Right now I'm eating ice chips but even those taste weird (WTF!?!). Trying to figure out what to eat (while taking into account my 23 food allergies) is so painful I just want to cry all day long.

  • Tonight we're having prime rib cooked sous vide, and mashed cauliflower. God, I hope the nausea stays away so I can enjoy this.

And the best part of cooking sous vide is that it's completely safe to cook the prime rib medium rare.  The sous vide holds the roast at the set temperature for hours, so any germs are killed through pasteurization. Yay for steak that isn't overcooked!

  • Scrambled eggs and Chinese takeout!
  • Ramen noodles! I was feeling awful this morning but then I ate some ramen and felt better. Honestly, it’s whatever sounds good at the moment. Sometimes I feel like Phoebe from Friends when she was pregnant and couldn’t find anything to eat.

  • The only thing that has been consistently appetizing to me is Swiss Miss pudding. Super healthy right?

Vegetables are on my shit list right now. Carbs are hit or miss. Only pudding prevails.

  • @tosh24 That sounds awful! Food allergies are the worst.

I’m living for fresh strawberries and bell peppers right now. Red peppers + almond butter is my new favorite snack.

Thanks for the sympathy, guys. It totally does suck. I've been sick most of my life and didn't find out it was food allergies until 10 years ago in my mid-20's. I miss eating so many things!
ETA: Right now I'm mainly living off raw carrots, broccoli, cucumber, fresh berries and red meat.

  • @DLpanda08 peppers and almond butter is interesting! I’ve been so off veggies, even though I usually love them. I hate feeling like I’m not eating healthy. Today I bought baby bell peppers that I’m going to try stuffing with tuna salad.
@tosh24 even with those restrictions you’re still eating way better foods than I am!

Buttered bread, bananas with peanut butter, and Kraft Dinner...

I take back Kraft Dinner, it tastes like dirt...
  • A whole bunch of carbs. I generally eat pretty close to paleo, but carbs are calling my name and boy, am I answering. I haven't eaten gluten in about a year, but I have been having some bites here and there and it is proving to be a poor decision. The amount of  bloating is insane.

If this is anything like my last pregnancy, I will eat complete garbage during the first trimester then reign it in for the 2nd and 3rd. I gained 50 lbs my last pregnancy even though I was eating well, but I dropped 45 of it within 4 months postpartum. I'm a few years older this time, though, so I'm hoping it works out as well as it did last time.
  • Today I hit Chick-fil-A and man did those waffle fries hit the spot.

  • Goldfish! The delicious orange crackers seem to be the only thing that doesn't make me nauseous.
  • Tamales!!!!! I'm craving chicken tamales from the tamale place i love,  with hatch Chilis, sour cream,  guac oh man,  my mouth is watering. The pressure I'm putting on DH is mounting.
  • Fried chicken from Popeyes. So so bad for me. So so delicious.

I made bacon yesterday and it was the best ever! Also, I'm really craving pineapple again. I ate a pineapple every day when I was pregnant with ds and really messed up my teeth so I need to make sure to not get too crazy again.
  • I’m currently surviving off of cereal and french fries. Everything else is dead to me.
  • @jgil85 I ate a can of pineapple yesterday. Nom.

I’m in an all-day mediation sneaking saltines on the sly because my boss is here with me and doesn’t know I’m pregnant.

Should be interesting trying to find something palatable to eat when we go to lunch :grimace:

  • I had a donut this morning and it made me so happy!
  • @ladystout08 I had fritos last night and a lime lacroix, basically exactly your picture and it was soooo good.  The combo was spot on! Refreshing and crispy.
  • @galactickates it hit the spot! Nausea immediately went away thank goodness.

Taco Bell bean burritos (first time I have eaten those in about a decade) and orange slices
  • bb2510bb2510 member
I really like sandwiches! Anything I can munch on. I'm not a huge fan of sweets anymore. Interesting because pre-pregnancy was the total opposite (sweet not savory). I do still like fruit though thankfully.
Like @snackheart, not into veggies anymore but forcing myself to eat them anyway. Bleh.
  • I could eat a toasted english muffin with butter and jelly on it for every single meal and be happy. And Starbucks frapuccinos! (with almond milk no whip)
  • I'm craving fettuccini alfredo! I think I might even be okay with some broccoli in it, even though I'm with most of you in the veggies aversion club.
  • Last night I saw an empty package of sour gummy worms in the parking lot at Walmart. I had to buy some when I went in the store.

I’m not a huge fan of candy, so that was a strange craving (but SO good).

  • Last night we went out and had some delicious fries with a few different dipping sauces and it was the best.  Yummmmmm
  • I ended up ordering chicken noodle soup at lunch. Can’t go wrong, right? Wrong.

It was the weirdest chicken noodle soup ever. It didn’t have noodles; just a few spoonfuls of orzo. And it was full of veggies—not just the normal ones like carrots and celery, but also bell peppers and potatoes.

    Wtf. No.

  • I want butter chicken for dinner today. It’s more tomato based than anything so I’m hoping DD can eat some too bc DH has a late night company event today. Indian take out is bold right now esp given my extra sensitivity to smells but butter chicken is doable. :)
