I have not been really caring or limiting my caffeine like I probably should. I tried, but failed and now, meh.
I have not been eating vegetables, like, at ALL this entire pregnancy. The thought of them makes my stomach turn. I'm usually pretty good about eating my veggies, but right now give me all the carbs.
I hate all TV shows that are based off the views model. The View is the worst, followed by the Real. I don’t even enjoy the Doctors but could give the Chew a pass because FOOD! I could not care less about their opinions!! It annoys be when I leave a TV on, walk into a the room and they are on. It’s like, I just accidentally helped their ratings. *shakes head in disappointment and turns of tv*
@scaredunprepared I didn't eat veggies for quite a few weeks there. I think since you were eating them before you got pregnant, you are probably fine. Hopefully you'll start to feel less sick soon and can eat some veggies.
Earlier this week we ate lunch in a diner before seeing a movie. I got my leftover shrimp basket in a cup so I could easily sneak it into the theater. About two hours later I stopped munching because I suddenly realized that room-temp shrimp probably isn’t good for anybody.
That was lunch. I was so full that instead of dinner I just drank my watermelon agua fresca.

@scaredunprepared solidarity girl! I'm like bread, cheese, pasta - get in my belly!! veggies.. not unless you're hidden in my subway sandwich (which I had for lunch today.. mmm). I nearly threw up while H was cooking stir fry the other night! I traded mine in for a steak and cheese wrap..
@scaredunprepared if you want to try to increase veggies, you can sneak them in stuff. I’ve been making smoothies and putting greens in it, can’t really taste it. In the past I’ve made cheese sauces (like for homemade Mac & cheese) where you sub out half the sauce for puréed cauliflower. Same thing for carrots and red/spaghetti sauce. I also like the taste of veggie juices (like V8), so that’s been really helpful for me.
I feel like I’m eating fruits and veggies fine, but I haven’t really been eating meat. I know I need the protein, but it’s just gross. I’ve never “liked” meat (I can count on one hand the number of times I ate a meat and thought it was yummy), and now it’s even more gross. I should buy some kind of seafood (I was a pescatarian before I switched to all meats) to make at home, and actually take the time to prep beans. I have lots of dry beans, I just always forget to soak them.
Speaking of McDonalds, my FFFC is that I eat McDonald's ALL the time when pregnant. I never eat it otherwise and am normally pretty health conscious, but for some reason their breakfast sandwiches are the only thing that get me through the first trimester. I'm sure it's just terrible nutrition wise but everything else makes me want to puke. I am literally eating a sausage McMuffin right now. Oh well!
@LLynde5 Totally agree re: the View type shows. I am just so sick of people's opinions at this point. Between Twitter, Facebook, and every other social media site I am like, at a saturation point where I basically no longer care what anyone thinks about anything! And it never amounts to progress, no one is ever like huh, that really makes me think, I'm gonna change my view! It's just yelling to rile each other up, whether online or in shows like that. Bleh.
@kristah2 yes! I am perfectly fine with veggies hidden in sandwiches and on pizza! But straight up broccoli... gag.
@tumbleweed-1 good ideas! I'm going to try smoothies with spinach. I can say, v-8 doesn't sound gross at the moment either. As for meat, you can get your protein and iron from other foods, just make sure your getting them. You don't need meat (yestersay was a no meat day for me!). I lived on apples with peanut butter yesterday.

^ This! DH and I mostly gave up TV years ago because we super don't care about popular opinions. We watch a lot of sci-fi on Netflix and Amazon, but that's it. No network TV, no cable/satellite. We don't do drama - thoughtful peacefulness is our jam. Most folks think we're 'crazy' and I wholly disagree.

@tumbleweed123 I agree with the meat. I am lucky to get two servings in a day.
@maureenmce no judgment here on the McDonald’s whatever gets you through!!
This is is on topic but not PC. My old OB was an older Indian lady. (Picture an older Mindy Lahiri, just as sassy) She was very healthy conscious but freaked out on me when I was concerned about listeria in lunchmeat. She said she serviced a very poor community prior to her current job and those Mom’s ate chips, slim Jim’s and orange pop as staples of their diets, basically whatever they wanted and had beautiful healthy babies. Poor nutrition is worst for the mom than the baby in her opinion. The baby will steal whatever they need from you. It’s not a free pass to eat garbage all day, everyday but do whatever it takes to fuel your body. The healthier obviously the better. I still heated my lunch meat but didn’t skip the foods I was craving after that.
I agree about View-type shows. I have never had cable as an adult. My parents had the TV on all the time when I was growing up. Now my husband and I use Netflix and HBO-Go when we want to watch something, but quiet is very nice most of the time.
I'm thrilled to be having a girl but I confess that I will be returning anything with excessive amounts of pink/bows/frill or anything with the word princess. I just can't do it. If she decides when she's older that she likes that kind of stuff I'm okay with it, but as long as I have I say in it there will be none of that.

I can’t stand meat right now- I can eat some McDonalds hamburgers and a Taco Bell taco - I explain it to h - it doesn’t take like real meat anyway!
I could have written this myself! My "meats" that are tolerable right now are taco bell tacos and frozen fish sticks. I can't stand good quality meat right now!
I commented, but forgot to add my fffc. I guess it’s not too “flamey”, but I don’t buy Tupperware/food storage containers. All of the ones I have belong to my MIL. I don’t really intend to return them. I don’t feel bad about it at all. She can, and will, just buy herself new ones if she needs them. (If it would set her back financially then of course I would give her her stuff back). When I bring a dish to their place, then they get some of them back, I just don’t intentionally pack her a bag of her clean dishes to return. Perhaps if I run out of cupboard space some day then I will.
@tumbleweed-1 my mother-in-law uses only recycled plastic containers like Cool whip or butter tubs. Wouldn't be worth it for us to keep. Once we had to go through 5 I can't believe it's not butter containers to find my son's leftover spaghetti-os I'm sure if it was ever an issue she would say so lol
