Woke up this morning very sick, after having a great weekend. I can't hold nothing down. Good thing is.. 28 weeks yesterday and not too much longer of this.
@knitknitread My MW said to not cross my legs to try to prevent them, although I'm not sure where yours are located...

@knitknitread... my veins are on the girls up top which was rather unexpected. @smsaulino nooooo! sorry you are feeling so crappy AGAIN. Good weekend at least? hang in there!
I'm feeling pretty good! tired at the end of the day for sure as this 2nd tri is winding down I can say I definitely prefer it to the first! Need to start wearing some maternity undies starting to feel a little uncomfortable down there with my normal ones which is something new. Gonna take a look at the maternity clothes thread and see what you all recommend

I was hoping my month long spree of 3-4 day migraines were over that can't be broken with prescription meds.. but alas one. And what's new on the menu? Carpal tunnel numbness, tingling, weakness, and pain in my wrists and hands. That came on suddenly..a week and a half I'd say
15 years ago I broke my left ankle. I have never really had pain in it since. Until I get pregnant and I guess the relaxin has loosened the muscles and tendons around the old break and holy cow it hurts! All the time, walking around the house, up and down the stairs, flip flops or tennis shoes doesn’t matter.

Omg - @knitknitread I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy! I hope they can give you something, anything that can help! And, @smsaulino Boo to feeling bad again. I think this rough pregnancy means you are going to have a sweet perfect kid (I’m just making up that old wives tale!)
I’m tired as always, but have small bursts of energy. I hope that continues. I had weird butt muscle stiffness/ache on the right side only in May. That seems to have gone away. Now I’m having weird mild swelling and discomfort in my left ankle. clearly I must be lopsided! I frequently feel a lot of pressure in my legs and rubbing them helps. My sinuses are still problematic, but much improved since May (thanks to lots of saline spray and humidifier).
Oh, and I give zero fucks about anything other than this baby. Is that a symtom? I feel like it is.
@knitknitread I've always had veinage down there and was told pregnancy could be rough for me. So far so good. But I was told something about compression underwear that they can prescribe which you can get from a medical supply store.
So going off my last post in randoms, I think maybe one of the things I forgot from the first time around was how different sex feels during the later stages of pregnancy. Things are definitely getting swollen down there and not feeling like it used to. FFTC? I feel like I want to try to continue having sex later into this pregnancy than I did my first time since my poor H was going crazy until I got cleared PP (and actually felt up to it), and I'm not sure what to expect tearing wise this time.
I honestly don’t even know what she’s known for other than Twitter and being married to John Legend but I love that Chrissy Teigan is being so frank about PP. Most recently, veiny boobs. Mine are so bad I’ve been trying to tan them to hide the veins before the wedding I’m in this weekend.
TMI warning: I really want to enjoy sex, but it’s just not happening. All the usual tricks do nothing for me. I’m good with going for it anyways, just wind up less than satisfied when it’s over. I still like feeling close and connected w dh, and I haven’t told him it’s not so great cause I have no idea what will help besides waiting out the pregnancy.
It’s super frustrating to me because before dd was born sex was a meh for me and after, it was so.much.better, and now it’s worse than meh.

I have been doing ok, pretty good most days. I have just hit a wall of exhaustion. I don't know if it is a combination of the school year being over and yet I am still doing summer school or what, but man, I am exhausted. The past couple of days my body just aches.
@knitknitread This came out of nowhere, so all I had were left over tums from my previous pregnancy! I have an OB appt next Thursday so if it keeps up, I'll definitely bring it up.
Also super interested in the idea of sex, not so much actually having sex, but like @nlc8424 I'm trying to execute more now because pregnancy sex sounds a whole hell of a lot better than PP sex. Both the idea and execution of PP sex just makes me shudder. Touched out, leaking, I smell so weird, if I have 10 minutes to myself I'd rather shower or eat, yeah...
@Redpuma119 I could take or leave sex right now too, but similar to @jhjocelyn I like to make an effort since it helps H and I stay close and connected. I know many people are not of the mentality to have sex with your spouse "just because you should", and that's not exactly how I feel, but I want to feel close to H and I want him to feel good so this is a compromise for me (not that it happens often anyway, but it's enough).
I’m also really worried about sex after. I really hope to be back to normal and able to enjoy it. I’m making an effort to do it now. It actually feels really good to me, but I’m rarely in the mood (or frequently too tired). H definitely gets freaked out about doing it so close to the baby. I have to reassure him every time. But then he gets over it and into it.
When we have sex it's great! But actually wanting to and finding the time.... I just never seem to want to actually do it, but love the idea of it! We have to just choose to do it.. poor hubby
Seriously, (sex after recovering from birth of course) really improved for me. I know that’s not everyone’s experience but I share because I had no idea that could happen.
I was scared at first, dh was almost amused.., like “how is it gonna hurt, I saw what fit outta there...” which totally made me less nervous. But also, things must have shifted around because I was one who struggled to O and prolly did 1 in 3 attempts pre-baby, and went to multiple every time post baby.
...currently scoring 0 every time... ugh.

Since sex was the straw that broke my pre term labor camel's back this time, my husband is afraid to do it my, but I remember not being willing for like 9 months after my son was born last time, and I'm having no scary contractions either, so I'm cleared and would rather do it some now for husband's sake...but again he gets nervous which causes issues. Sigh.

@lisac113 thank you! There is so much out there, good to know what worked for you. I am gonna order a pack, they look comfy and for that price can't go wrong. @SkilledSailor my girls are super veiny too! was out in a tiny bikini this weekend and I think the tanned areas made the veins actually look darker, beware! Hope that is one symptom that will eventually go away for us.

They are popping up on my labia and holy hell they are uncomfortable. Couldn't really cross my legs if I wanted to.
I've tried light exercise and then I just end up icing my vagina.
So it's definitely getting mentioned at my OB appt this week so that hopefully they can give me some tips to keep them from getting worse.
That sucks. I'm so sorry!

@skilledsailor I have never heard anyone call it sitting "criss cross" before. It makes sense though.

Here's hoping for some form of relief on Wednesday.
@Patience7150 I am so sorry. That level of heart burn sucks so much. Have they put you on any meds yet?
