36 weeks and a papaya- had another growth scan this week and baby is 6lbs 11oz.... so huge!

I’d say still exhausted, feel like I have to pee every two minutes. Baby is sitting so low now, that I’m feeling like I’ll have to catch him at any time. Lol
also so I am not sleeping well at all, and my back has been killing me. I’ve just been relaxing as soon as I get home and that’s been helping.
Appointments/US this week
Had a BPP test and a regular check up.
At the BPP test they told me my fluid is still low.
At my regular check up we discussed that, my doctor said the range is 6-25, mine was 9.0 so completely normal- just in the lower range of normal. She said they don’t get concerned or induce unless the level is 5 or lower. So I’ve been worrying for nothing. Anyway, she encouraged me to just drink a crazy amount of water (which I already do) but I’ll try to drink even more if that will help LO. They check again on Tuesday so fx my fluid stays good!

My DH has been so helpful, picking up all the things I can’t seem to get done, he understands that doing a lot of things is getting harder and harder for me. He’s being patient and kind and it makes me sappy love him even more lol.

My plan ideally is to listen to my Whitney Houston play list, have some essential stress releasing oils in the air, and positive vibes the whole time. As far as pain meds, I’m playing it by ear since it’s my first time, but I am not opposed to an epidural. My doc won’t induce until 41 weeks 6 days so I’m not worried about them pushing for induction. Ideally I’d like to have a VB but if it’s a c-section that’s okay too. My mom has 4 I’d them and she did just fine. But I know all of this could go out the window then the time comes. We shall see, Fx we all get some of what we want!!
How far along/How big is baby? 34 weeks! Bag of potato chips/baseball glove (DH informs me there are many diff types so he rejects this), and Tim the minion, Butternut squash, I think?
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms: Can't sleep, hips hurt so I flop around a lot, vagina pain and pressure that kind of feels like I got kicked directly in the pubic bone, but then also the lightning crotch sensations.
Appointments/US this week: Went to see a social worker at the hospital today. Not sure if I'll go back, DS was a mess and I'd likely have to bring him with me every time until he started preschool. Next midwife appt isn't til the 29th!

Rants/Raves: This babe will not be in one position right now! I'll swear he's head down because I'll feel hiccups in my butt and vagina and then the next thing you know all the big movements are down below and I'm like WHAT DID YOU DO BUDDY?! Get back down there!
Do you have a birth plan? If so, share it here. How "married" are you to this plan? My plan, until a breech baby, was avoid a c-section and everyone comes out alive. BUT, since I have a breech baby, its now just everyone comes out alive, lol. IF baby flips I just want to be allowed to go to 42 weeks, which the docs said is probably fine as long as I'm monitored and everything is ok, pitocin as my last resort induction method after everything else, and I'm gonna try my best with the whole, "golden hour" thing, although I'm a baby with the stitching after and the ute massage. If baby is transverse, and not breech, I'm gonna see if they'll agree to allow me to keep going past my due date somewhat, hope I'll dilate, and see if they'll agree to break my water slowly and see if he turns down on his own before c-section. I have a friend who did that with her transverse babe, although she was at a birth center. I'm pretty married to no drugs at all (besides induction) because it has served me well in the past, but if I go into labor on my own I don't know if it will be short like my induced births or not so I will feel no guilt in asking for the epi if its long and I'm having trouble.

Trying to will this LO into staying put until at least Sunday night.. But at the same time, 3 days of false labor sounds like hell. But it’s getting real now, and I’m SO not ready.

I’d love a birth like my last, my water broke in the middle of the night, I had a few hours of increasingly painful contractions and showed up at the hospital 9cm. Ideally, I’d like this to happen again, but I’m worried it will happen even faster with this being my second, and that’ll cause problems finding someone to watch DS last minute.
I’m not against epi or any pain management, but because I’ve already done it once med free I feel obligated to at least try again this time. Time will tell!

Had a regaulr appt this week. Nothing has really changed. A loose 2 cm. 50%. -3. (The only change from my last check is 1 more cm dilated).

i am done being pregnant. But I have a feeling this lo will take her time coming out like her older sister. (DS came 2 weeks early, DD1 was induced at 40+4 due to no dilation, dropping, etc.)

My birth plan is everyone alive! MFM wants to induce me at 39 weeks. I've been trying to push back bc the only "reason" is small growth. I'm not even under 10%, so I don't see the reason. OB agrees with me, but also has a problem going "against" a specialist's recommendation. So I guess we'll see at my next growth scan. I don't really want to have pitocin bc I didn't like it that much last time. So I guess fx she comes on her own before 39 weeks. I am all for the epidural, but I also have a very low pain tolerance threshold. I tried so hard with my second to forgo it. Nope. About 2-3 hours on the pitocin, I was crying to MH to get me the anesthesiologist.
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms newest one is feeling like my period is about to start. Sorry if that's TMI, but its the newest. Still have the backaches, insomnia, heartburn and indigestion on and the swelling has started.
Appointments/US this week ultrasound Monday showed baby girl is measuring at 6 lbs 5 oz. Ill take it. OB on Tuesday GBS positive, which I figured. and second NST today here's hoping she cooperates and doesn't get us sent to Triage again...

Rants/Raves Rave DS was helping me stuff the diapers yesterday then picked up his stuffed mickey and was patting it and rocking it and telling it that everything was going to be ok. I think hes ready to be a big brother.

This time we are a planned C-section so I don't think much will change.

A little crampy and LO has been kicking the crap out of me so H doesn't think it's safe for me to drive anymore because it's painful and distracting.
Yesterday, all looked good. My clinic doesn't do a cervix check until week 40, they will offer at 39 if you want one but I'm thinking I'll pass on that. Just seems like watching the kettle boil to me and knowing how ready or not things are down there will just make me a crazy person.

My desk upstairs isn't comfortable for me to sit at anymore because I can't put my feet up or lean back enough when LO starts his tornado kick thing in there so H made me a workstation downstairs. A little annoying not to be at my desk, but I'm so much more comfortable downstairs, but it's closer to the fridge, so....

I had one this morning! GBS swab, cervix check (she just said I'm still closed), blood draw, and urine check. Blood pressure is good and no protein so we are just watching the swelling but no major concerns - I did get a note to work a few days a week from home so that will start next week!

I'm just glad there are no concerns with my swelling (except for being uncomfortable). I'm heading 3 hours away this weekend for a wedding so glad I didn't have to cancel!

I chatted with my PA today about it and basically my plan is to not have a plan. Lol. I know I don't want IV pain meds, but I am open to an epidural. I just want to play it by ear. I would also prefer not to be induced, but that hasn't been brought up. And TBH if I hit my due date I will be open to induction, just not before. My PA said the hospital is really good about golden hour and honoring my wishes in general so she just said communication with my nurse is key.

Swollen feet and ankles for the first time this pregnancy! And real BH I could feel without my hands started last night. I didn't even do much yesterday.
Appointments/US this week
next tuesday is my 36 week appt. GBS swab and first cervix check. I have not had any mucous plug escaping so I am not expecting much if any dilation.

somehow, DH and I are now BOTH applying to new jobs this month. So many changes!! Also, my boss was asking about how I was preparing for baby and he asked if I have a registry to which I said yes, but it's for me to keep track of the things I want to make sure I get. Then he asked for it so he can share it with out dept! I was like...okay! And now I have to make sure it is suitable for sharing before handing it over.
