A bit TMI... I've started getting heat rashes where my chest and stomach meet up. I also found my first two stretch marks this morning, they were hiding under my belly. I've also noticed a pressure like sensation down below.
@smsaulino I keep finding myself tucking my shirt under my boobs so they don’t rub against my belly. Are you feeling any better since you started the reflux medicine?
@smsaulino YAY!! I am so glad you are feeling better. It made a huge difference in my sickness too. But I still have bad days (the last three days have seen lots of nausea).
@klj0228 you may want to ask your dr if the reason you're sick is possibly due to reflux. My dr prescribed a generic for Protonix. It's safe to take during pregnancy and nursing.
I’ve been getting Charlie horses like crazy. Always at night, and they are severe! The other night I woke up crying! I’m going to ask my doc about a calcium and magnesium supplement.
Otherwise, things are good and I’m just feeling real pregnant!
I've been eating more the past 2 weeks & the heartburn has been unreal. I've had half a gallon of ice cream since yesterday too cause I've been feeling stressed & emotional. Wish H could come home early from his training for work up in Wisconsin
I'm trying to not freak myself out so I'm moreso looking for a "is this normal" response. I've had a weird occasional cramping in my lower abdomen. It sometimes feels like a tugging, other times like a period cramp. I don't remember this last time, and it's not constant or throbbing by any means...just sometimes is there, sometimes isn't, and there appears to be no triggering action. LO is moving like normal, so I have just kind of brushed it off, but it's been 4-5 days now and I feel it every day at some point. I go to my next appointment Thursday so was hoping to hold off until then to bring it up, but should I call, or is this normal?
@nlc8424 not BH...I've had those pretty consistently this pregnancy. It's not all over tightness like BH, just pain in the lower middle of my bump. I don't think it's RLP, but that's what I'm trying to brush it off as. Is that something you can get this late in the game? I haven't tried timing...I'll try next time I feel it.
@Patience7150 I'm not sure if it could be round ligament pain or not, I would guess that if baby is growing/you're stretching it's possible but I can't say that with certainty. I would time it and see if there's any regularity to it. I'm guessing it's not regular enough, otherwise you would have called by now.
That's reassuring @BusinessWife, and thanks for the idea to time @nlc8424. I will time and if there's any regularity or any change between today and tomorrow, I'll definitely call, but otherwise will wait until Thursday. Thanks ladies!
@Patience7150 - I get the occasional pop or pain still sometimes when I move like @BusinessWife. I would think RLP is possible as long as things are still stretching and growing which our bellies will do until the end. +1 to the suggestion to watch for any regularity and without it I agree I think waiting until Thursday to mention it is probably fine.

@Patience7150 I agree that it can probably wait for Thursday unless it gets worse tonight/tomorrow. Could it be baby stretching weird? Need to pee? Sitting funny?
@smsaulino Another vote for putting something between boobs and belly. TMI I put deodorant under my boobs.
@adirat Can you take Zantac? I found my acid reflux made my nausea worse.
I finally figured out the difference between LO rolling around and BH. LO gets hiccups multiple times a day, not a symptom of mine but it's interesting to feel. I've suddenly been 1st trimester tired again. Midwife mentioned this in her list of signs your body is prepping for labor in the next couple of weeks. I'm hoping it's the heat and not prepping for labor quite yet.
Not really a symptom or a question but it feels related so I'll put it here anyway. The thought of being 30 weeks on Thursday has made me suddenly anxious about baby's positioning. I know baby is head down (or at least he was at my u/s on June 29) but I never thought to ask if he was posterior or not.
DS turned to the proper position (facing my spine) in time to push but since he was posterior (facing my belly, his spine towards my spine) for much of my labor it caused some serious back labor and he came out quite cone-headed. I'm really hoping to encourage proper position from the beginning this time but I can't figure out what way he's currently facing. I'm hoping the OB at my 30 week check-up tomorrow will be able to tell me.

@DanyTargaryen That's been on my mind, too! I keep trying to lean forward instead of reclining because my super brief skimming of Spinning Babies made me aware of how gravity might influence the baby's position... no idea which way she might be facing.

So, round ligament pain is still a thing. It went away for a while but this week it is totally back when I move suddenly.....soooo hoping it goes away again.
Also, powder is my friend....I love the summers eve powder.....I had a heat rash too and this took care of it within a couple of days.
I am starting to freak out a little about positioning. My dd was "sunnyside up" when I had her and I do NOT want to deal with thta again. At my last u/s he was also breech...but i am only 29 weeks so plenty of time for him to flip. I do know for certain I will not be attempting an ECV. Have seen too many of these done and....nope....not me....not happening.

Interesting! I haven't given much thought to this but that's a good idea. I'll have to check out Spinning Babies.
Oh my goodness, yes! I need to start looking at things that help get baby into proper alignment because...hell fucking no to another sunny side labor and delivery. Hell no.
I see you all share my serious dislike for sunny side up labor! I printed the info on posterior babies earlier and I’m currently writing this while on my hands and knees!

@DanyTargaryen Haha I've started doing similar poses. Partly to help with positioning and partly because it feels amazing on my hips. Fingers crossed there will be no sunny side up births for us!
I've had cramps in my low back and pelvis all day. Some BHs as well. TMI but no mucus plug so probably nothing to worry about, right? I had a really rough, hot work day so I'm a bit concerned I over did it. Although the back pains started before I even did any work.
@SkilledSailor - Honestly I don't think it would hurt to call to run it by your OB/MW. It very well could be because you over did it and some rest is all you need, but the appearance or lack-of a mucus plug doesn't actually mean much.

@DanyTargaryen Good call. I messaged them on the portal. They called back saying that it was actually something they consider urgent and very politely fussed at me for not calling sooner. So yup..otw to the birth center to make sure I’m not in preterm labor.
@SkilledSailor keep us updated please!! Although, not gonna lie my first thought was eh you over did it and probably need to hydrate. So obviously I know nothing and my instincts suck.
@klj0228@Lcardinal04@adirat@nlc8424 Thanks ladies! After being monitored they know I’m having frequent but irregular contractions so I’ve been sent home to rest, take magnesium, and some Benadryl. They took a vaginal swab to send to the lab. Apparently from that they’d be able to tell if preterm labor is probable in the near future or not.
@SkilledSailor glad you are okay, hopefully the swab comes back negative for probable preterm labor soon. Sounds like you are going to have to dial it back a little bit.
When my neighbor was pregnant with her girls (she is 75 now) the Dr told her to take a shot of brandy when she would have early contractions. If an hour later she was still having contractions she was supposed to take another shot and then go to the hospital if they were still going an hour after that. She said it always stopped them. Obviously not something Drs would tell you to do now, but just interesting how times have changed.
Glad you got checked out! @SkilledSailor I take it the magnesium is for the cramping, but why the benedryl? Did they say it would actually help stop false labour? Or basically just to help you rest?
Re: Weekly Symptoms and Questions 7/9
@adirat are you still feeling pretty good too?
and magnesium supplement.
Otherwise, things are good and I’m just feeling real pregnant!
I've been taking tums to deal with heartburn. It works okay.

But definitely mention it to your doctor on Thursday.
@smsaulino I am actually on Protonix too and it has helped with the nausea and vomiting, just sometimes I still get sick.
@skilledsailor I too have been exhausted. I am chalking it up to the heat.
