HCG doubling...

Question about HCG levels...I went in Monday and my levels were 189, then 48 hours later on Wednesday and they were at 401. So clearly they doubled...but they seemed concerned and want me to come back again this coming Monday....has anyone ever had an issue where they doubled the first draw and went back and they were no longer doubling?

I just hit 5 weeks today, I was only 4 weeks 3 days and 4 weeks 5 days for those two draws...

That's not bad numbers at all then. Wait until you see Monday's numbers before you freak out. So far everything looks good from my experience.

Thank you for your input!....I recently had 2 chemical pregnancies so I’m a little more anxious about this one, and they made me feel like they needed a third draw because they were concerned or something...

hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age)* :

• 3 weeks LMP: 5 – 50 mIU/mL
• 4 weeks LMP: 5 – 426 mIU/mL
• 5 weeks LMP: 18 – 7,340 mIU/mL
• 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 – 56,500 mIU/mL
• 7 – 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 – 229,000 mIU/mL
• 9 – 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 – 288,000 mIU/mL
• 13 – 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 – 254,000 mIU/mL
• 17 – 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 – 165,400 mIU/mL
• 25 – 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 – 117,000 mIU/mL
• Non-pregnant females: 0 – 5 mIU/mL
• Postmenopausal females: 0 – 8 mIU/mL

* These numbers are just a guideline – every woman’s level of hCG can rise differently. It is not necessarily the level that matters, but rather the change in the level.

Hey I’m kinda dealing with the same thing. But mine way more then doubled. 148 last Monday 96 hrs later 1106 and my doctor wants me in tomorrow for another draw. When I google hCG levels many different charts come up so it’s hard to know which ones are more accurate. I also had a chemical pregnancy last month so maybe our doctors just want to monitor a little more since there is a history of chemicals. I’m trying to just be positive since it’s the best thing for baby and myself I’m supposed to be 5 weeks this Thursday

 Both of your numbers seem to be within the acceptable range. I went in for multiple draws because of a prior CP, also. Honestly, they had me come in more for my own sanity and than out have any medical concerns. It is so hard in those early days to not drive yourself crazy, and for me the numbers helped.

Honestly, I don't think that you have to worry based on numbers. They might just be going for a 2nd draw to confirm that everything is good.
