I’ve had really good luck with maternity shorts from Walmart. They don’t sag and weren’t expensive ($11.99). I also bought a really cute pair of maternity skinny jeans from Walmart. I ordered online since I refuse to step foot in Walmart. It’s always gross. I’m really disappointed in Target’s selection. Their clothes are expensive now and since I plan on this being my last kiddo, I didn’t want to spend a lot on maternity clothes. When I was pregnant with DS, I found some really cute maternity clothes at Target including a dress I wore when I wasn’t pregnant. I really miss the Merona and Mossimo brands.
@CoastieGirl79 Same problem. I gave in and went to WalMart where I learned... They no longer carry maternity clothes in-store. In the end, Motherhood Maternity it was.
@leighbrek I found a children's consignment store, within a reasonable driving distance from me, that has a small selection of maternity clothes. I bought two pair of pants and one dress for under $20. Outside of that, I think I will complete my wardrobe with Motherhood Maternity.
Alright you guys, what would you do if there are reasons to believe someone actually stole a power washer from your backyard? Do I even report it to police by calling their non-emergency number? Our neighborhood is fairly safe but I guess these things can happen anywhere. We’re surprised that someone would check out our yard and take a freaking power washer. We have pretty intense security system for when someone trespasses in our house but we didn’t install any outdoor surveillance cams (yet). We’re about to check out the Ring and Nest deals at Costco this week. Wth!! People suck.
@AliKay20 That's a tough one. The odds of them making any kind of effort to actually find the power washer are pretty slim. Probably the most that will happen is they might increase their rounds in the neighborhood? Which could be a good or a bad thing depending on perspective. I probably wouldn't call the police, but I could see the argument either way. That sucks though! It's such a violation.
@AliKay20 many cities let you file a report online as long as the theft was under a certain dollar threshold. Check to see if yours is one of them! Also - sorry this happened to you.

I know! When DH told me about it, DD and I were lounging in our inflatable pool. I immediately wanted to go inside. It was such a buzzkill bc now I’m thinking about all my neighbors and who may have done something like this. It really could have been anyone lurking the streets not from here.
Not sure if randoms is the best thread for this but wasn't gonna risk a public lashing by asking elsewhere lol Milk snob cover. Who's had one/used one /loved it /hated it . We saw the shark tank episode and now I want one. DH is ready to order one now but I need IRL reviews first lol
Found a decent mocktail. A little sweet for me. I need to find some N/A beer.
Cool! I bought Fre, de-alcoholed wine. It is ok, but also a little sweet because for some reason they add grape juice in after taking alcohol out. Dumb!
It’s raining here so no bbq or fireworks tonight . I ate a giant cheeseburger for dinner and now I feel sick, like I ate too much (seriously do not know how I haven’t gained weight, yet). I’m just glad I don’t have a sweet tooth this time around.
Okay, so I’m almost certain that I’m having a boy this time. Why? Mainly because I have terrible b.o. I did NOT deal with that when I was pregnant with my daughter! I have to shower twice a day now, it’s crazy! It doesn’t even smell like MY b.o. haha.

I had one. Loved it as a nursing cover. It was way better for me than trying to use a blanket or one of those awful-looking apron covers. I rarely used it as a car seat cover, but that’s probably only because I didn’t often want/need a cover on the car seat.

It sounds like WWIII around my house. My son calls fireworks "boom pows." This is the first years he's been scared by them. I'm usually a fan of fireworks but this year not so much. It makes me think of our vets and how unnerving this must be for them. Then I think of the children who live in war zones and hear this on a regular basis. Breaks my heart. Sorry to be debbie downer.
So I went shopping at motherhood maternity today and was disappointed with their selection of work-appropriate tops. They had a lot of t-shirts and tank tops but I can’t wear those to work. And we haven’t told my client yet (working thru some heated issues) so I can’t wear “fitted” shirts that may show my pudge/bloat/“is she maybe pregnant” belly yet.
We did buy a snoogle... I am interested to see if it helps side-sleeping more comfortable for me.

I had one with my son and loved it. I tried a few other nursing covers and this one was by far the most comfy and easy to keep things covered. It’s also nice and thin so when it gets hot it’s pretty breathable. I plan to get a new one in a cute girl pattern for this baby! Def worth the money. I plan to wait until Black Friday or some sort of sale pops up because I love getting a discount lol
@AliKay20, that really sucks! How much does a power washer cost? I would probably report it and post it on my neighborhood listserv.
$300. I asked a local mom group too and they said to report it still even though it’s non emergency so they’re aware of trends and increase their presence in the neighborhood if necessary.
molosmiles I bought two pairs of black maternity pants for works at week 8 and love them. I didn't have any good regular ones and figured I'd grow in to them. For now, I tuck the top in to the bottom of my bra and they stay up well.
galactickates the comparisons are bonkers! One day its a lime, then its something flat, then the next week somewhere else its a lime, then its a plum, which I swear isn't bigger than a lime. DH has asked me to stop telling him cause he's so confused.
@karaszoo1 I haven’t tried the Milk Snob covets, but I had a couple from Covered Goods that I loved with DD2. So much easy than trying to keep everything covered. I also never used it as a car seat cover, because we live in So Cal and didn’t need it. But I did use it for the shopping cart and it’s a lifesaver.
So I'm going out with my mom for dinner tonight. She doesn't know I'm pregnant. She wanted to go for sushi but I talked her into Indian. I am currently at my desk dreaming about the lamb vindaloo I'm going to order but I'd be lying if I didn't say I was concerned about what the spice is going to do to my guts later. Methinks the pipes will get a good cleaning....but it will be worth it lol!!!

I start out every pregnancy saying “I’m going to stay in my regular clothes as long as possible.”
By about 9 weeks, I’m like “I hate all non-maternity pants; they make my want to scream and rip them off,” and I switch to maternity pants.
Then at some point in the pregnancy (earlier every time) I decide I hate all clothes and wonder where we could move where it would be acceptable to just be nude all the time.
I think I’m in trouble because I’m already starting to feel that way. Partly because it is so. Dang. Hot.
@libertymomrn I’m at 13+1 today and so far haven’t switched over. I’ve only gained 3 pounds but my pants are starting to feel so uncomfortable. I bought some jeans at a consignment store this weekend and I may break them out tomorrow. I don’t know if I can deal with this much longer!
@mrsmang Don't deal with it at all. Take the leap. I switched to stretchy skirts, maternity shorts, and I use belly bands with my pants. I have a very small frame, but I have zero interest in being uncomfortable for no real reason. Don't suffer - there's no reason when the solution is super easy!
@leighbrek yeah, I’ve come to that conclusion. I have belly bands but I found that even on the smallest one they were too big and made my pants fall off when I stood, even though sitting was so much better. I think I’m just going to go straight to maternity pants or dresses for now.
My favorite pair of maternity jeans last time were from Loft. they were cute and never sagged, and i wore them a lot. They have really nice maternity clothes. Downside is they don’t carry in store. I need to get new maternity stuff this time around. Last time i was working in a snooty office. Now I’m either doing Mom stuff or have dogs drooling on me.
@julesf817, how did I not know about Loft maternity clothes?! That's my favorite store and where I buy all of my work clothes, but I never thought to check for maternity clothes. I hate motherhood maternity. Saggy crotches and crappy material.

We found a place! This lady is completely unfazed by our family size, which is awesome. So we’re moving on Saturday. I should start packing....
Downside, I’ll now be 4.5 hours away from my dr. The plan right now is to move back to my house here in December and stay until baby is born. We’re only taking what we need to the new place, and we have enough stuff to furnish two homes, so it’ll be easy to do. Kid and school wise, though, might be a pain.
I’m just so happy we found a place. I’ve been raising kids alone for four years and I can’t wait to be able to share the responsibilities again.
My midwife was taking my blood pressure and was leaning super close to me. I had to burp SO badly, but I didn't want to burp in her face so I held it until I mostly stopped breathing. The second she stepped back I had to let it out. Omg felt so good, but it was so bad.

They are only online, so i don’t even know how I found them myself! They are kinda pricey but they have lots of sales, which you prob already know if you love their stuff!
@libertymomrn omg same. As soon as I get home from work in the evenings I strip down to my birthday suit and only bother to even put a robe on if the neighbors have their blinds open. no shame.
I got a job! I’ll be working as a tutor at a local tutoring center. The hours are in the afternoon and evening during the school year so we won’t have to pay for daycare. It’s part time but I’m going back to what I love doing. I absolutely loved teaching intervention before I went full time in the classroom.

There was another one earlier this week that compared baby's size to a lemon AND a daisy... explain to me how that is possible!
These have little ruffles at the sides and are cropped. https://www.motherhood.com/secret-fit-belly-rayon-straight-leg-maternity-crop-pants/006-93511-000-001.html?cgid=clothing-pants&dwvar_006-93511-000-001_color=006-93511-01

That, or I've really been missing out on giant, lemon-sized potstickers....
11 weeks - size of a LIME (thanks TB)
