Best advice: Every parent is just making it up as they go along. Worst advice: I can't think of a specific one, but probably some outdated piece of medical advice.

Best (from my therapist, when I confessed I thought I was going to be a horrible parent): the things you think you're doing that will mess up your kids won't impact them at all; they'll be scarred by something as insignificant as you forgetting to put a banana in their lunch for the first day of school.
Best: Don’t compare yourself to other moms or your kid to other kids.
Worst: When you’re super pregnant and people tell you to “stock up” on sleep before the baby comes as if you can hoard sleep hours and access them when you’re exhausted.
Best: Your baby is not giving you a rough time, they are going through a rough time. That helps me so much through the first several months...not so much with toddlers though lol.
Worst: I could probably write a book of these...short version is just ignorant comments and unsolicited advice regarding my daughter's physical and behavioral health problems.
11/2010 Diagnosed with PCOS
10/31/11 M/C at 9 weeks 1/12/13 DD was born 4/9/16 DS was born 9/17 CP 6/23/18 BFP EDD 3/4/19
Worst: Just put the baby on your chest, and they will find the nipple by themselves and start nursing -said by the pediatrician who saw us in the hospital (DD Was a terrible nurser that needed SO much help)
@novelblessings my DD is the same. We have heard so many suggestions since birth on how to make her sleep better and nothing worked. At 5.5 years she still does not sleep through the night.
My 2 year old son has been a great sleeper since about 1 year, so there is hope that not all siblings are like that!

Worst: Sleep when he baby sleeps is still the most annoying piece of advice I constantly hear.
Worst: Sleep when the baby sleeps.

worst: don’t hold your baby all the time you’ll spoil her.
Worst: (not really advice just more judgmental) you’re still nursing? You’re gonna screw him up.
