Suddenly in the last few days my belly has gone from looking all over big to jutting out large. My chiropractor even mentioned it today. We think he must have had a growth spurt. My 'roids are acting up too and I'm particularly sad about that.
Appointments/US this week
36 week appointment tomorrow! NST, GSB swab, blood testing, and a growth ultrasound. I'm particularly excited about the ultrasound because my doc is going to let DD "help" with it and see the baby. I honestly didn't think she would understand ahead of time, but that she would enjoy doing it. She did understand and is so excited to go to the doctor with me!

HUGE rave for my doctor in the idea to bring DD to my appointment! My rant is that I have moths in my house and I can't figure out the best way to get rid of them.

Yep - I don't have a copy on my computer though, it's on DH's machine. We'll print it as soon as we get the GSB results back. It basically says that I don't want pitocin (that I want alternate methods), I don't want to be asked about pain medicine, that I prefer dim lighting. Then it says that DH will cut the cord, we want delayed cord clamping, no yanking on the cord during placenta delivery, breastfeeding right away and that DH will help with the first bath. That's all I can remember off the top of my head!
37 weeks today! Baby is lettuce, but really, he's much, much bigger. See below.

Festering: all the pain, everywhere. Back, belly, pelvis, head, legs; I've hit the point where I'm in pain somewhere 24/7.

I had an US this week to check the position of my placenta. The good news is its no longer low; I was really wanting to avoid a c-section. The bad news is that the reason my fundal height is measuring so large (41 weeks on Thursday) is because little one is estimated at 9 POUNDS *AND* I have extra amniotic fluid.

Ranting a bit about the midwife I saw yesterday. She's ok, but has always been a bit dismissive of symptoms/concerns I've had when I've seen her in the past. (We rotate through all the midwives at this practice.) When I asked about the possibility of induction, she said they wouldn't induce before 39 weeks. Which, on one level I understand of course, but with such a large baby, plus extra fluid, I'd really like to induce before then. I'm concerned waiting will only give him time to get so big that I can't deliver him vaginally.

I'm not married to it, but I have some things I'd like to see happen, as long as there are no issues. I want to avoid a c-section (haven't had one yet, and at age 38, I'd like to not start now). I don't want an epidural, but I do want IV pain meds. I don't want to deliver on my back in stirrups, but rather on my side like with my last delivery, or squatting. I'd like skin-to-skin right away, and delayed cord clamping. I also have medical issues with breastfeeding, so while I plan to breastfeed for at least the first 24 hours, I don't want to be harassed about it if it's not going well.

I am 31 weeks babybis the size of a A bundle of asparagus.

Contraction like feeling but it seems to early. My stomach gets really tight and baby pertrudes out. Don’t remember it this early with my DD. Makes it hard to walk or drive when this happens.

Nope I am having a C section which is out of my control so I have given up on any kind of a plan.
New/Interesting/Festering Symptoms: continued leg cramps that wake me up in the middle of the night. Back is hurting a lot more especially after my commute to and from work. Feeling like I can’t breathe after eating and short of breath more often.

Rants/Raves: we had our baby shower this weekend and it was a lot of fun. Ranting about work and wish they would allow me to work from home a couple of days a week.
Do you have a birth plan? If so, share it here. How "married" are you to this plan? Nothing written in stone. I’d like to avoid an epidural if I can but not opposed to it depending on my pain level. Plan to have my husband and mom there and would like music playing to keep me calm and focused. Would also like a squat bar at the end of the bed for delivering. I feel like this might be a better position for me when pushing.

Appointments/US this week I had a NST, BPP and appointment on Monday -- was my last appointment before our scheduled C-section on Tuesday.

Not really. I don't want to be allowed to go more than a week overdue (which I have discussed w/ my OB), want the epidural, just want a healthy mom & baby at the end of the process.
