@wildrainbow - I think the rolls are easier to feel right now because it's a bigger movement whereas if you're up and moving about you probably won't feel kicks yet (vs laying down with a doppler and also being able to hear the same time you feel it). That is my experience anyway.

So I'm putting together a reminder/chore list for M (DSD) who is 7 for when she's at our house every other week this summer. She has jobs when she's there but (and this is our fault) we haven't always been super consistent with them so I want to start this summer fresh and have the visual cues there and ready for her. Any suggestions on things to add or am I missing anything super obvious?

Thank you everyone for the advice and helping me relax. I’m sure it’s fine... I just miscarried super early in a pregnancy about a year ago now, so I’m counting my lucky stars and still constantly holding my breath this time around!
I have an anterior placenta so don’t feel movement until around 20 Weeks (this is my third). It always makes me nervous even though I know it’s normal.
@piping_panda_mom - Yes! I actually had my normal amount of energy up until week 12 and then it all went away. I have been super exhausted for the last 5 weeks and needing a lot more sleep than I did in the early weeks.
@iheartbooks - I had super itchy skin with my first and the doctor recommended not using any soap on my upper body during pregnancy. She said the soap from the shampoo running down my body should be good enough. It helped so much and the dry skin went away, so something to consider!
@wildrainbow - you will probably feel more kicks and jabs as baby starts to get bigger.

My husband's best friend wants to throw us a gender reveal party and wants us to get the results in an envelope from the doctor and give them to him. My anatomy scan is scheduled for June 29th (19+2). My husband and I have birthday's one day apart in July, so I proposed combining our annual birthday barbecue and the gender reveal party. I originally proposed July 7th for the party thinking I can deal with waiting a week to know. Said best friend's child is having surgery on July 5th, so the 7th is out. The new proposed date is July 15th. I honestly don't want to wait another 2 weeks to find out. DH is adamant that I not know in advance. What would you do? Options: 1) Find out myself, but still a surprise for DH 2) Try to move my AS to a week later 3) Do the party in June and skip the birthday celebration part 4) Have two separate parties
@susan112118 - I was pretty much in the same boat. My best friend really wanted to throw us a gender reveal party. She is so excited and I told her early on that we'd let her. My anatomy untrasound is on Tuesday (6/12) and she will come with us to learn the gender from the Dr. But we won't know till the party. She will be out of town next two weekends then my parents will be gone so our gender reveal party won't be until July 7th. We gotta wait 3 weeks!! It's gonna feel like torture but my DH said we waited this long, a few more weeks won't kill us. So I'm planning to put my energy and focus on planning decorations for the party so I have something to focus on and keep me from asking my best friend to give me a hint. Good luck to you with waiting, I know it will be difficult.
@susan112118 I would suggest 3 or 4 as the best options. I think one would be kinda a bummer for your husband and ruin half the fun. Moving the anatomy scan might be just as much torture and who knows if your doctor even has space that week. I think two parties is fun if you can swing it, but if that’s too much just have the party in June and do something small for the birthdays this year
I vote 2 if you doctor can accomodate it. Then the torture won't be as long and you can leave your plans intact. Otherwise 3 or 4, whichever you prefer of those.

Does anyone know at what point a fever can become dangerous for the baby and what I can take? So far I’m not planning on taking anything since it’s so small.
I plan on calling my doctor tomorrow when her office opens, but was wondering if anyone has dealt with fevers while pregnant.
@BabyBoyH92016 The pamphlet I got from my OB says to report fevers above 100 degrees immediately. I haven't personally dealt with fevers while pregnant, so I'm not sure. As long as you don't feel completely awful it's probably okay to wait to call til the morning. I hope you feel better soon!
@BabyBoyH92016 - I would definitely be taking the Tylenol. Try to break the fever and take the Tylenol as often as needed to keep the fever from going higher. You might also want to call tomorrow for good measure. I hope you get better soon!

Thanks everyone. By the time my hubs got home with medicine it was 101.2. I took the medicine immediately and the fever is on it’s way down. Will definitely keep an eye on it and not let it get that high again.
@BabyBoyH92016 I’d call and let them know what’s going on with a fever, just to see if they want you to go in to your PCP. I had the flu early in first tri (fever up to 103 that spiked back up every time Tylenol wore off) on and off for 24 hours, and then a low grade fever for another few days.
@susan112118 Which option are you and DH most on board with? I’m super selfish with my pregnancies/babies as newborns, and I would do whichever option will make you both the happiest. I wouldn’t put off finding out the gender of my baby to fit someone else’s schedule, even if they’re doing something nice for me and it’s for a good reason (but I hate parties, haha, so I would never let them throw me one, so might not completely understand the dilemma).
@susan112118 +1,000 to what @runningyogimama said. The best part about pregnancy is that you're allowed to be a little selfish. Not in a rude way, but right now, this baby is YOURS and you should do whatever makes you happiest. Sure, you wouldn't die if you had to wait a few weeks to find out the sex, but do you really WANT to wait that long? It's completely acceptable if you don't want to and no one will judge you for it. I would avoid option 1. That sounds disappointing for YH. Maybe just do a small party in June after the AS? Or you could do a very small reveal with YHs friend, followed by a larger reveal at the BBQ?
Anyone having any cramping? I've been cramping for the past 45 minutes or so. I'm trying not to freak out. I've been guzzling water, so I dont thinks it's because of dehydration.
@wildrainbow do you think it could be a vitamin deficiency? potassium and magnesium come to mind, for me. also, possibly just normal stretching or something. i had some cramping, but mine was due to dehydration. hope they go away soon.
@highsteaks I don't know. They feel like menstrual cramps and don't go away when I move or change positions or walk around. I called my dr, but they are closed for lunch.
@wildrainbow hope your doc gets back to you soon. not to say i think it’s serious or anything, but it will be more reassuring to hear it’s ok from a doc. are you able to lay on your left side for a bit until then?
do you have some gatoraide or poweraid or something to switch it up? this is a far-off theory, but maybe so much water is throwing off your electrolytes.

Yeah, I do. I will try that and see. Didn't even think about that.
@wildrainbow - hopefully its just dehydration or weird uterus stretching and your doc gets with you soon. My only other suggestion would be maybe some Tylenol if you feel comfortable taking that to try and help relax the muscles. Not a dr at all but was thinking maybe that would help. Hope doc is done with lunch soon!
@wildrainbow have you eaten your normal amount today? Sometimes I feel if I don’t eat enough by the afternoon I feel crampy and it eases up after I eat something. Hope that you feel better soon!
@wildrainbow thinking of you and hoping your doctor's office gets back to you soon

@wildrainbow I get cramps occasionally. It could just be growing pains, or it could even be indigestion. Hopefully your doctor can provide more reassurance!
@runningyogimama I called my doctor this morning and she didn’t seem concerned. The fever was stubborn and even with Tylenol it didn’t break until early this morning. She said that since its gone that everything is fine, but too keep taking my temp and if it comes back I need to go see my PCP.
All is well!! Placenta is low and anterior but no previa! Cervix is closed. Baby boy looks good! He was curled in a ball behind my placenta. He has super long legs, so it looks like I've got another long legged boy on my hands. I'm so happy, I could burst!
