I'm 42 years old and have a 15 year old daughter. long story short I'm engaged and we are trying for a baby. I had a missed abortion (hate that name) and a miscarriage recently. am I just too old?

    I'm sorry you're going through that.

    There's no hard and fast way to tell based on age; it only indicates higher chance of increased risk, but there's a lot of variation between individuals.

    Your best bet is to have a fertility specialist do a work up.
