I CANT LET MY SON CRY IT OUT

I don't care how somebody else raises their baby (unless it's borderline abusive) but personally I absolutely cannot let my son lay there and cry when I know I can go over & soothe him. Am I the only one?????? 
Even when my son is hysterical bc he's tired or gassy, I can't just put him down and walk away to leave him crying. So many ppl give advice to let them cry it out & im like wtf??????? Nooooooo mam not me & my baby lol
