Infertility

Help please!

I just had an IUI with donor sperm this afternoon. I had been on GonalF and ovulated about 5 eggs this cycle. My stomach is so bloated and swollen and I have cramps that are killing me. I can hardly walk it hurts so bad. I have had 5 IUI ‘s before and a failed attempt at IVF and nothing has felt like this. I don’t know what to do to make it better. Someone please help me!

  • @hannah_g1988 If you feel you are having a medical emergency, definitely go to the nearest urgent care or emergency room. It’s not worth risking your health, especially if you’ve never experienced pain like this during similar procedures. Generally, Tylenol is considered safe during IF treatments, but the pain level you are describing doesn’t sound like minor discomfort.

I urge you to page your doctor and seek medical help imediately. Sever pain during IF treatments should not be ignored.
Best of luck and I hope the pain will go away and you'll be back to your normal self!
  • @hannah_g1988 I agree with the others you should definitely seek medical attention whether it be the on call doctors at your clinic or at the ER. I wouldnt mess around. Hopefully they can elevate the pain quickly!
