If "you are what you eat" was true...I'd be one giant pancake. I've been craving restaurant style pancakes, like the ones from Perkins or IHOP. Of course, that would be quite unhealthy and expensive, so I found a copycat recipe that thankfully tastes JUST LIKE IHOP! And, surprisingly, they're not unhealthy so HELLO pancakes. I've made them about 3-4 times a week the last 2 weeks. They're spongy, melt-in-your-mouth, and absorb maple syrup perfectly. And they smell.so.good.
I've been craving bagels and pineapple. And ice cold water.
I'm having an aversion to chicken and ground beef, which doesn't surprise me because I practically became vegetarian while I was pregnant with ds.
The bagel cravings are so so strong. Starbucks carries these bantan bagels which I basically refer as bagel donut holes but filled w cream cheese. I had four of those bad boys today. Everything bantan bagels w veggie cream cheese.
Grilled cheese sandwiches. I actually had a slight hissy fit on my husband when he turned down the idea of grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch one day. By god, I WILL eat the grilled cheese sandwich!
oddly enough, Tuna salad. I have to limit the amount I eat since that's a high mercury fish but man it sounds good. Keep having to ask DH if I have already hit my ration this week or if I'm allowed another tuna salad sandwich/salad lol
Give me all the red sauce...today I made spaghetti and used vodka sauce, along with mixed in peas, corn, and kielbasa. I'll have anything that comes with red pasta sauce. I'll dip things in it even. So good.

OMG what is this bantan bagel you speak of?!!! That sounds amazing!!!!!
This picture is after you take a huge bite lol. Look at all that good cream cheese filling. They ooze out as you take the first bite if you bite the wrong side. Let’s iust say that two weeks in, I can tell which side to bite first to get all that oozing out into my mouth (LOL this sounds so bad).
This is my daily breakfast. It’s scrambled eggs with tomatoes and cheese on top of a bed of spinach. Finished off with some sliced avocado. Soo delicious!!
I’ve actually been craving salads, which is definitely welcome after all the absolute garbage I’ve been eating at all the parties and cookouts this week. Made a huge spring mix salad with sliced almonds, craisins, bleu cheese and a honey balsamic for lunch yesterday. Totally doing that again today.
@featherchicki that is so healthy! I can't bring myself to eat anything remotely healthy yet. I miss it. And I miss walking into my kitchen without dry heaving. I'm so jealous that you are able to cook and eat that, ha ha
@julesf817 your salad sounds amazing. I'm back to eating salads as well, so grateful for this after weeks of too many carbs. I've also been into Greek yogurt and lots of fresh fruit.
I'm craving all the baked goods and ice cream! I try not to cave to every craving so try to stock my fridge with tons of fresh fruit to eat instead. I'm loving mixing yogurt with fresh peaches- it does the trick for my sweet tooth and ice cream cravings!
I went to the store intending to buy one last thing I needed to make a pasta dish tonight, and ended up coming home with all the stuff for tacos, which is what we had tonight instead.
We’ve been on vacation this week so I have been eating a lot of crap—French fries, ice cream, pizza (one night was mushroom and spinach, another was the most incredible pineapple, bacon, and jalapeño!), lobster rolls.
Tomorrow when I get home I am going grocery shopping to buy some healthier stuff for the upcoming week. My aversions are starting to flare up less frequently now so fingers crossed I can actually make it happen!
Cheeseburgers and Thai food are my must-haves this time around. DS1 was pretty much grown on milkshakes and bagels. DS2&3 were any combo of carbs and cheese.
but this morning all I can think about is how much I NEED an apple fritter.
I just ate the first “meal” that made me pause and ask what the hell I was thinking. DH made chicken for dinner but that didn’t sound good to me. An hour or so later I walked into the kitchen and walked out with a bowl of rice and a can of peaches. WTF.
I can’t stop eating Thai food and bagels. I had drunken noodles twice this week — extra spicy. How much can this baby take?! The spice level is OOC. On the flip side, give me all the bagels w extra cream cheese!! At least they somewhat balance each other out?? Breakfast: Bagels Lunch & dinner: Thai food. We have a problem lol
ETA: Concerned about $$, DH genuinely brought up this idea of learning how to make pad thai and drunken noodles at home. He goes “um, these are $10 each and you can’t keep this up getting take out 3x a week.” I guess I see his point.
@AliKay20 oh man I love drunken noodles! I just feel like I could never really make thai food at home and have it come out good enough. I also feel like the price of the ingredients would basically equal a takeout meal.

I made a big pan of macaroni and cheese last night for dinner and I’m currently trying to convince myself that I shouldn’t have a huge helping of the leftovers for breakfast.

@AliKay20 Bagels and Thai food are all I ever want to eat too. It's not a drunken noodle recipe, but this recipe will usually satisfy my spicy noodle craving and it's super quicky and easy and uses ingredients i basically always have on hand (sometimes I literally just use the noodles from the ramen packets instead of buying lo mein noodles though) https://www.budgetbytes.com/spicy-noodles/
