I used this pregnancy as an excuse not to go to DH's family's thing for the 4th of July because "I'm just not ready to tell people" and if I don't have a beer people will know.  That's a lie, I just f$#king hate most of DH's extended family.

This is why I’m getting out of stuff with my extended family. Justified.

I wish I could use this excuse. I’m still trying to think of a way to get out of the big family thing coming up. I’m truly not ready to tell them, but I’m also just not looking forward to it. Lol.

I do NOT want to bring politics on here but lets just say I have drastically different political views than all of his family and it has caused me to look at them all differently.  Also, they just treat me like I don't even exist now so why would I want to spend any amount of time with them?

This is part of why we refuse to share names.  I don't want to hear anyone's bullshit reason why they don't like it. Just STFU people! Once the kid is here most people won't have the balls to shit on your name choice.  It's much easier when its a hypothetical.

DH told me on Wednesday that I'm in a bad mood all the time lately.  I am.  And IDGAF.  I will continue to be in a bad mood until I get my nanny situation squared away and I see a HB at my u/s next week.  So too bad, DH.  Deal with my bad mood.  Because I don't care.  

ETA: this is a confession because normally I'm more sensitive to DH when he complains about my mood since I tend to be much more abrasive than he is, and he takes it personally if I'm grumpy for no reason.  ::shrugs::

It comes from MIL who also has no boundaries. They had no problem telling me they thought our son’s name is stupid after he was born. 

We pick actual names for our kids - they may not be super common in the US, but they are legitimate names. Something about being pregnant makes them think they can say whatever they want - fine, enjoy the space I’m putting in between all of you and my family.

That's why I said "most" people.  There's always those extra assholes who can't keep their mouth shut.  Sorry they're in your family.  

My MIL basically threw a hissy fit because we had DS's name picked but but wouldn't share it. I enjoyed the torture!

Talking about wanting a beer in Randoms just reminded me. I was hung tf over the day I got my BFP.  I’d had a negative test two days before and didn’t have any symptoms yet. Plus we’d just decided to wait on trying anymore until next year.

@madreofdragons I was drinking a glass of wine when I got my BFP with my son and with this lil bug. Literally the only time I’ve ever poured wine down the drain. But then I got to tell my husband in a cute way when he got home from work by giving him the rest of the bottle

@madreofdragons This baby wasn’t planned. I found out about this kid right after we got back from a week long vacation at the beach. I spent most nights that week either drunk or close to it. Don’t feel bad. Haha

Similar situation here. Super long wonky cycle. I got pretty drunk the night before after a negative test and got a faint squinter the next morning.

I still have a half to a glass of wine about once a week. Actually the only restriction I’m strict on is toxoplasmosis (mostly because that’s the only one I haven’t done a lot of research on). And smoking but I’ve never been a smoker so I don’t really count that.

I drank a half a glass of wine here or there with DD, but can’t anymore due to a sulfite allergy. 

I did drink a beer two days before I went into true labor with DS at my MWs recommendation after 6+ weeks of pro frontal labor. 

ETA PRODROMAL. Auto-correct is not my friend today.

Yeah once I get through the first trimester I’ll have a glass of wine a month. I had 2 weeks of prodromal labor before being induced and my OB told me to have a glass of wine and calm the fuck down the night before my induction.
