I'm came home last night to my husband emptying out our spare room because he wants to replace the carpet before it becomes a nursery. I was like "ummmmm........calm down."
Seriously! Im a tad bit jealous. My SO is the exact opposite, he's totally fine waiting until the last minute for everything. Even up to the point of him running to the store to buy a carseat while I'm in the hospital. Ummmm....NO!

Let him do alllllll the work. Ha ha ha.

@molosmiles Mine is the same way. He wanted to wait unti the baby was born to buy anything incuding diapers.

I can't even with my coworkers today. I wish I could just close and lock my door to avoid them all day. At least I do not have an office mate.

@molosmiles @pttomato I was surprised because thus far he won't even discuss it because of our history. I think it's partially because he has to go to some military training in August and he'll want it done before this winter so if he empties it, I can get the work done even with him not here.

Question: My friends are planning a trip to go tubing/floating down the river at the end of the month. The company we are going through doesn't say anything in their waiver about pregnant women participating? Any experience in this? I will be almost 13 weeks at the time.

Don't worry I have emailed my doctor and the company both to ask their opinion also.

@emmaaa if it's just a slow moving river and floating I think you'd be fine. I'd skip white water rafting.

@emmaaa my experience with tubing is that it's super lazy. Just coasting down a river. I'd definitely say it's safe if it's like that.

My kid was extra fussy yesterday, and I got a text that his temp is 100. They won't send him home unless it's 101, but if they do send him home, he can't go back to daycare for 24 hours. Ugh. I'm really hoping that that doesn't happen because I don't have a babysitter for tomorrow. He was sooo clingy, so I feel bad that I can't be home with him. I know he's just teething.

emmaaa that sounds like a great pregnant lady activity. Bring some water! And watch out for your ass and those rocks. But that goes for everyone!

@emmaaa lazy river tubing was so much fun when I went! Some guys were canoeing bc they had coolers full of booze and my tube was tied to their canoe. It was fun except booze + heat really made me dehydrated fast! Bring PLENTY of water and put pregnancy-friendly sunscreen on!

Oh and UO/FFWC? Yes, tubing down the lazy river means it can take pretty long depending where you go. I would not judge you if you peed while going down because #pregnancybladder. Everyone does it or so I’d like to think and I may have done it once.

Nothing like having pregnancy diarrhea while your toddler screams on the other side of the door because suddenly she really NEEDS mommy.  :|

@tosh24 how cool and reassuring! Makes me want to buy one.

DH went out to have dinner w his counselor. Work pays for it so they’re having a fancy night out at a high end steakhouse. I told him in order for this to work, he must bring me back their creamy mashed potatoes. Just had dinner an hour ago and I can’t stop thinking about eating mashed potatoes in a couple of hours.  :D

@tosh24 Best sound ever! I finally found it at 9w2d! Which was so long compared to with my first at 7w3d! so glad you found it, did you get to show DH yet?

Im kinda irritated because I’m loosing weight and I don’t know why. I’m not eating less, I’m not throwing up, I’ve toned down my exercising and everything. I don’t meet with my OB for the first time till the 25th and it’s just bothering me. I’ve lost 7 lbs since I found out a little over a month ago for no apparent reason.

Gah!!!! I'm so happy!!! My H said that his coworkers wife saw a Bob for $80 normally $450 and wanted to know if she should pick it up.  I said yes!!!!!!! I didn't even care what color.  Turns out it was black!! I'm so happy!!! First baby purchase!
BOBs are the best! I held off buying one for a long time because they are so expensive, but one year for our anniversary H and I decided to celebrate by each of us buying something we’d been wanting but hadn’t bought because of the cost. So I spent $650 on a double BOB, and it has been worth every penny! And that’s coming from a super frugal person. $80 is an awesome deal!

@eleven_ I love it so much! Do you have any more recommendations? I honestly never read sci fi, and now I want to go on a magical book bender.

@kns1988 Spinning Silver will be released on July 10th (written by same author) so keep your eye out for that one! If you really liked Uprooted, I would try reading Throne of Glass series or A Court of Thorns and Roses series both written by Sarah J. Maas. They are a little heavy on the romance though. If you want more fantasy/less romance, The Night Circus was excellent!

@eleven_, I'll check those out. The Night Circus is actually one of my favorites. I brought it along to the hospital when I was in labor last time thinking I would distract myself by reading. Ha, little did I know.

Guys, I am SO TIRED. I spent 3 hours helping friends move today. I didn't mention I was pregnant. I just carried things that I knew I could manage, like dresser drawers and small boxes. DS is napping, and I know I should nap, too, but I also want time to myself.

@kns1988 I have been napping every chance I get lately! I feel bad because when DS is asleep I feel like I should get stuff done but he nap normally wins out.
