Hi ladies! I don't think we've had one of these in awhile. I love how everyone is chatting throughout multiple threads but thought it might also be nice to talk to other FTMs here.

How far along are you?
We're coming into third trimester! How are you feeling?

GTKY: Any babymoons or other vacations this summer? What about staycations?
Re: FTM June Check-In
I'm still sick a couple days a week and having terrible right rib pain.
I found out this morning that our cousin and his wife are expecting, in the most casual way. "I just wanted you to know before the shower next weekend, that there's another baby joining the family." I'm super excited for them. They are due next year on the day we found out this year that we're expecting at the doctor's office.
I'm starting to get excited about Polly's shower next weekend. So many have already blessed her. And after the shower, a good friend is selling us all of her daughter's gear from the past 6 months for super cheap. All we will need after that is a car seat and Owlet.
We aren't taking any vacations this summer but DH has mentioned plenty of date days/nights. I'm excited about that because he's normally too busy with work for us to do anything together.
I’m on a quasi vacation now. H has a work conference this weekend so I’m tagging along - staying in a super nice hotel and eating my way through our old neighborhood in Chicago. Someone please remind me to do this frequently when baby can still fly for free and I’m not working yet! It’s much better than missing him at home. No planned vacations, but I hope to do some day trips around SoCal after we move and before the baby is here
@smsaulino how exciting to have another baby joining the family!
@jaylii just because it’s not somewhere new doesn’t mean it won’t be fun. Plus, since you know where you like to eat and things you like to do you won’t have to stress about those things. I bet it will be such a relaxing trip!!
Sorry so long.
I'm 23 weeks 4 days
I feel big and numb on my left hand and arm...
Just tried on Motherhood Maternity swimsuit and LOVE it! So excited.
I'll be going to Houston my hometown in 2 weeks bc my mom is hosting a baby shower for me. I'll also go to my timeshare in Fl the first week in July with DH, SS, and mom. I can't wait... Only not looking forward to the drive there.
Rant: I jogged to the elevator at work and asked someone to hold it and they just stared at me and let it go
Rave: I bought some dresses for summer summer and my SIL just bought ALL of the diapering supplies from our amazon registry!
We took a vacation in April. But we’ve got a lot of visitors this summer! My besties (who are sisters!) will be here next week for our shower, and MIL & SIL will be here the week after. We’ve got lots of entertaining to do
24w6d! Although first 15w were absolute misery the last 10w have gone by nicely!
The fatigue is coming back, and I guess the crazy heat waves we're getting aren't helping. It's pretty cool to be feeling the baby though, even caught a few kicks on camera! Slowly starting to get the 3rd tri symptoms of back/pelvic/pubic bone pain, the BH are interesting, heart burn if there's anything putting even the slightest pressure on my stomach (like bending to put shoes), etc. I'm honestly not minding this nearly as much as the N&V of the beginning.
I always realize how lucky we are to have a family that's really rallying around us and just being so involved and helpful, it's bringing us all closer. I was terrified at first because in September I'm going in my second year of grad studies and my SO starting his first year of grad studies, but seeing how everyone is coming together and being so helpful I am confident we will pull through.
We already went for our baby moon, so more like date nights!
@smsaulino Sorry you're still feeling so sick. It's sweet that your H wants to be sure y'all go on plenty of dates this summer! Get them in while it's easy(ier)!
@dexnie Yes to traveling while they fly free! As of right now, LO already has three trips he's going on next year. That's cool that you get to travel with your H on his business trips. Does he have them often?
@runninginva Oh how fun! Pics of Bermuda?
@jaylii Oh a trip to Cape Cod sounds lovely. Never been before but it sounds very relaxing. Having been before, what are some of your favorite things to do there?
@klj0228 Girl yes to bikinis! I'm already hella hot. Why would we want to add more fabric when this is the one time of year being near naked in public is socially acceptable? Sorry everyone is up in your business. Would they respect it if you told them you and your H are wanting to spend this time enjoying these things as a family of two?
@jazzvaughn Yay for finding a bathing suit you love! I feel like that's so tricky to do, pregnant or not.
@samd Ew rude coworker!
@tpeci That's great y'all have such good support. What are you and your SO studying?
We are both nurses studying to be nurse practitioners. We were unsuccessfully trying for a few months and figured we might stop trying and he can apply and do his masters right away... and as he applied I got pregnant. We thought he might defer by one year but since the families have been so helpful and his grand parents are coming for a few months to help with house stuff he will do it part time.
@smsaulino what are you studying in?? I would have liked doing the same but because the classes are so small they are only given once a year, so I would have no choice but to completely delay my studies by a whole year. So I decided to do this year part time and then finish it the following year.
@smsaulino now I understand all the excitement around another baby in the family. It will be awesome to have a cousin close in age to Polly.
@samd6 yay for your SIL buying the diapering supplies! I am trying to stay away from my registries so I’m still surprised when my shower comes in a few weeks, but it’s so hard!!
@SkilledSailor he definitely travels frequently, but I never got to take advantage in the past because of my work schedule (most trips are during the week). Hoping we can take advantage before I go back to work - he goes to really fun places!

Still good! Constipation on and off still. New symptoms of hand numbness at night and leg cramps.
I got a whole bunch of clothes and other baby things from my sister! So excited to wash them amen put them away... in the dresser we have yet to buy. LOL
Upstate NY with friends and some cottage time with family.

I'm personally partial to the lower Cape which is from Orleans to Provincetown.
-Provincetown is a fun day trip. Commercial street is full of shops and restaurants. You can also catch a whale watching tour, go through the Whydah pirate ship museum and climb Pilgrim Monument.
-Wellfleet has a great downtown area full of shops, art galleries and restaurants.
-There are kettle ponds all over Cape Cod which are great for swimming. The ocean is great but it's the north Atlantic so it's pretty cold!
-Walk oceanside and bay side beaches.
-Go for ice cream every night.
I could go on and on but Cape Cod is a lot of fun and makes a great couple or family vacation!
How far along are you?
24 weeks today
Pretty good, definitely bigger for sure. Some minor low back pain if I sit it certain positions for too long. A little stretching and some exercises I found online doing the trick for now.
Looking ahead to summer , I see its going to be a busy one, something on nearly every weekend and big events to look forward to like a shower for a good family friend and mine
My hubby and I are planning a little getaway to upstate New York. Me too @Starla
@runninginva a babymoon in Bermuda sounds so lovely! Love it down south, one place I have not been yet. Hope you had the best time
@smsaulino ugh! sorry you are feeling crappy still. I bet the heat doesn't help at times. Congrats on having another baby in the family. Nice to have little ones close ish together in age at family events and things.
@SkilledSailor glad you are feeling good-ish, a trip to Florida sounds amazing! I hear ya on the busy social calender this summer, trying to get my visits in now while i'm still feeling good too.

I’m feeling pretty good! Still fighting congestion and dealing with insomnia. Hoping the placenta has moved up.
I’m just still trying to wrap my brain around the registry. I’m being very indecisive!
I traveled a lot in the last month! I’m on my way home now. And, that’s it. I’m done! Summer will be busy, but I’m looking forward to being home and sitting by the pool and celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary in July! We also have friends visiting in late July, so the plan is to have the nursery/guest room done by then. My husband was painting the apartment this week while I was away and I’m so excited to get back and see it! Our baby shower is in early August, so after that we will be able to see what else we need.
that sounds fantastic!
@smsaulino I don't know how you handle the TX heat. And the humidity. I can't even..

We're coming into third trimester! How are you feeling?
I am still feeling really good. I have been flying a lot this week, and all of the sitting really has my butt hurting! Also, a little tired since baby has decided that 4am is go-time.. it has happened without fail, every day for the last 2 weeks. And she must be transverse, because I am getting punched on both sides of my belly simultaneously. It's almost like she's doing a toe-touch or something.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Is anyone else experiencing a change in their bump on the daily? I will go from looking super pregnant one day, to looking like I did 6 weeks ago over the course of a day. I'm assuming it has to do with baby's positioning or how the bowels are moving.. but still so weird. Anyone else with a magic bump?
GTKY: Any babymoons or other vacations this summer? What about staycations?
My job takes me out and about quite a bit, so I have gotten a lot of change of scenery. My H and I have a few tentative plans to see family on the East coast this summer, but we will see if we end up doing that.

We're coming into third trimester! How are you feeling?
Definitely feeling pregnant, at least while I'm at work. I work outside so I've been watching what I do and how long I'm in the heat. The back pain has been worse lately but overall I feel okay. We are going on our hospital tour next week, I'm excited but a little nervouse cause it means my little one is coming soon!
Just a little stressed about some things..
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Rave-The nursery is finally painted! I am in love with it! Hubby is starting to get materials together to build our daughters crib. Has anyone else built their own crib instead of buying??
Rant- our roommate is finally moving out of our basement. Hubby & I have been married over a year, we didn't know if we were going to move or not but figured out we could pay this house off in 5 years if we stayed. Then we found out I was pregnant, after telling our roommate (I was 12 weeks at the time) we thought he would move out in 2-3 months since he said when we got married "as soon as a baby comes in the picture I'm out"...Now it's been 6 months, he started to move out on Monday but oh boy he is taking his time. He took all the important things like his bed, tv, mini fridge and computer on Monday but let ALL HIS TRASH! We even found bugs in his room. My husband flipped out last night on him saying he needs to be out by today and clean so he can spray for bugs while I'm out of the house. But his stuff is still down there! This is stressing me out because we cant continue with finishing the nursery or move our other furniture into the basement till this is all handled. I don't think I've ever met someone so lazy and disgusting. Y'all would have flipped if you saw how he left the basement on Monday. Rant done
GTKY: Any babymoons or other vacations this summer? What about staycations?
We went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for our babymoon during memorial day weekend since hubby and I both had an extended weekend. Oh man was it busy there! We did a lot that Saturday with walking around and checking out some places but other than that we stayed in our hotel and relaxed. We honestly didn't want to deal with all the people so if you go, plan to go in the off season! Overall it was nice to relax and lay in bed with my hubby all day.
