Birth certificate

its my first child in Georgia. I forgot to ask the process during my hospital tour. What is the process for the birth certificate after giving birth? Do they come into your room and have you fill out the paperwork? All the ups and downs please! 

Eta: do you need to have anything specific with you?? I lost my wallet last week so I’m hoping not having my ID won’t be a huge deal?? I’m having my baby in a few days.
