Baby weight

Went in for an ultrasound at 27 weeks... The doctors told me my baby boy is 2 lbs and 1 oz. In my head I'm thinking this means he will be a big baby but many moms on communities said that their doctors were concerned that their baby was too small. Is this considered a small weight for a 27 week old fetus?

This would be an excellent question for the Symptoms and Questions thread. 
I don’t know what’s considered a good weight for 27weeks, but I do know that weight estimates based on ultrasounds are notoriously inaccurate. Was your doctor concerned one way or the other?
