull growing pains.

    Rants/Raves:
I love wearing maternity clothes! Even though I can still wear some of my regular clothes (actually, I have to b/c I don't have much in the way of maternity clothes yet), I prefer to be in maternity clothes as much as possible! It has a little to do with comfort, but much more to do with just looking pregnant. I feel sooooo much better on days when my bump is clearly visible! I get so depressed when I wear regular clothes that seem to hide the bump. I feel like it shouldn't be so easy to hide b/c I'm almost half way (what?!?!), but it is! C'mon bump! Grow!

GTKY: What kind of music are you into? Favorite genres/bands/singers/etc.?
I like a lot of different sounds when it comes to music. I guess my go-to is usually popular music from anytime really (I love 80's power ballads!!!). I also like some alternative, a lot of rock, and I'm slowly getting in to country (mostly the newer stuff). My top 6 favorite groups/singers, in no particular order, are Journey, Christina Aguilera, Incubus, Bruno Mars, Usher, and Imagine Dragons.

    Appts this coming week?
No, just going in for bp check tomorrow

    How're you feeling this week?
Ok. Tired, itchy. Baby boy has stepped up his moving game and sits super low. My cervix takes a beating.

    Rants/Raves:

GTKY: What kind of music are you into? Favorite genres/bands/singers/etc.? I like all of it except for country. I listen to music based on my mood. Favorite musicians include Norah Jones, Imagine Dragons, Metallica, and several more.

@DecemberDoll27 I sing Can't Help Falling in Love to ds. It's been his song since he was born. I have to wrack my brain for a new song for this baby.
  • How far along?
    26 weeks

    Appts this coming week?
Yes, tomorrow along with an ultrasound I requested. I'm having a hard time differentiating the babies movements and can't really be 100% sure I'm feeling B or if it's all coming from A, so I'm a little worried.

    How're you feeling this week?
My morning sickness is returning, UGH. Also just starting to get really tired/physically exhausted all the time.

GTKY: What kind of music are you into? Favorite genres/bands/singers/etc.? Since I'm in Nashville, country is king and I do listen to a lot of it, but my favorites are really late 90's/early 2000's alternative/punk rock/pop.

  • Hey Guys! Bummed I missed last week's check in but with the short week at work, it was crazy!

    How far along? 19w3d
Appts this coming week? Had to move my appointment up from Thursday to tomorrow as I had to go to the ER on Friday for bleeding and spotting. The discharged me and put me on pelvic rest but said from what they could tell via the U/S that both babies were ok and had nice strong HBs. A little on edge but with the spotting slowing down is starting to ease my mind a little
How're you feeling this week? Overall, I feel pretty good which helped keep me from panicking when the bleeding started. I will feel much better if everything comes back ok when I go to the DR tomorrow.
Rants/Raves: Nothing major this week for ranting or raving
GTKY: What kind of music are you into? Favorite genres/bands/singers/etc.? I love a lot of different music and am usually able to vibe to just about anything!

  • @DecemberDoll27 Yey for baby kicks! How amazing!

@Dragonfly6191 Hope everything goes well with your US tomorrow! I can't even imagine how hard it is to tell whether it's one baby or the other who is doing the punching/kicking. I haven't even felt this one baby yet - but 2? And being able to tell them apart? lol!

@Joslynj11 Sorry you had a bleeding scare! I hope you get some peace of mind at your appointment tomorrow! I'm glad they were able to move it up for you!

    Appts this coming week? None

How're you feeling this week? I had a lot of hip pain again over the weekend so ordered a memory foam mattress topper, hopefully that will help a bit! Other than that, I cant sleep well and not just bc of getting comfortable. I just lay awake for a long time in the middle of the night. So, I am super tired and sleepy today and having hard time concentrating on work :/

Rants/Raves: I bought my son's first book! Super exciting. I'm having my husband read a short story every night while touching my belly to establish that connection between the two. I feel like its so much easier for moms and fathers feel left out and most of the times are disconnected from all as they cant feel what we feel physically and emotionally.

GTKY: What kind of music are you into? Favorite genres/bands/singers/etc.? I grew up in Turkey and these days I keep going back to 90s pop songs. I guess they remind me my teenage years. Plus those are the only songs I know  :D But in general, I like calming yoga/meditation songs. For some reason I grew older I dont like noise anymore lol

@Dragonfly1226 ahh that’s so stressful I hope they are both ok!!!

@ilky which foam mattress topper did you get? I’m thinking to get one as well. I have a hard mattress so I’ve been sleeping on my sofa lately. I finallly got pillow topper yesterday so that helped. But I think I need a foam mattress to go underneath.

    Appts this coming week?
nothing this week. But this week I’m supposed to get the amnio results from last week!!
    How're you feeling this week?
I’m feeling good. Only issues I have are the sleeping issues and GD struggles.
    Rants/Raves:
just anxious about the amnio results. And nervous about a possible brain issue. But I hope that 17w 5d was too early and that everything will look good at the AS in 1.5 weeks!

oh and yesterday I felt a kick with my hand on the belly. I know it’s early. But I’m pretty tiny. So maybe that’s why it was possible. (I’ve been feeling kicks for the last two weeks. But first time with my hand yesterday)
GTKY: What kind of music are you into? Favorite genres/bands/singers/etc.?
I’m a classic rock fan. Beatles, Stones, Pink Floyd, Kinks, zeppelin.. to name a few ;)

@prudence9-2 I ordered this but haven't received it yet, so dont know if it's any good , but it got very good reviews.  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GICXD6G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also, my midwife said you can feel baby movements way before the average time frame, if you are in tune with your body. I feel like most of us who went through IF are very sensitive to whats happening to our bodies and that's totally normal. It's very exciting to feel with your hand though  <3
  • @Ilky thanks! This is one of the foam mattresses that I was looking into getting as well! Let me know how it feels when you get it!

and I totally agree that after IVF we are way more in tune with our bodies!!!

  • Just a quick update after my US yesterday- both babies are fine and kicking away in there, it's just that Baby B has turned breech and is laying sideways, so what I was attributing to being all Baby A is actually a combo of Baby A's feet and Baby B's head. They are basically making like an L and a 7 on the right side so my ribs are taking a true beating :)

Both babies are a little small, but my Baby B is definitely slowing down a lot growth wise. So they'll start repeating my scans at least every 2 weeks to make sure we aren't getting into IUGR territory.

    1st cycle of IVF started April 9, 2017. ER- 15R, 7M, 5F, 4 frozen, 1 transferred. BFN

    May 2017- Hysteroscopy

June-August 2017- 2nd attempt via FET. 2 Embryos transferred on 08/10/17. BFP, but ended in a chemical.

    November 2017- Hysteroscopy

    January 2018- 3rd attempt via FET. 2 Embryos transferred on 01/25/18. BOLD BFP on a HPT on 1/31, Beta # 1 on 2/5= 721. Beta # 2 on 2/7- 1903. 6wk+3 day scan revealed twins!

    I'm blogging about it here

  • Joslynj11 Was your bleeding due to a hematoma? I bled at 18 weeks as well (also having twins). It was super scary but mine stopped really quickly. I've been battling a small SCH since the beginning of my pregnancy. It hasn't reared it's ugly head in about 8 weeks and hoping it stays that way!

@Dragonfly6191 good news that your babies are all well and kicking away. I hope Baby B will catch up soon in growth. It must be hard to have to share the limited space hence one of the twins (the ones I've seen) usually is smaller and petit than the other.
  • @Dragonfly6191 I am so glad that the US went well yesterday and that both babies are just moving away! Gosh the stress of twins is so unreal! Thanks for checking on me too, I was just about to bring an update!

AFM: Dr didn't seem too concerned about the bleeding right now. On the US she did notice that the placenta is a little bit low so she thinks that is where the bleeding is coming from. She put me on continued pelvic rest and I have my AS on Monday to follow up on my placenta. I had DH with me but I decided not to ask about the genders because I had already planned on trying to surprise him with the results next week. He is convinced it is going to be 2 more girls and that he will be in a house full of ladies  :D Me not so much, I am thinking one of each or 2 boys!! haha I am still spotting but I am trying not to stress too much about it. With my research I believe I have moderate placenta previa right now. She said there is still time for it to move and correct itself but if not then there will be a C section in our future!

@Joslynj11 I had placenta previa that was causing spotting and a little cramping at weeks 12-14. I had an ultrasound on week 17 and it had already moved. So, keep positive and I hope yours move very soon too!
  • @Ilky Thanks for some reassurement! I hope it moves up soon so we can possibly avoid a Csection. I know with twins it's still likely but fingers crossed over here! Oh and I am sure hubby would love for me to come off pelvic rest sooner rather than later  ;)
