New Here: IVF?

Hi everyone, I am new to the site and I am not really sure where to go from here. I have been trying with my husband for over 1 year, without any results. I have been looking into IVF but I am not sure if my husband is willing to do it because it may cost too much for us right now. Any additional help or information on IVF would be much appreciated.

Hi Maddie, I am sorry to hear that. If you haven't done so already, the first thing would be to talk to your gynecologist or reach out to a fertility clinic and make an appointment with reproductive endocrinologist for a fertility consultation. Your RE will work with you both to try and determine why conception has not happened yet. It is a little difficult to quote how much fertility treatments cost when you are not sure what fertility treatments you may or may not need. So I would start there. Some insurance plans have some coverage of fertility treatments, so if cost is an issue look into what your insurance covers, or maybe switch to find a plan that is best for you both. Good Luck!

@maddieventura hello! If you want information on IVF, I would check out one of the monthly IVF threads. They offer a lot of information from people currently experiencing what you are considering. I am on my first cycle of IVF and active in the June 2018 IVF thread. I also read advice from someone that reading 3 complete threads from past months helps a lot too with learning.
