Infertility

Low AMH, High FHS

Scheduled a consult (in two weeks) with a fertility clinic due to some recent labs I had drawn.

Fsh is 17 and my AMH is 0.201. I’m 33.

My OBGYN has been less than helpful.

I have no firm diagnosis, but from the research I have conducted, possible diminished ovarian reserve. I’m so disheartened from some of the information I have ccome acrossed.

My 21 day progesterone was 1.9 mg/ml

Does anyone have any tips, information, or feedback?

  • Also, I’m new here...I realize this posted twice, but I can’t figure out how to delete it lol
  • @nursharris sorry you got those labs? Is the FSH day 3? If not make sure get one with the RE along with an AFC. If it’s confirmed come on over to the low AMH thread. I would advise taking some time to read through it then introduce yourself there and join us. We’re a small tightly nit group.

  • Thanks for your response! Yes, those were on day 3, unfortunately. I will definitely check out the AMH thread and introduce myself.

@nursharris sorry to hear that your results are not ideal. I had the same issue low AMH and high FSH. I was 34 when I found out. We tried IVF and the first 3 cycles didnt work as you can see from my siggy. The forth one worked and I am now expecting. I made some changes and added ubiquinol, mayan abdominal massage, acupuncture to my already healthy lifestyle. As emmasemm suggested there are super helpful ladies on that board (I was there as well) that can help you. Plus I suggest you read the older posts as well as most of the questions may have already been discussed. Good luck with IF and keep your spirits high. I hope you have your baby soon.
  • Thank you for the information! I have been scanning through older posts in the AMH board...lots of useful information. For my initial consult this Thursday, I’m planning to discuss more aggressive treatment options...not really sure what to expect.
