Any advice on what I could do?

I need advice im going on unpaid maternity leave in September . My job doesnt cover me for short term disability because it was considered a pre existing condition. What is some advice you ladies could give me . Im a single mom with a two year old and really need income while I’m off.

I'm in a similar position so I researched this a bit. Nothing I can do because of where I live, but you could look into unemployment - some states will accept giving birth and recovery as a reason for temporary unemployment.
