Ticker change simply means that you have started a new week of pregnancy. For example, I go from 25 weeks to 26 weeks on Wednesday 6/27, so my “ticker” changes on Wednesdays. It is our way of marking a milestone.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
2. How are you feeling?
3. Any appointments this week?
4. Rants/raves/questions?
5. GTKY: If you could guarantee one aspect of your pregnancy or labor/delivery experience, what would it be? (For arguments’ sake, assume that whatever choice you make will result in a healthy baby/healthy mom, because I am pretty sure healthy baby/ healthy mom would the guarantee for all of us.)
Re: Wednesday Ticker Change (week of 6/27)
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
26 weeks; my little rapscallion is the size of a scallion
2. How are you feeling?
Better than earlier this week. I’ve gotten some sleep, feel better about the work in my bathroom, and am looking forward to visiting my family next week.
3. Any appointments this week?
My parents and I are doing an elective ultrasound on Monday; after the AS, I realized that I really wanted my Mom to be able to experience one because that was just too cool.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Mostly, I just wish I could stop feeling overwhelmed by everything. I know it is the hormones, and there is plenty of time to get everything done, but still...
Also, I’m not sure why, but I’m not getting enough water the last 3-4 days. It isn’t a conscious thing, but I’m definitely struggling to get to my goals.
5. GTKY: If you could guarantee one aspect of your pregnancy or labor/delivery experience, what would it be?
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
26 week, size of kale
2. How are you feeling?
A little more tired, but otherwise feeling pretty good.
3. Any appointments this week?
Routine appt with my OB-GYN tomorrow.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Can’t stand that I don’t get to see my baby at all between my AS (18 weeks) and delivery. That’s causing me anxiety. What if she comes out and has some visible problem they could have noticed on an US when she was a little more developed. It wouldn’t change anything, I realize, but I hate the unknown. I think this stems from the choroid plexus cyst they noticed at the AS. The doctor didn’t see any other markers for trisomy 18 so the chances of it being that (along with normal screening blood work) is tiny, but she of course told me all about trisomy 18 and nearly caused me to go into a full panic.

Not being in labor for a god aweful long time, and for my husband to not turn into the patient by fainting or something!
26 weeks. Kale I guess? That’s a weird one.
2. How are you feeling?
Tired. Bigger. Definitely overwhelmed. I feel like there is a lot to do but I can’t even stop and think through what all needs to be done.
3. Any appointments this week?
1hr test tomorrow.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
I can’t decide if I want this experience to speed up or slow down.
5. GTKY: If you could guarantee one aspect of your pregnancy or labor/delivery experience, what would it be?
A quick unmedicated timely delivery.

2. How are you feeling?
tired, exhausted, huge, overwhelmed.
3. Any appointments this week?

4. Rants/raves/questions?
Im just really exhausted and feel overwhelmed with everything to be done. We are back form vacation and now it's like we have so much to do before baby arrives but we also have plans most weekends so I don't know when anything will get done. Also my daughter who will be three in august, the last two nights she has just been awful, not listening, talking back, crying. Im sure its my hormones but Im not handling the toddler-tude very well right now.
5. GTKY: If you could guarantee one aspect of your pregnancy or labor/delivery experience, what would it be?
The date or timeframe in which baby would arrive. @knottieamusements I stress about when I have to return back to work too. I just hope the timing all works out and I don't have to go back right before Christmas.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
26 - fancy French soda
2. How are you feeling?
Starting to feel more tired again. Hoping the 2nd tri energy will stick it out a little longer...
3. Any appointments this week? Nope
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Haven’t really started a registry yet. The research makes it feel real, I guess. However, my local buy nothing has been awesome! I’ve scored a free pack ‘n play, play mat, and crib so far! Just heard about the crib - will need to pick it up today or tomorrow. This counts as preparing, right?

@rabtaido1214 it does feel like such a long way to go between the AS and actually seeing baby. Keeping FX everything works out for you!
@rc-cola good luck tomorrow!
@drb2424 +1 to the feeling overwhelmed. Somehow the list keeps getting longer, not shorter... how long is your leave?

24 weeks, a large eggplant.
2. How are you feeling?
I have no complaints.
3. Any appointments this week?

4. Rants/raves/questions?
Just plugging away at my to do lists. Our summer is filling up fast and I’m trying to plan a weekend getaway with DH before the baby comes. Moving this to the top of the list so it gets done!
5. GTKY: If you could guarantee one aspect of your pregnancy or labor/delivery experience, what would it be?
Quick, un-medicated delivery. Really I just do not want a labor horror story!
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
25 - size of a cauliflower
2. How are you feeling? Pretty good, although heartburn and sleep are both bothering me a bit
3. Any appointments this week? Just at the lab now for my GD screening
4. Rants/raves/questions? DH has been gone for work for a month (rant), but I did get to go meet up with him in NYC the other week (rave)... and he should be home early next week!
I think being able to go med/intervention free

26 weeks, zucchini?
2. How are you feeling?
Okay, acid reflux was kicking my ass last night.
3. Any appointments this week?
Nope
4. Rants/raves/questions?
I'm just starting to feel stressed more often, one baby is exciting and nerve wracking alone but two?! There's so much to buy and set up and do...
DH and I want to go on a little trip and we cant seem to figure out what or where, it can't be too far because itll be a 3 or 4 day weekend and has to be relatively cheap. I want him to have as much vacation time built up for when the babies do come he can be with me. Things he'd like to do I can't bring pregnant and things I suggest sound boring to him.. we probably won't end up doing anything..
5. GTKY: If you could guarantee one aspect of your pregnancy or labor/delivery experience, what would it be?
On time vaginal delivery for both babies
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
23 weeks - coconut maybe? Maybe that was last week... I just realized it’s Wednesday and it’s 9pm, so yeah.
2. How are you feeling?
Heartburn sucks.
3. Any appointments this week?
Next week
4. Rants/raves/questions?
My sister is a B. Also I have been extra stabby lately. Not sure if it’s just because I’ve been doing a lot since preschool graduation so I’m just extra tired or it’s hormones or I’m just kind of an A-hole lately.
Easy, relatively quick delivery without any complications (including tearing).
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
22 weeks, coconut
2. How are you feeling?
Mostly good. Kicks all the time which is an awesome feeling and I'm finally getting used to it again. I wish I could bottle up that feeling since this will be the last baby in my womb it's a bit bittersweet to think about.
3. Any appointments this week?
Nope.
4. Rants/raves/questions?
Rant - Read my insurance thread lol.
Took my 5&4 year olds to watch Incredibles 2 yesterday and when they both jumped into my lap because they were scared I was pleased to know they are still babies!!! It had been a y ear since the movies so it might be a while before we do it again.

Make it to the hospital in time! I feel like this kid is lying so low when L&D comes he's just going to slip right out and this time we are a good 30+ minutes from the hospital and praying it doesn't happen during rush hour. We've had plenty of time with previous pregnancies, but I don't want to risk it! If I can have the med-free quick labor I had before with awesome recovery that would be excellent!
