so this is my second round of clomid/ iui. We are technically unexplained and I ovulate on my own. My first round of clomid there were 3 mature follicles and the round still failed. This round, there is only 1 mature follicle. I’m wondering why Clomid didn’t make me produce more than 1 follicle again and also upset that I’ve now went through another month of this awful med without it doing anything I don’t do on my own. :-( has anyone had a similar experience?
Re: Mature follicles on clomid
I will say, it only takes one egg to make an embryo. I read once that many women who ovulate naturally will still go on clomid to get the eggs to be more mature and ready to go.
It can be hard to stay positive on this hard, and often, long journey. But it is still early days, absolutely anything can happen. That follicle could easily become the baby you’ve been praying for and dreaming about.
